Thank you. Yes, that's an excellent point again, Payal. Usually when two people are fighting, the family points out and reminds to their boy or girl about their relationship. When one of them makes an effort, the family of the receiving party, like your mother, points out that as well.

Ranveer did make an effort even at a trying time when his mother was critically ill. He called, he texted and he came to see Neha with Sona. But Neha not only didn't bother talking to him but actually stomped off and insulted Ranveer.

Sona on the other hand had more reason to be upset, but still she neither by behaviour nor by deed, let Dev's respect lower in front of her family.

Neha married Ranveer knowing him as not at all ambitious person who was very content with his life. Assuming he will change after marriage was her problem, not Ranveer's. He has never indicated otherwise.

On the other hand, Dev has given numerous proof that he can change if he realises his mistakes and he is only willing to do for Sona. Also, Sona never demanded Dev to sort out his mummy issues. She just expected him to follow his repeat claim of Sona being part of his family with behaviour and deeds. That's not an unbelievable assumption to make because Dev already claimed otherwise.

However, the same people who are supporting Neha and blaming Ranveer are also blaming Sona. I just can't understand the logic behind it.

Absolutely loved your post. Especially that toast incident 😆

All these small incidents will impact Dev subconsciously. Change is a very slow process. Yesterday I was watching the show with my mother. When Dev came to bose house, I said he doesn't care when his wife is at his house and now is running behind her.

My mother just said one thing it takes time. Look he is making an effort. Throughout his life he has been under his mother's thumb. It is going to take a lot of time for him to come out of it. But he is slowly changing.

That set me thinking. Neha knew ranveers financial position and self respect before marriage so it is wrong for her to expect rqnveer to change.

Sonakshi knew of Dev's mummy issues before marriage. So why are we blaming her if she is using herculean patience to change Dev and win his trust.

I know I will get brickbats for this but I fail to understand how Ishwari is supporting Neha divorce.
Neha got an engagement broken publicly because she didn't want children. Gets married after six months and walks out of that marriage within 3 months. Who is going to marry Neha after this. She is not qualified to spend her life and time in a job. Doesn't seem interested also else she could have opened a business like boutique also. Entire life (which means at least fifty more years) can't be spent shopping. Ishwari's life span is not unlimited and after a point Dev is bound to be more immersed in his personal family issues

. What is Neha going to do then. If Ishwari tries to remarry her there is no way in hell she can get a good groom in arranged marriage except If Dev purchases a husband for her.

That guy will love only money and Neha will forever feel this fact.

This Neha fiasco will also create difficulties in marriage of riya and Nikki. Ideally it should not but practically it does especially in arranged marriage. On top of it Ishwari is leaving no stone unturned to ensure Dev's marriage breaks. It is only Sona and Dev's love holding it together. Does the foolish lady who acts so mature even once thinks about the repercussions

Are you talking about Dixits having foresights on their actions ? 😲 Like I blame Sona, I blame you Payal for expecting such things from Dixits after watching them in a good 180+ episodes😕😆

A small correction though - Neha didn't break the engagement, Ishwari's insecurity of losing Dev by having him married to the same house as Neha's got the proposal broken 😆

This is why I precisely feel bad for Neha, she has her priorities right - No Kids, No Poverty and lots of love only for herserlf. Very rarely people have their priorities THIS right and clear, whether she finds a husband who matches with this list or not is of another topic of discussion, but had Ishwari and Dev known even 10% of Neha which they claim to know, they would find a groom for her like that. But Dev and Ishwari had always been busy into each other, no time to truly find Neha's happiness which is why Neha surrendered herself into Ranveer who had all the love and time of the world for her. 😛 Ishwari doesn't want Dev and Neha both to settle down peacefully with their respective spouses and think about THEIR mid-age life etc. So selfish that she still thinks of only herself at this age. 😕 Why are you surprised with Ishwari supporting Neha for divorce when she has fully prepared herself and Dev/Family for even Dev's divorce. 😆 Ishwari has seen Dev's condition without Sonakshi, did that stop her from arranging the prenup documents fraudulently thinking that how would Dev even survive without Sona ? No 😃😆

Probably the only mother I have seen around who is ever-so-ready for their children's divorce 😆. All that matters to her is what they think about HER and take care of HER, image-conscious mommy who knows nothing beyond judging people and thinking of being judged by others 😆. Why are you worried about how Dev will become busy in his personal life ? You forgot she is preparing with full force to ensure that he doesn't have any 😉

Agree 100%to every thing you said. Want to do sashtang dandvat pranam to Ishwari maiyya. Dev is right in one respect though. There is really no other mother like his in the entire universe. 😆

@ Tia
It's because men are treated far better in their in-laws and their own home than women. A woman's family knows that if they treat their son-in-law badly, they will lose their daughter too because of course as a wife, their daughter will support her husband and consider his respect as hers. Even in Hindu mythology, Sati sacrificed her life when her father insulted her husband, Shiv. Can you remember similar example if the gender is reversed?

A man's family knows that there's no way a man ever think that his wife's insult is his insult and leave his family if his wife is not treated well. If he does, he will be called Jodu ka ghulam and not a great husband. So the behaviour continues.

Agree with you on all points. But not every girl will have the good luck to feel as free as she does at her parent's house. That includes me even.

Years may pass by but the feeling of being left out of many important issues will continue further.
Very few girls would get a sasural that is similar to their own house,Blessed are those couples,in laws and parents.

Thanks guys... God, you guys are so logical. I love that. I always get what you are trying say. And Dixits defies logic and sense. No wonder they baffle me.

They say something and then promptly contradict that...

Coming to Neha, she wanted two things in life - love and money. But she also wanted both for free. One she gave up for the other and promptly regretted. But had she gave up on love for money, she'd have regretted it too. Unfortunately nothing can make her happy because she always looks at others and wants what they have minus their struggle and effort to maintain their happiness.

No one in Dixit family gives a damn about her future to speak some home truths to her. They think love means giving people what they want whether they deserve it or not, whether they truly will benefit from it or not. And when things go sideways, they blame others for their own decisions.

It's going to cost Neha but that might be too late by then. But I have no doubt that even then she will blame someone else for this, most likely Sona.
