Part 6

Siddhi and Khushi reached Delhi after a long train journey. The organizers had arranged their stay at a luxury hotel.

Khushi looked around the spacious room in awe.
Khushi: Siddhi, can you believe it? We are living in such a big hotel, just like celebrities!

Siddhi smiled faintly.
Siddhi: Yes, but remember, Khushi… we are here to work hard. Winning this contest means everything, not just for us, but for our families too.

Khushi: Don’t worry. With your magical hands and my ideas, we can win this.

The next morning, the contestants assembled in a grand banquet hall decorated with lights and stalls. The judges entered with great pomp.

Judge 1: Welcome, contestants. Your first challenge is to prepare an innovative fusion dessert with chocolate as the base ingredient.
Judge 2: You have three hours. Surprise us. Only the best will go to Singapore for the final.

Siddhi took a deep breath.
Siddhi: Khushi, shall we try our signature fusions?

Khushi: Yes.Chocolate Mysore Pak and Chocolate Rasmalai Tart. We’ll show them how Indianmithai can win hearts internationally.

Both got to work. Siddhi carefully melted dark chocolate while Khushi ground cardamom and saffron. The aroma of ghee and cocoa filled the hall. Other contestants watched curiously.

Contestant 1: Whomixes Rasmalai with chocolate? This will flop.
Contestant 2: Let them waste their time.

But Siddhi was calm, her hands moving with confidence. She decorated the tart with rose petals and pistachios, while Khushi drizzled chocolate syrup in perfect swirls.

Finally, the judges came to taste.

Judge 1 (tasting the Mysore Pak): Unbelievable! Traditional yet so modern. Soft texture, rich flavor, melts in the mouth.

Judge 2 (biting into the Rasmalai Tart): This is art. Who would have thought chocolate and Rasmalai could marry so beautifully?

The audience clapped. Khushi hugged Siddhi.
Khushi: We did it! Your magic worked again.

Siddhi: No, Khushi. This is our teamwork.

Meanwhile, in Indore, at Pande House, Sandhya paced restlessly.
Sandhya: Vinayak, will this sweet business really save us?

Vinayak: Maa, have faith. Siddhi’s creations are winning hearts. If she and Khushi win this competition, SK Sweets will become a brand name. Investors will trust us again.

Sandhya: But what about Maya? She is growing impatient.

Just then, Maya barged in angrily.
Maya: Vinayak! Are you still running after these silly sweets? You were supposed to marry me, give me the life I deserve, not sit around waiting for some small-town girl’s biscuits to save you.

Vinayak tried to calm her.
Vinayak: Maya, please understand. I love you, but right now, our family needs stability. Without that, what future can we have?

Maya: Future? Or are you secretly impressed by that Siddhi?

Vinayak: Maya! Don’t talk nonsense. She is a talented girl who helps us in business.

Maya stormed out, while Giriraj and Chitra exchanged evil smiles, seeing the tension.

Back in Delhi, the results were announced.

Announcer: The team selected to represent India in Singapore is… SK Sweets – Siddhi and Khushi!

The hall echoed with applause. Siddhi’s eyes filled with tears as she folded her hands in gratitude.

Khushi: We did it, Siddhi! We are going international!

At that moment, Siddhi noticed Vinayak standing at the entrance, watching her with pride.

Siddhi, surprised: Aapyahan?

Vinayak walked toward her slowly.
Vinayak: I came to support you. Maybe you don’t realize this, Siddhi, but your sweets are not just reviving my business. They are reviving my hope. Today, I feel proud of you.

Siddhi looked at him in shock, her heart skipping a beat. Khushi smiled knowingly, sensing something brewing.

The background music played softly as Vinayak and Siddhi shared a long, unspoken eyelock, filled with respect, admiration… and something more.

