I did not like Bijoy talking about Sona's re-marriage so lightly. Sona's re-marriage also includes Soha's decision. Though I do understand where it was coming from and I hope he does not try to pressurise her for anything. Agree that its usually Asha whose decision holds in Bose family and she was sensible.I have been reading many posts regd Sona who never tried to be friends with Dev in season-1 and she needs to realise it.My two cents on this whole thing.Anything happens between a couple is never one-sided. Nothing. It takes two to tango. Only the contribution percent differs.Devakshi started when Sona was the glimmer of hope for Dev. Someone with whom he could share his views and problems. Sona's answers would be the perfect ones which many a time resolved the issues or guided Dev in handling the issue. Sona became Dev's only true friend. It was never the other way round. She never shared her insecurities or problems with him. This is not her mistake though. For her, he was already burdened heavily by the Dixit clan and his mama-mami(I dont consider them to be Dixits). He already had too much on his plate. Instinctively you wont share your problems with someone who is muddled up with his own ones always. After marriage, I did not see the equation changing. I have never seen Dev proactively concerned about Boses or their well being..may the CVs did not show it but does a Son-in-law have any duty of calling up his in-laws once in a while and just talk casually about how they are and how is their health etc? I dont see any active participation from Dev's side. Neither did Sona try to inform hm about anything...he already had too much to begin with..so Boses thought lets us resolve our issues ourselves. Friendship is never a one-way approach. If Sona could not be friends with Dev, there has to be the approachability factor which never let her do so with the person she loved so much. She cared about him too much to burden him with more of her problems. Dev, as usual, the naive one never thought Sona and her family could be facing problems. If I care to call up my in-laws to know about their well-being, my hubby too should be calling up to my parents once in a while to know about their well being.Dev never let the window open. Sona ,lovestruck, tried to avoid it as well. Even if Sona realises her mistake here, she can not befriend him if he doesnot let her. The initiative has to come from both.Ishwari's absence made my day.My observation: Bose family is expanding. I expect Dev will end up soon here too.😆

As usual wonderful post tia 👏
jatin seems very good & much understanding person who knows what's going on inside sona's mind or heart. Sona's fear that dev snack sona is totally understandable. we know how dev behaved in award function then everyday in office, how can mother put her child in this kind of person? This kind of behavior is not good for kids we all know & Ishwari? Can any mother want her child stay with people? Dev never respect sona or sona' s family so her fear ia valid for me.

