P.S @shaavi, Ishwari's psyche analysis was so good. Still, am not a big fan of her, whatever her motivations or reasons 😆
I don't like her either, but feel bad for her. 😊 in the beginning of the series she is shown to be a sensible and strong person. She appreciated Sonakshi multiple times and even supported her. She told Dev that Sonakshi's MIL would be very happy with her. When Sonakshi tells Ishwari about her broken alliance with Kushan, Ishwari advises how it was all good. She praises Sonakshi's upbringing when Sona convinces Neha to wear the lehenga sent by Ranveer family. How did Ishwari forget all this as soon as Dev came into this picture?.
I remember reading this saying -- there are bad children, bad brother, sister etc, but there is never a bad mother. But then I feel neither Ishwari nor GKB are good mothers. Both have given an upbringing where the sons end up miserable. If sons like Dev end up being alone or lose their family, sons like Vickky end up in jail or become criminals. So then why do we define mothers as the epitome of goodness.
Also in India the mental disorders are not really diagnosed as most of the time it is not even considered as might be the reason for one's behavior. I mean in U.S. Ishwari would be considered having suffered from PTSD or some such syndrome or condition. Why there is not much awareness among people.
Today while watching Harry Potter i felt Soha and Golu are like Hermoine and Ron. Also in previous thread we were discussing how Voldemort was evil because of lack of love in his life. But then Bellatrix Lestrange is also described as equally evil. What drove her when she is shown to have come from a decent family.
Ishwari is always shown to strive to be called the perfect mother. Is being perfect mother more important than giving your child a happy life. Is being an average mother so bad that it is considered as below standard if your child is happy with being who they are and not what you want them to be.
I am just trying to understand what drove Ishwari to where she is today... 😊 and is it possible for someone like her to redeem themselves.