Meanwhile, in Mumbai, Yeshwant Rao smirked in his study.
Yeshwant Rao: So, this Siddhi girl is becoming a star? If Vinayak’s company rises again because of her, my plan will fail. No… I cannot let that happen. I must stop her before she becomes a threat to me and Maya’s future.

He called one of his men.
Yeshwant Rao: Keep an eye on Siddhi. Do whatever it takes to make her lose in Singapore.

The announcement of Siddhi and Khushi’s victory spread like wildfire. Media outlets praised the“two small-town girls who redefined chocolate.”

Reporter: SK Sweets from Indore will now represent India in the World Chocolate Fusion Contest in Singapore!

Avinash and Indu cried tears of joy at home.
Indu: Our Siddhi will make India proud. One day, the whole world will know her worth.

Avinash: Yes, and those who rejected her for her color will bow before her talent.

Reema: And JijuVivaan and I will be her biggest cheerleaders!

She giggled, blushing as Vivaan looked at her.

Meanwhile, in Singapore, the stage was set at Marina Bay Sands. Contestants from 20 countries arrived with their exotic ingredients. Siddhi and Khushi looked around in awe at the grandeur.

Khushi: Siddhi, my hands are trembling. Look at their confidence.

Siddhi held her hand firmly.
Siddhi: Don’t be scared. Remember, our strength is simplicity within innovation. We aren’t here to copy, but to create.

Just then, Arnav and Vinayak arrived. Arnav hugged Khushi while Vinayak’s eyes searched for Siddhi.

Vinayak: Best of luck, Siddhi. Remember, no matter what happens, I’m standing with you.

Siddhi was stunned but managed a soft smile.

At the hotel, YeshwantRao’s men secretly followed Siddhi. One of them bribed the organizers and mixed salt instead of sugar in their ingredient box.

Khushi, opening the box: Siddhi! Something is wrong. The sugar has turned salty!

Panic spread across her face. Siddhi closed her eyes for a moment, recalling her father’s words.
Avinash’s voice echoed in her mind: A true cook never fears problems. She creates solutions.

Siddhi: Khushi, we can still fix this. Let’s use jaggery instead. It’s healthier, and no one will expect this twist.

Khushi: Jaggery in an international contest?

Siddhi: Trust me.

The round began. Contestants from France created chocolate éclairs with lavender. Japan presented matcha truffles, while Mexico showcased chili chocolate bites.

Siddhi and Khushi presented Dark Chocolate Jaggery Modaks with Almond Crunch and Rose-Cardamom Hot Chocolate Shots.

Judges were skeptical at first.
Judge 1: Jaggery? Isn’t that too raw?

But one bite silenced them.
Judge 2: Heavenly. Rich, earthy sweetness balanced with chocolate's bitterness. Truly unique!

This is the future of fusion desserts — healthy, innovative, and unforgettable.

The audience erupted in applause.

Vinayak’s eyes gleamed with pride. He whispered: That’s my Siddhi…

Backstage, Khushi hugged Arnav.
Khushi: If Siddhi weren’t here, I would have broken down. She’s the real hero today.

Arnav: And you are her perfect partner. Together, you are unstoppable.

Vinayak approached Siddhi.
Vinayak: You proved again that no one can defeat you. You turned a trap into a triumph.

Siddhi: It wasn’t just me alone. It was teamwork.

Their eyes locked, a silent warmth passing between them.

Meanwhile, Maya fumed in her hotel suite.
Maya: Papa, your plan failed! That dark girl still managed to win.

Yeshwant Rao: Don’t worry, beta. This was only the first round. We’ll strike harder before the finale.

Maya: I can’t stand seeing Vinayak admire her. He belongs to me, not that bakery girl.

She threw the flower vase in anger, determination flashing in her eyes.

Later that night, Siddhi sat on the balcony of her hotel room, looking at the Singapore skyline. Vinayak came quietly and placed a cup of coffee beside her.

Vinayak: For the champion.

Siddhi: I’m not a champion yet.

