i am not qouting now as its getting a loong thread 😆 ..
so that is my point too, she came back at Dev only when he came all sorted and happy, earlier she was running behind him, thus i didnt find her speech today as self respecting, instead it was hollow for me.

As @rogerrocks said, its sloppy writing, just to increase the drama quotient they created a mess of everything, and now this final scene before they shove marriage down Dev and Sona so nobody can blame them for not showing feminism.

But as i said, lets agree to disagree 😊

Tbh, i don't even think we should blame the writers here..Its the norm of Indian TV..Everything happens as a plot device/ to propel drama after a point..This other show on Sony has virtually butchered the concept of 'self-respect' in the name of showing a progressive woman so am not exactly surprised..Love, self-respect, dignity, sacrifice, separation, patch-up- everything is used as per convenience after a point 😆

P.S. You gotta listen to the new song (second one) of ADHM..It has gorgeous lyrics..Random but i think we had a discussion on the song at some point so i had to mention it here 😆

It's doesn't matter to me how you respond to others .I am only concerned about how you responded to my post .If you were open to healthy discussion you would have argued on the points I had mentioned in my post instead of saying things like "doesn't it apply to heros..."

Did I question your analysis or did I say you were biased .I just picked up one point in your post where I had different views .

Nowhere in my post did call you a fan girl, you did.

Indirectly you mentioned that. What does heroes line had to do with the discussion we were having ???

I have written posts criticising both characters. But I write post on honesty and equality regardless whether I am talking about a man or a woman.

Let me be honest .Yes, I have appreciated some of your post but sometime we think we are being fair to both the characters and others might not feel the same .For you I am biased towards the Hero but according to me I have critized the male lead and female lead wherever I felt they were wrong .

You were willing to call a spade a spade, then why did it offend you when I called Dev exactly how we'd call any man behaving like that in society?

If you are not willing to listen cold hard facts about the hero, then you are right. May be my posts are not suitable for you. Good luck.

How could you conclude that I am not ready to listen to facts ??I can respond to all your points and justify why I disagree with you on certain points but it was not your post which disappointed me but the way you responded to the post had lot of hidden messages which did not go well with me .

I usually don't respond to all threads unless I feel the other person is open for discussion .I would not have responded to yours if I had considered yours as one of the bashing threads/hate threads but my initial judgement was wrong .You are correct this is not the right place for me

P.S.If your planning to respond then please remove the previous quote as it getting too long.I am unable to do so

At the end of the day it was Sonakshi decision to send him a invite ...even after the newspaper fiasco she sent him the invite .If she really cared about her fiance and her family she would not have sent it .After the office scene Dev never contacted her and would have stayed away from her if she had not invited him.

OK let's assume for a minute that she had best interest in mind when she sent the invite but gal did your engagement break because of Dev''s drama or because you could not control your emotions .Did Dev ask her to come running to her and take him home by leaving everything? She could have asked someone to take care of him or worse she could have called his family .Ritwick would have supported her if she hadn't left the venue .

I am surprised to see she still regrets not getting engaged to Ritwick .I thought she learnt the hard way that rebound is not the solution to her problems .

This i's something I dislike about Sonakshi ..she doesn't realise her mistake instead blames the other person completely. Even during phone incident she was mad at Dev for breaking the phone but never realized that she crossed her limit by silencing his phone .Similarly during Nikki case she as mad at Dev for blaming her but she did not realise that it was her who convinced him without knowing what Nikki was planning to do .Even today she put the entire blame on him .

I belive in calling spade a spade and this might not go well with everyone

Agree to your point here that Sona was at fault for breaking her own engagement. Dev drank n passed out. Dev was wrong, he did create a scene but It was Sona who left Ritwick n ran to help Dev. If she wanted to continue with the engagement, she could have done it. Dev broke his promise of not controlling his actions, but Sona broke her own engagement which resulted in her family's insults. Now Sona can't blame Dev alone...he never asked her to drop him home...but she did it bcoz she still loved him and can't see him suffering. It was exactly similar to the breakup scene when Dev blamed their relationship for Ish's condition n here Sona blamed Dev for breaking her engagement.

Sona shud have blamed their relationship, that bcoz she loved him her family had to go thru so much humiliation.

The phone scene Sona did admit her mistake n the second one it was Nikki's fault, she lied to both Sona n Dev.

Dev is mummy ka beta.
if his mother signals him to leave Sona after marriage, he will leave her then too!
then?
Sona did the right thing! 👏 but yet she's not right :p

Dev can't be trusted! He will do what his mata ji says! so dumb & stupid!
mata ji ne kaha..Sona ko chor diya..mata ji ne kaha Sona ko bahu bana liya!!
waah re waah!! spineless dumb man he is!! -_-
he deserves to live under his mata ji's pallu alone!
But Sona is not dudh ka dhula! She was expecting Dev to come all the time! She is equally responsible for whatever is happening & the humilliation that Her family is bearing..-_-

Great post as always
My gripe in all this is the very sloppy writing and execution that leaves the viewers ..atleast some of us not rooting for the leads

Dev..still doing his MA chant..how can any self respecting woman marry him?

Sona..roared today asked all the right questions but failed when she ran out of her engagement not thinking about what hurt that would cause her loved ones and Ritwik who for no fault of his was caught in between...but still as a self respecting woman applause to her for asking Dev all the right questions...but is it a bit too late?

Easwari..cannot connect with her characterization...what is she?..a possessive mother, insecure mother, loving mother, psychotic mother...

In all this viewers have been taken for a ride because the writers are delusional as to what we want and for sloppy execution of a script.

Sorry for the rant
