Ha ha, thanks. I used to dabble in poetry as typical teen going through artistic phase. But that was it. I wrote a few fan fiction on Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon that I finished and one that I didn't.
About Dixits, yes I agree. I find their attitude towards people outside their own little circle appalling. And you are right, who better to understand Ranveer than Dev?
Is Ranveer inflexible and stubborn when it comes to his family and taking decision on his own without any consideration for his wife? Yes. But for Dev that should be like looking into the mirror.
Sona can give Ranveer advice, Dev can't. He has done nothing for Sona that he is asking Ranveer to do for his sister.
But as usual, Dev doesn't see the parallel.
You are correct in your statement that there has been zero character growth for Dev Dixit since he manipulated Sona to be his mother's nutritionist.
But why should there be any character growth? What are the consequences of his attitude? He only got rewarded for them and still being rewarded.
When he made Sona get fired from her job for the first time, Sona not only became his mother's nutritionist but also fell in love with him.
The second time he fired her from the job and broke up with her, his mother got Sona back by emotional blackmail.
He manipulated Ritwik to lose his dream and ruined their date, Sona dumped Ritwik and married him.
He took decisions all by himself, from the decision to break up to Vicky's position to cancelling honeymoon and Sona continued to be understanding and planning a night out as a reward for his absolutely amazing attitude.
Now tell me, if your behaviour gets you rewarded, would you change that behaviour? Even animals won't do that, let alone humans.
Moving on to Sona. She is author of her own position. She complained the first night that she is not a toy his mother obtained for him. But she has willingly turned into just that.
She still hasn't gone back to work for Dev's family's sake whereas they can't wait to get her out of the door and stay out.
Dev joined his office from the second day of marriage and yet to take a day off for even his family.
Sona was treated like a trophy wife because she is behaving like one. Stand there, look pretty, entertain me when I want, rest of the time stay out of my business. At least trophy wives knowingly enter their marriage trading looks and self-respect for money. Sona is still in the delusion that she is in a equal partnership.
As I mentioned before, when two people are involved, the fault never lies solely on one side. May be it's 60-40 or even 70-30 or say even 80-20. But the fault lies on both sides.
Today when Dev was talking about sacrifices, I wanted Sona to ask what sacrifices he has done since he got married. But Sona these days doesn't say anything that makes Dev angry because now Dev can show major attitude and just sleep on the living room couch for her in-laws to speculate on their relationship.
It is uncomfortable to watch Sona going through such a drastic personality change since marriage that the woman who was the only one who used to show the mirror to Dev, now only panders to his ego. This is the same person who showed Dev the mirror when he insulted Ranveer's background before and refused to talk to him until Dev came to her house to say sorry.
Now Sona is the woman who is just a wife who is there to nod at Dev's every decision as long as he pays a little attention to her. The best friend is no longer there.

Your posts are like poetry Tia. Have you ever tried writing ? Just a suggestion from a fellow book-lover bong 😉😊
Couldn't have said it better ! What surprises me more and more with each passing episode is - the utter selfishness and arrogance of the Dixits. Will Dev ever learn ? Is that even a solution to force Ranveer to accept your arrogant sister's unfair demands ? He did it 3 times before, he is doing it again. I absolutely LOATHE it how Dev can't see things beyond his family ! Being THIS selfish for your family and disregarding other's emotions/choices/sentiments like this is really the characteristics of a good human being ? NO. This is somewhat Episode 180+ and Dev is still where he was in Episode 3 - Forcing Sona to serve his ego by unfair means ! I have never seen such selfish male lead ever in tele world, and if there are, then there is a learning curve, the leads slowly learn to value everyone's sentiments. Cannot justify the selfishness of Dixits just in the name of so-called 'troubled' past.
And thanks to everyone in this thread who rightfully mentions about Sona's being self-respect-less meek timid low-profile horrible-self Is this what I signed for ?? NO. In the name of reality, they have turned her into a much worse version of 'gopi bahu'.. If the show is anything close to real, they should show her struggle to accept such character-transformation, they should show her fight between her brain and heart, her judgments about the selfish Dixits, her wondering how double-standard they are, at least some monologues on the same if she can't express these to anyone ? Instead Sona is happy being Dev's toy which Ishwari has got for her. For once, neither Sona, nor Mamaji is telling Dev to ponder over Neha's demands that if tomorrow Sona had asked the same, will Dev accept it ? I want to see Dev's expressions when he will come face-to-face with his own selfish-soul 🤔.
I have no words for Ishwari. Her claim to know Neha is laughworthy. It was her who forced Dev to agree for Neha and Ranveer's wedding saying lau is everything blah blah. If she had known Neha THAT well, why couldn't she stop that marriage itself . Howmuchever sad I am for Ranveer, I am happy if he is out of this paagalkhana 😳. I still sympathize with Neha. I dont want to defend her actions, but I still can understand the criticality of Neha's character. But honestly Dev surprises me. Who can understand Ranveer's poverty, his responsibility towards his family, his self-respect and the burden of running a family on his own - better than Dev himself ? And what irritates me more is the justifications thrown to defend his pathetic actions.
I read somewhere in the spoiler than Ranveer is going to question the Dixits on their looking at this divorce thing differently. I just hope he or somebody asks the right and MOST valid question at this scenario - If Dev were Ranveer, what would Dixits want him to do !
I feel like going inside my screen and ask this myself 😡