Husna (annihilation.) pointed me to your yesterday's post and I had a laughing fit.😆 Your commentary has to be the best thing about the show. Even better than the episodes themselves. So I couldn't stop myself from commenting.
Thank you Rida. Welcome to my post. Thanks to Husna for recommending it.
I'm not a follower or regular watcher of the show. I've seen a few episodes in s1 and have been following a bit of s2 since the last week. To be honest, I literally watch the show to see Dev give it to Ishwari. That gives me such a kick.😆We are on the same boat. 😆
There are obviously times when I sympathize with the Indian television creatives. Too many cooks spoil the broth and I believe that's mostly the case with every single indian Tv show. The channel wants something, the writers want something, the director envision something. Add to that the TRPs and other pressures, the tight scheduling and low budgeting and you have this khichdi. They say suspend your disbelief when watching a fiction. In Indian shows, this holds true to the very T.
They're more often than not one-dimensional and mills & boonsy where it's all about the eye-locks and drama, which is why I really don't watch them for the logic or depth or understanding.
But even then, sometimes you're really wondering what is the exact definition of love? Love is always the most apparent logic. She loves him. He loves her. Even after 7 years, we all know that. But what exactly is love to CVs? the whole angst? where they save each other's life and can't see one another in pain? But why is love always shown to be this angst-passion dimensional only? That is my question as well. Why love has to be angsty all the time? Who wants to watch people suffering?
I mean who doesn't enjoy two good looking people throwing shades and hot looks at one another?😆 but that's not what love truly is.
It's respecting your partner first. Respect is the utmost important thing. Respect them, their potential, their space, their strengths and stand with them and support them.Who doesn't want that from a life partner/lover? for them to be that calming balm in your life, for them to be your support? for them to tell you you've in yourself the ability to conquer the world. The person who understands your dilemmas before you word them, even through the fights.
Not only did Dev ridicule Sonakshi's potential (given he did it in anger, stress and nobody gets 5 crores just like that) but he also in a way did leave her to deal with the outcome of this decision alone. She had gotten into it partly because of him and then they divorced, she was out of her home, all her struggles, pretty much everything was her. Did he ever look back and realize what if she can't pay that loan? I have to help her, or support her indirectly? That's what love is (who knows what revelation CVs might have in store in the future though.😆 )
But he also is ridiculing her now every chance he gets just to satisfy his petty ego and keep the whole 'tashan' thing going because of course.OMG... I totally agree. I was literally saying exactly this until my nails broke over my tablet screen but it seemed such a futile effort. Why is it such a difficult concept? It's like a woman's respect is oxymoron that we made up overnight.
Instead CVs show the qualities in so many other men surrounding Sonakshi whereas Dev is there to give her those smirks, and hot angry looks and interpret Suraj chaand sitaare.😆I swear, I was this close to say, Suraj, chanda, sitare... Bhad me gaye saare. Abuse, ridicule, harass seems to be the way to a woman's heart these days and then we complaint about eve-teases and men who can't take no for an answer.
Hopefully, they'll show Dev becoming a person who will respect her as the smart, wonderfully independent and intelligent woman she is, he will repent and be sorry to her what he and his family did to her, and marvel in her accomplishments, be her life support, be more mature and be the aggressive front she needs. Otherwise, rithvik, jatin and all side parties look much more better romance potentials than Dev. Like if this were real life WHAT GIRL WON'T WANT A GUY LIKE THAT? especially if he can calm you like that.😆😆 though I just liked how they showed him to be a totally awesome friend and nothing else (and ofcourse he had to be the investor. becaaauseee...) and he's got good vibes. (but you never know when he turns into a potential fiance and what else. because larka larki kabhi dost nahi hosakte etc.etc.)Good question, I would like to know that answer as well. I agree with you about Jatin being a good friend. I don't know about later, but I liked the bonding he has with Sona and Bose family.
This turned quite long. I really loved your post. the surajmukhi jwalamukhi had me in splits.😆
Thank you. 😆
I really hope they can bring around Dev's character. I TOTALLY LOOOVEEED it when he was giving those jawaab after jawaab to Ishwari no less but all of this also makes you realize that Sonakshi's life is so much better right now without him. Her family loves her. She has a loving daughter, an ambition and successful business of her own, great friends. She isn't being suffocated, ridiculed, criticized every second. Why would she want to go from this to Dev again? for the supposed 'love' factor? CVs better make their reunion (if there's one in store) a logical one because otherwise the whole 'and love conquered all (even sensibility)' device of Indian CVs that play the role of Ex-Machina will have all of us rolling our eyes.😆
Rida.
Lol... We loved yesterday's episode too. CVs ne phir se Dev ko wohi laake khada kar diya. Now I would like to know the answer to your question as well. What Dev has to offer Sonakshi that will make her go back to him? Soha can spend time with her dad. But as a boyfriend and as a husband, Dev was a failure. So until he becomes a nicer person and actually improves his attitude, I don't see why Sonakshi have to go back to him even if she doesn't get together with Jatin.

Dev and the Dixit family just stopped short of bending themselves backwards to make them happy , because they were necessary and important and super richie rich potential business investors . Even Ishwari , some how pushing aside her insecurity , agreed for the engagement ! 😉 And Dev also promptly said yes when Mr. Guzral passive aggressively bluntly told him that unless and untill he accepts Nut's hand , business deal to bhul hi jao.The case in point is - even Ishwari enterprise is not above running after investors. So what's the problem if they show Jatin investing in their start up ?? He's taking no credit , he's not asking for any , nor does he deserves any , that's why he promptly brushed it aside when Sona tried to give him credit. He knows it's in fact he who benefited also from such a super successful investment and that's becoz of Sona's genius , skills , foresight and hard work and vision.

I think Jatin has just invested money and rest all hardwork is from Sona only. Bose family as always was cool on their part. Sona - Soha are just treat to watch for me. Dev Dixit's action does not match with his action, he wants to get rid of Sonakshi and does all possible thing to gain her attention.
Sonakshi Bose, you are mature enough to handle soha's issue gracefully so just stay strong.