Vinayak: You already are. For me, you’ve won much more than a contest. You’ve won my respect… and something more I can’t even name right now.

Siddhi turned to look at him, her heart racing, though she remained silent.

The camera panned out to the glittering skyline, foreshadowing the storm that awaited them in the finals.

The Marina began. Cameras flashed, chefs from across the world brought their finest creations — from Belgian pralines to Swiss chocolate sculptures. Bay Ballroom glittered with lights as the World Chocolate Fusion Contest Grand Finale.

Host: Ladies and gentlemen, tonight the world will witness the champions of chocolate!

Khushi whispered nervously: Siddhi, this is the moment. What if we fail?

Siddhi held her hand: We didn’t come this far to stop here. We’ll create something that embodies the soul of India.

Arnav and Vinayak watched from the VIP gallery, silently cheering for their girls.

Sabotage Strikes Again

As Siddhi and Khushi prepared their ingredients, one of Yeshwant Rao’s men crept into their counter. He slipped a vial of bitter chemical into their chocolate sauce, smirking.

Minutes later, Khushi tasted the sauce and almost spat it out.
Khushi: Siddhi! Something’s wrong — it’s unbearably bitter!

Siddhi’s face paled. The judges’ inspection round was just ten minutes away.

Khushi: This is the end. We’ll be disqualified.

But Siddhi took a deep breath. No, this is the beginning. If chocolate has turned bitter, we’ll turn that bitterness into beauty.

She quickly crushed fresh mint, mixed it with honey and jaggery, and balanced the bitterness by Ayurveda’s balance of health and taste. Then she sculpted “Chocolate Tulsi Blossoms with Mint-Honey Drizzle” — a dish inspired by her creativity.

Khushi followed her lead and created “Spiced Dark Chocolate Laddoos with Saffron Mist.”

The Judgement

The judges arrived. One of them frowned: We heard complaints of tampering. Let’s see if you’ve managed.

They tasted Siddhi’s dish. Silence filled the hall. Then — applause erupted.

Judge 1: Remarkable! The bitterness has been transformed into a refreshing aftertaste. Brilliant improvisation!

This is not just cooking. This is art under fire.

Judge 3: SK Sweets represents resilience. This is the spirit of true champions.

The crowd cheered. Arnav lifted Khushi in a hug, while Vinayak’s eyes glistened with pride as he looked at Siddhi.

Truth Comes Out

Suddenly, one of the kitchen assistants rushed forward, trembling.
Assistant: Sir, I… I can’t hide it anymore. I was bribed to spoil their sweets!

Host: Who bribed you?

The assistant pointed a shaking finger toward Maya, who sat in the front row with Yeshwant Rao.

Gasps spread through the audience. Reporters’ cameras zoomed in.

Maya stood up in shock: This is a lie! I would never—

But the CCTV footage was replayed on the big screen, showing her man tampering with Siddhi’s counter.

The hall echoed withboos.

Judge 2: Cheating at this level is unforgivable. Security, escort them out.

Yeshwant Rao tried to protest, but security guards dragged him out, while Maya covered her face in humiliation.

Vinayak clenched his fists, glaring at Maya with burning eyes. So this is your true face…

Victory Crowned

Host: And now… the winners of the World Chocolate Fusion Contest are…

SK Sweets — Siddhi and Khushi from India!

The crowd roared. Confetti rained down. Siddhi and Khushi held the golden trophy together, tears streaming down their faces.

Khushi: Siddhi, we did it!

Siddhi whispered: No, Khushi… we didn’t do it. Truth did.

Vinayak walked onto the stage and stood beside Siddhi, his voice filled with pride.
Vinayak: The world finally knows what I already knew — your worth is priceless.

Arnav placed a protective arm around Khushi. And this is just the beginning. SK Sweets will shine across the globe.

The camera froze on Siddhi holding the trophy, Vinayak gazing at her with unspoken love, while Mayafumed in the shadows, vowing revenge.

