If you think about it, Dixits are very lucky. They mostly got the best deal of luck.

Both Dixit siblings got great in-laws. Both Ranveer's family and Bose family are incredibly nice and understanding.

But both Ranveer and Sona got the raw end of the deal when they got their in-laws.

Neha wanted a man like Dev, she got Ranveer who is like Dev in every way except in status. But she does not want to stay with him. Now she wants luxury.

Dev wanted a woman who is smart and independent, he got Sona who is all that but he only appreciates her when she falls meekly into his plan and is not interfering in his family business. Now he wants Sona to do as he says and keep her mouth shut.

Funny how they can't appreciate the qualities in their life partner that made them fall in love with them in the first place.

It's almost as if someone falls in love with an outfit in a shop and buys it. Then alters it to the point that it's beyond recognition as the previous outfit they fell in love with. The only difference is that the outfits have no emotion, no feelings.

Very well said Tia 👏

Ha ha, thanks. I used to dabble in poetry as typical teen going through artistic phase. But that was it. I wrote a few fan fiction on Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon that I finished and one that I didn't.

About Dixits, yes I agree. I find their attitude towards people outside their own little circle appalling. And you are right, who better to understand Ranveer than Dev?

Is Ranveer inflexible and stubborn when it comes to his family and taking decision on his own without any consideration for his wife? Yes. But for Dev that should be like looking into the mirror.

Sona can give Ranveer advice, Dev can't. He has done nothing for Sona that he is asking Ranveer to do for his sister.

But as usual, Dev doesn't see the parallel.

You are correct in your statement that there has been zero character growth for Dev Dixit since he manipulated Sona to be his mother's nutritionist.

But why should there be any character growth? What are the consequences of his attitude? He only got rewarded for them and still being rewarded.

When he made Sona get fired from her job for the first time, Sona not only became his mother's nutritionist but also fell in love with him.

The second time he fired her from the job and broke up with her, his mother got Sona back by emotional blackmail.

He manipulated Ritwik to lose his dream and ruined their date, Sona dumped Ritwik and married him.

He took decisions all by himself, from the decision to break up to Vicky's position to cancelling honeymoon and Sona continued to be understanding and planning a night out as a reward for his absolutely amazing attitude.

Now tell me, if your behaviour gets you rewarded, would you change that behaviour? Even animals won't do that, let alone humans.

Moving on to Sona. She is author of her own position. She complained the first night that she is not a toy his mother obtained for him. But she has willingly turned into just that.

She still hasn't gone back to work for Dev's family's sake whereas they can't wait to get her out of the door and stay out.

Dev joined his office from the second day of marriage and yet to take a day off for even his family.

Sona was treated like a trophy wife because she is behaving like one. Stand there, look pretty, entertain me when I want, rest of the time stay out of my business. At least trophy wives knowingly enter their marriage trading looks and self-respect for money. Sona is still in the delusion that she is in a equal partnership.

As I mentioned before, when two people are involved, the fault never lies solely on one side. May be it's 60-40 or even 70-30 or say even 80-20. But the fault lies on both sides.

Today when Dev was talking about sacrifices, I wanted Sona to ask what sacrifices he has done since he got married. But Sona these days doesn't say anything that makes Dev angry because now Dev can show major attitude and just sleep on the living room couch for her in-laws to speculate on their relationship.

It is uncomfortable to watch Sona going through such a drastic personality change since marriage that the woman who was the only one who used to show the mirror to Dev, now only panders to his ego. This is the same person who showed Dev the mirror when he insulted Ranveer's background before and refused to talk to him until Dev came to her house to say sorry.

Now Sona is the woman who is just a wife who is there to nod at Dev's every decision as long as he pays a little attention to her. The best friend is no longer there.

Your posts are like poetry Tia. Have you ever tried writing ? Just a suggestion from a fellow book-lover bong 😉😊

Couldn't have said it better ! What surprises me more and more with each passing episode is - the utter selfishness and arrogance of the Dixits. Will Dev ever learn ? Is that even a solution to force Ranveer to accept your arrogant sister's unfair demands ? He did it 3 times before, he is doing it again. I absolutely LOATHE it how Dev can't see things beyond his family ! Being THIS selfish for your family and disregarding other's emotions/choices/sentiments like this is really the characteristics of a good human being ? NO. This is somewhat Episode 180+ and Dev is still where he was in Episode 3 - Forcing Sona to serve his ego by unfair means ! I have never seen such selfish male lead ever in tele world, and if there are, then there is a learning curve, the leads slowly learn to value everyone's sentiments. Cannot justify the selfishness of Dixits just in the name of so-called 'troubled' past.

