Sorry to butt in I couldn't stop myself from replying to this ...

At the end of the day it was Sonakshi decision to send him a invite ...even after the newspaper fiasco she sent him the invite .If she really cared about her fiance and her family she would not have sent it .After the office scene Dev never contacted her and would have stayed away from her if she had not invited him.

OK let's assume for a minute that she had best interest in mind when she sent the invite but gal did your engagement break because of Dev''s drama or because you could not control your emotions .Did Dev ask her to come running to her and take him home by leaving everything? She could have asked someone to take care of him or worse she could have called his family .Ritwick would have supported her if she hadn't left the venue .

I am surprised to see she still regrets not getting engaged to Ritwick .I thought she learnt the hard way that rebound is not the solution to her problems .

This i's something I dislike about Sonakshi ..she doesn't realise her mistake instead blames the other person completely. Even during phone incident she was mad at Dev for breaking the phone but never realized that she crossed her limit by silencing his phone .Similarly during Nikki case she as mad at Dev for blaming her but she did not realise that it was her who convinced him without knowing what Nikki was planning to do .Even today she put the entire blame on him .

I belive in calling spade a spade and this might not go well with everyone

My point is CVs CANNOT change character dynamics every single day. What happened in a day that Sona came up all fiery when a day before she was placing his head in her lap saying main ye nai dekh sakti .. Inviting him to her engagement, running away from a ceremony. Her speech was hollow today.

When earlier she knew there is no choice and Dev would never agree she was soft and mellow and teary, and now when she has Dev pleading then her self reapect comes up. CVs ruined the character.

Anyways, i hope they give the redemption track proper time but i guess they wont bcz they are too eager to get then married.

If am not wrong, she even mentioned that she knows he can't agree cos 'maa' khush nahi hai and this way they can never be happy without her consent so its best for them to move on..Correct me if am wrong but this only means she got his point of view and understood that they can never marry without his mom agreeing so its best they separate..I din't see her saying that you wont take a stand for me so its best we separate (and frankly that was the actual response required in that scene)..That should have been her dialogue back then to justify her stand today..But then, am not even going to fault any character here..The writers felt it was okay to make Sonakshi say all that cos they knew nothing was going to come out of it at that point..But now they conveniently inserted it here because now the other two characters are ready for it 😆 No offense..Sonakshi was bang on today..At this point, i don't really care for any character on this show because of how much the writers have managed to butcher them but i couldn't help but point out how everything the writers seem to be doing these days is bring in drama and more drama..Today's scene was great as a standalone..Unfortunately, a lot of reactions (almost every character) were jarring when you keep in mind the previous episodes..And the CVs seem to have this weird obsession with speeding up everything that is remotely crucial on the show..Confession, revelation to the family, their reactions, Ishwari's insecurity, break up, third angle, engagement, acceptance-everything..With zilch introspection or healing time..And i can bet on the fact that these two will probably patch up within a week (or 2 weeks max) without really resolving any issue properly..I don't get why the writers have been in such a rush but it has only resulting in ruining every single character on the show..

@bold - that is where u hit the bullseye! My entire problem with the post break up scenario. It was ONLY drama, only hightened suspense filled jaw dropping OMG non sensical situations which are faraway from reality and also from the specific characters! It irks me so much!

and as u said, they are gonna get them married and then bam .. sona's character ruined forever! atleast Dev (barring the alcohol nonsense) behaved acc to his character .. but the alcohol bit was SO unneacssary!

Oh My GOD!!
What a funny yet so meaningful post..👏
I am in office right now but was really burst into laughter after reading your post and my colleague was staring at me like anything.
I loved the all MEs part specially. Brilliant.

I am glad you just kept it till 'thinking about you in honeymoon' and not 'Taking you in my honeymoon'.

and that part 'Find your pleasure elsewhere.'Seriously yaar, I too m thinking that she should have married someone after she lost her husband.
This freaking lady failed miserably and just cannot be a matured, sensible single woman. She can go to any extent to keep her son with him forever.

As I always say..Is KALYUG KI BHAGWAAN ko shat shat pranaam😉😡

Am convinced the writers have no idea what they are doing 😆 The writers have such a skewed definition of love, loyalty, devotion etc..And they give a fig about character consistency..They lost the plot right from the time Ishwari started with her choola drama..All the subtlety flew out of the window right then and we have never ending drama with Dev, Sonakshi and Ishwari crying buckets in every single episode 😆 Please forgive me if i don't really care for any of them at this point 😆

I disagree. Sona is perfectly in character. She wanted to be Dev's choice. She wanted Dev to choose her in spite of his mother. She didn't want to be his mother's choice.

When his mother said no, he threw out Sona and in spite of her pleading didn't relent.

Now his mother said yes and he went to Sona as if her and her family haven't faced any insult or pain due to his.

Sona was absolutely right to refuse him. She is not a toy to pick or discard at his mother's whim. If he wants to dance to his mummy's tune, he should not expect a life partner to put up with this.

Awesome post😆😆😆
my fav dialogue "main apko recap batati hu"😆😆😆

"kaunse brand ka love hain"

One of the reason she was blasting dev because of her family disappointment towards her.

After letting down her family I guess she has learnt her lesson that is never take your awesome family granted..

Well, if you want to call a spade a spade then why not call Dev a mummy's boy and spineless puppet?

Sona has always been on her limit. When she agreed on Dev's insistence to invite him to her engagement, I blamed her.

When you say that she didn't accept her faults, did you see when she was willing to take all blame on her head for running to Dev and for causing pain to both Ritwik, his family and her family and listen to their scold and insult with her head down? She didn't blame anyone else then.

But Dev did try to break up her engagement, that's a truth.

He did stalk her after breaking up, that's truth.

He did get drunk at her engagement even after promising her that he will forget her as a last promise and move on.

So should we both agree to call him a lier and a deceiver as well?

Or is honesty doesn't apply to heroes?