Part 7

The Pande mansion was in gloom after the lenders’ harsh visit. Their words still echoed like a curse in the grand hall.

Lender (earlier, angrily): “We want our money! If the loan is not repaid in 30 days, your house will be sealed, and your family thrown onto the streets.”

Geetanjali Devi (with folded hands): “Please… give us some time. My son has not run away. He will return, and we will repay every penny.”

Lender (mocking): “Time? You rich people think your name will pay the debts? No. Either return the money, or prepare to lose everything.”

They stormed out, leaving Sandhya trembling, Aditi in tears, and Vinayak burning with helpless rage.

That night, in her room, Sandhya sat with Vinayak.

Vinayak (anguished): “Mom, why is fate punishing us? I have tried everything, but the losses are too great. Investors have backed out, and lenders won’t leave us in peace till we pay the last pie.”

Sandhya (slowly, heart heavy): “Maybe… the answer isn’t in business alone. Maybe the answer is Siddhi.”

Vinayak looked up, startled.

Vinayak: “Siddhi? You mean…?”

Sandhya (hesitant, then firm): “Yes. Geetanjali Devi believes she is the right life partner for you. And I… I cannot deny her wisdom. Siddhi’s sweets have a magic that no one else can replicate. If she becomes part of this family, her talent can save us. Marry her, Vinayak.”

Vinayak was stunned into silence.

Vinayak: “But, Ma…what about Maya?”

Sandhya turned her face away, her voice soft but cold.

Sandhya: “I like Maya. I always wanted her as my daughter-in-law. But look at our state. Can Maya save us? Can her father help us after publicly humiliating us? No. Siddhi can. Still…” [she sighed] “…this is not out of love for her. It is out of compulsion. Once the business recovers, if you feel trapped, you can part ways. I will even ensure Siddhi gets a respectable alimony. But for now—our survival comes first.”

Vinayak lowered his head, torn between his mother’s pragmatism and his heart’s loyalty to Maya.

Meanwhile, in the Bhosle mansion, Maya faced her own storm. Yashwant Rao summoned her to his study.

Yashwant Rao(sternly): “Maya, sit. We need to settle this once and for all.”

Maya (defiant): “Papa, don’t ask me to leave Vinayak. I love him. I will marry only him.”

Yashwant Rao (with a bitter laugh): “Love? What has love given him? Bankruptcy? Shame? A missing father? He cannot even protect his family from lenders. Do you wish to share his misery? You were born to be a queen, Maya, not a beggar’s wife.”

Maya (tearful, but firm): “I don’t care about wealth! Vinayak is not his father. He will rise again, and I’ll stand with him.”

Yashwant Rao (slamming his glass): “Rise? He is drowning, and you’ll drown with him. Love won’t pay bills. Love won’t silence society when they laugh at you. Do you want to spend your life in a kitchen making sweets like that girl Siddhi?”

Maya (softly, clutching Vinayak’s necklace): “If that’s what it takes to be with him, yes.”

Yashwant Rao(furious): “Enough! If you choose him, you lose me. Choose, Maya—your family, or your love.”

Maya froze, the words slicing through her. She remembered Sandhya’s earlier question, too: “If your family were in this position, would you choose your love or them?”

Her tears fell silently. That night, she packed her bags.

Before leaving, she whispered to her reflection in the mirror:

Maya (to herself): “I love you, Vinayak… but if I stay, I’ll only add to your burden. Maybe distance is the only way I can protect our love.”

With that, Maya disappeared into the night, taking up a small job in another city to stand on her own feet.

Back at the Pande Mansion, Geetanjali Devi called Sandhya aside.

Geetanjali Devi: “Sandhya, listen to me. It’s not just about survival now. From the day I saw Siddhi in the temple, I felt she was destined to be Vinayak’s wife. I stayed silent out of respect for your wish to see Maya as our bahu. But look where we are now. Siddhi is not just a solution—she is the answer.”