And thanks to everyone in this thread who rightfully mentions about Sona's being self-respect-less meek timid low-profile horrible-self Is this what I signed for ?? NO. In the name of reality, they have turned her into a much worse version of 'gopi bahu'.. If the show is anything close to real, they should show her struggle to accept such character-transformation, they should show her fight between her brain and heart, her judgments about the selfish Dixits, her wondering how double-standard they are, at least some monologues on the same if she can't express these to anyone ? Instead Sona is happy being Dev's toy which Ishwari has got for her. For once, neither Sona, nor Mamaji is telling Dev to ponder over Neha's demands that if tomorrow Sona had asked the same, will Dev accept it ? I want to see Dev's expressions when he will come face-to-face with his own selfish-soul 🤔.

I have no words for Ishwari. Her claim to know Neha is laughworthy. It was her who forced Dev to agree for Neha and Ranveer's wedding saying lau is everything blah blah. If she had known Neha THAT well, why couldn't she stop that marriage itself . Howmuchever sad I am for Ranveer, I am happy if he is out of this paagalkhana 😳. I still sympathize with Neha. I dont want to defend her actions, but I still can understand the criticality of Neha's character. But honestly Dev surprises me. Who can understand Ranveer's poverty, his responsibility towards his family, his self-respect and the burden of running a family on his own - better than Dev himself ? And what irritates me more is the justifications thrown to defend his pathetic actions.

I read somewhere in the spoiler than Ranveer is going to question the Dixits on their looking at this divorce thing differently. I just hope he or somebody asks the right and MOST valid question at this scenario - If Dev were Ranveer, what would Dixits want him to do !

I feel like going inside my screen and ask this myself 😡

Nice post as usual tia..Wanted to share my thoughts..

Sona is taking time today understand this new family of hers and i dont think she was actually looking for thier permission. She was just thibking if this is right time to join back as there are so many problems at home and probably she has already taken that time off .. She is probably just thinking of joining back earlier than she had planned to due to bose family financial problems.. Unless dev or ishwari had any valid reasons for sona not joining earlier , dont think sona would have listened to them..

I really liked how sona has stepped back and taking her time to understand complex dixits.. She is just observeing this time.. Hopefully she will come up with plan to handle each member with out hurting anyone's feelings. Not that she should care but because i know she is good at that.

Dev-ranveer : not sure what to say here. I would have slapped dev if i was in Ranveers position. What do these dixits think of themselves,. I understand why they react certain way but coming out an insulting jiju and calling his ome kalkotri and demanding he moves out with neha--- just so dixits written all over the scene.. They think only they had difficult past and the whole world was enjoying on the beach at that time and now the world owes them all the happiness they wish for.:. Plain stupidity... If you need some thing you should also work for it and not just sit and demand for it like a 5 yr old .. I am waiting for the day when ranveer or sona will ask dev THE question- will dev leave ishwari nivas to live separately with sona if sona demands it...

I must say both dev and neha chose partners very wisely.. But do they have it in them to save their relationships is a million dollar question!!

Ps: i hope devs lawyers dont ask ranveer to pay alimony to neha

^^ I know right Tia. I am surprised to see the drastic change in her character, and CV is passing it by labelling it as reality ? Yes, it WAS a sad reality for many women in the past decade, but I thought we are going to have a modern age reality 😳.

I have started to have HUGE doubt on Sona's IQ (despite being a doctor) and logic which she used to speak awesomely before wedding. Where is that Sona who would brief Dev on his lame excited speech after Ishwari sent him to bring her 'bahu' 👏, where is that Sona who would say 'You can't take me for granted' 👍🏼, where is that Sona who would call a spade a spade and would confront Dev on his understanding of the issues related to Ranveer . Today it's like Dev-Sona cute romantic bed scene, Dev-Sona cute romantic garden scene, Dev-Sona cute romantic skooty and restro scenes. Sorry but when the basic characters are butchered to THIS extent, cute romantic crap don't interest me 👎🏼. Not having fight or difference of opinion is not a mature relationship sorry to say . Communicating, discussing and acknowledging each other's polar-opposite opinions - is what maturity is. And funny is how Ranveer in last episode, and Sona in today's episode find Devakshi relationship as ideal 😳🤣. Only Bose family can see the downfall in Sona's character only if Sona spends some time with them, well now she needs permission from Ishwari so many times for her job, let alone be it about visiting her parents 😊.

I am truly having difficult time in digesting that this is the same Sonakshi Bose who had the guts to tell Ishwari 'Barsaati naala, 2-mins noodles, kaun baat karta hai aisa?' 😎. No, she is not 💔

Thanks. Yes I felt the same at the scene between Dev and Ranveer. Specially since Ranveer is behaving exactly like Dev. However Dixits think that if someone has money they can be forgiven for anything.

I bet Neha won't have left Ranveer if he was rich regardless how bad his attitude was.

