1. Their first fight after marriage - Job for Vicky vs. work for Saurabh.
The twist - Vicky had no experience and no qualification for the job he was assigned. If he was assigned an intern he could have learned the job from scratch IF he really wanted to learn the job. But Dev gave him a far more responsible post for which the bills just started to arrive today.
If Dev suffers loss, his entire family will be affected among them Sona.
Saurabh had MBA and experience running an online business successfully but he can't judge people's motive. Give him a partner who won't take advantage of him and he is set. Sona used her knowledge of nutrition to set up a business which Saurabh can get benefit of.
If Sona suffers loss, no one will get affected beyond Saurabh. Sona will still have her job and since she didn't invest a single penny in the business, no one in Dixit family will even feel the heat.
2. Dev didn't want to discuss his past with Sona and Sona didn't want to discuss Saurabh's situation with Dev.
The twist - Dev's past affects Sona in every life's decision but since Sona didn't ask for Dev's help or money nor used her own money to set up Saurabh's business, it doesn't affect Dev.
Sona lives in Dixit house so she is too close to the heat. Dev doesn't live in Bose house so zero impact on his life.
Although I still believe husband and wife should share everything with each other whether the matter impacts them or not. However, I wonder how Dev will feel when he finds out that Saurabh was going through trouble but no one informed him. Probably as much of an outsider as Sona was feeling.
3. After their first fight, Dev wasn't picking up Sona's phone. Today Sona isn't picking up his phone.
The twist - By sleeping in the couch of his family's living room, Dev aired their marriage in public. Sona never, by deed or behaviour, exposed her anger or hurt in front of her family keeping in mind Dev's respect in her family's eyes.
4. So far Sona had to push in to be part of the inner circle of Dev's family and today Dev pushed in to be part of her family's inner circle.
The twist - Sona was treated as interloper by the inner circle of Dev's family and Dev was welcomed with open arms and warmth by inner circle of Sona's family. I wonder if Dev will notice the difference or will still be in delusion that Sona feels as warm and cherished at his home as he did at Bose family.
Precap: Bijoy told Ishwari that he kicked both Dev and Sona out. Ishwari is panicking as if Bijoy kicked out a 7 and 8 year old on the street at night or is she worried that they might get another romantic night at a hotel out of it?
Hummm... I wonder!!!
EDITED: Today the scene where Asha asks Sona to show Dev the bathroom and give him a towel and Sona's response reminded me of a similar experience with my Dida and husband. My husband and I traveled 6 months in India around the time of our wedding in India. That included one month stay in Kolkata. As it is son-in-law visit is big deal for families and here my husband is Canadian and never been to India before so that sent my mother and Dida into a tizzy despite me telling them to treat him like they treat me.
Anyways, the morning after we arrived, my Dida made whole wheat toast for my husband after asking him what he eats for breakfast. Then she looked at me and goes, "Tia, keep your phone away and butter his toast."
My husband who was about to butter his toast, first surprised and then decided to take advantage, so he also chirps after Dida, "Yeah, butter my toast." While wiggling his eyebrows behind Dida's back (Dida was facing me).
I looked up from my phone and answered sweetly, "Why? Is he wearing Mehendi?"
Dida's brow gets wrinkled, "No."
My response, "Then he can butter his own toast."
So Dida decided to butter his toast and lament on my attitude and at the same time my husband tried to take the toast from her to put butter himself because he didn't want Dida to do it for him and with pushing and pulling, the half buttered/jam smeared toast went flying to the ceiling and got stuck there which my husband had to peel down because he is 6'2".
Of course that made me laugh. So I had to just take a dig, "Darling, do you want any more toasts buttered for you?"
My husband went sheepishly: "No thanks."
We still laugh remembering that incident.