However, my complaint for Sona stems from elsewhere. I am looking back at Sona and Dev's friendship. She is the only one who always showed Dev the mirror.

Today he was talking about sacrifices that Ranveer didn't make and the sacrifices Neha made. Sona could have turned the table on him and ask what sacrifices did he make since he got married to her? All sacrifices were done on her part at his or his family's whim.

But she stayed silent.

She kept talking about Neha and Ranveer's love and I felt like shaking her. I mean come on. Their love wasn't the problem, the reality was.

Just like Dev and Sona's love was never the problem, their problem was the reality.

Ishwari sold the same hogwash to convince Neha to get married and Neha couldn't last one year with Ranveer.

To make a successful marriage, love is necessary. But it's not the only thing that's needed. People can't eat love, drink love and sleep under the shade of love.

Romantic talk often seem like cheap trinkets under the glare of reality.

Reality is that Neha won't be happy with anyone who is not as rich as Dev if not more. She won't even be happy in an upper middle class family because even in upper middle class family, you have to do some adjustments and compromises. Neha refuses to do that.

Neha won't ever be able to live with anyone who won't bend over backwards to please her. She can whip up her past to bring Ishwari and Dev to heel, her husband and in-laws won't tolerate that. They are under no obligation to cater to her whim, sad past or not.

None of these would matter if Neha was capable of loving someone enough to forget her nature like Sona did. But Neha is not Sona, she is Dev. But Ranveer is also like Dev. So they both she need Sona, not another Dev.

I think even if Dev and Sona somehow patches up Neha and Ranveer, the issues will crop up again until Neha leaves her past behind and moves on or realizes that money doesn't equate happiness, whichever comes first.

Among all the personality changes that Sona went through, her losing the friendship with Dev was the one I was most upset with. She used to tell the truth harsh or otherwise unapologetically. But now she weighs her words before she speaks because she knows the unpleasant repercussions.

We can be exactly who we are in front of our family and not tiptoe around the truth. But the comfort level is no longer there in their relationship and worse thing is that she doesn't realize it.

You are right. A healthy relationship is not the one where people don't fight, but the one where fights happen but people are willing to meet half way to sort it out because they love each other.

We enjoyed our last theatre of the season over the weekend. That was our Diwali celebration. It was pretty cold here. But we had our fall coats on and was mostly indoor, so we were fine.

Today was Halloween. I had to go to work. But I dressed up in my leopard print sweater with my little gold hairband with cat ears. That was the sum total of my costume. I could not dress up more than that at work. Lol...

The rest of the time I watched kids going for trick or treating in their costumes. It was cold today as well. So all the pumpkins, bumble bees, goblins, princesses were wearing thick sweater.

My husband cooked tonight Grilled Chicken and Macaroni and cheese. I didn't want to cook today. We had dinner, watched a movie on Netflix and now off to bed. Pretty boring.

How was your Halloween? Oh and Happy Halloween to you...

Woowwow Macaroni and Cheese and grilled chicken 😲 Oh shoot, out of all the beautiful things you wrote, my mind only captured these food details 😃😳
Glad that you enjoyed Halloween as well 👏. Happy Diwaali and Halloween (bhoot chaturdoshi 😆) to you too dear 😳

I know that comfort zone you're talking about. These days she swallows some of her words/thoughts, today I watched the episode she was about to say she won't have joined work if her family were not suffering from financial crisis. Really ? And what was that Dev taking it casually ? 😕 As a friend he should be guiding her on why she even thinks of leaving job ! Never mind, when did he anyways think and talk sense in the matters concerning Sona 😊

And also, after watching the episodes, I came to know Dev thinks Ranveer never made any sacrifices. You said it rightly. So far all Dev's selfishness has got him awarded. Add to the list - Ranveer accepted Dev's proposal of joining a high-profile job without creating much drama, result - his compromise is forgotten 😃. Ranveer was very good in putting forth all his points. I always put my bets on Sona on speaking the much-needed facts, but not anymore. Now Ranveer is my last hope to ask Dev and Dixits the right question - Had it been Sona demanding this from Dev, what would have Dev done and what would have Dixit clan wanted him to do 😛

Please Ranveer, pretty please !!!!😭

I am also a big foodie so my mind gets stuck on food as well. My husband doesn't make the best chicken (although I don't complain if I don't cook) but he makes excellent Mac 'n Cheese. He combines Cheddar cheese (we use the old Cheddar because of the sharp taste) with Velveeta for pure gooeyness. I don't know where you live. But if you find Velveeta in supermarkets, mix it with old Cheddar and milk and you will see how creamy and delicious the sauce gets. You can also add white cheddar for a more gourmet taste. Velveeta also makes awesome grilled cheese sandwiches. Add tomato slices for added taste on them with tomato soup and voila, delicious quick lunch ready.