Sandhya (reluctantly, with a forced smile): “Maybe you’re right, Mataji. But don’t mistake me—I still don’t see her as Vinayak’s wife from my heart. This marriage, if it happens, will only be out of necessity. Not desire.”

Geetanjali Devi placed a firm hand on her shoulder.

Geetanjali Devi: “Sometimes, destiny chooses differently than we do. You’ll see, Sandhya. One day, you’ll thank God for sending Siddhi into this house.

Sandhya looked away, her heart unsettled, caught between pride, pragmatism, and a growing storm of fate.

The next morning at the Pande mansion, an unusual silence hung heavy. It was only when Aditi went looking that Maya’s absence was noticed. Her apartment was locked, her phones switched off, and even her closest friends had no idea where she had gone.

Vinayak stormed into his room, pacing like a caged lion. His hands pulled at his hair as he muttered under his breath.

Vinayak (voicebreaking):
“Maya, how could you leave without a word? After everything we’ve been through? How could you?”

Sandhya entered, her face calm but her eyes sharp.

Sandhya: Enough of this madness, Vinayak. Maya is gone. If she truly loved you, she would have stayed and fought beside you. But she chose to leave. That should be enough proof.”

Vinayak (furious): No, Mom! Please don’t speak about her like that. She loved me… I know she did. Maybe she was forced. Maybe her father…”

At that moment, Geetanjali Devi walked in, her voice firm and cutting through his despair.

Geetanjali Devi:
“Whether she left by force or by choice, the truth remains: she is gone. And your family is still in ruins. Do you want to drown with her memory, or will you rise for those who depend on you?”

Vinayak’s eyes filled with helpless tears. He sank to the floor, whispering Maya’s name, his shoulders trembling.

Later, Sandhya and Geetanjali Devi sat together in the prayer room. The diya flickered between them.

Sandhya (hesitant): Mataji, I still feel uneasy. Forcing Vinayak into another marriage while his heart bleeds for Maya… is it right?”

Geetanjali Devi (calm but assertive):
“This is not about force. This is about destiny. Siddhi was always meant to be his wife. You were blinded by status, Sandhya. But now God has removed Maya from his path. Siddhi is the only one who can save Vinayak—from ruin and from himself.”

Sandhya lowered her eyes, silently absorbing the weight of those words.

That evening, the Pande family—Sandhya and Vinayak arrived at Narayan House. Indu opened the door, surprised at the grand sight.

Indu (polite): “Namaste…please come in.”

Avinash soon joined, looking slightly confused.

Avinash: “What an honor, but… to what do we owe this visit?”

Geetanjali Devi smiled warmly, her eyes steady.

Geetanjali Devi: “We have come with a proposal. We want Siddhi to become our daughter-in-law.”

The words stunned the Narayan family. Indu gasped, and Siddhi—carrying a tray of tea and sweets—froze in mid-step.

Avinash (taken aback): “But… this is sudden. You mean, Siddhi… and Vinayak?”

Sandhya leaned forward, her voice filled with assertion and uncompromised warmth.

Sandhya:
“Yes. We believe Siddhi’s talent, her strength, and her character will be the foundation of rebuilding our family.”

Indu’s eyes grew uncertain.

Indu: We have faced so many rejections for Siddhi because of her complexion. And now… such a powerful family is asking for her hand? Forgive me, but is this truly about accepting Siddhi—or about her sweets?”

Vinayak stiffened at the sharpness of the question, but before he could respond, Sandhya smiled gently.

Sandhya: Indu ji, you’ve raised a daughter of rare grace. People may have rejected her because of color, but let me tell you—dusky women carry a beauty all their own. Look at Nandita Das, Naomi Campbell… admired for their confidence, their aura. Even in our own scriptures, Krishna himself was dark-complexioned, yet worshipped as the most enchanting.”

She paused and looked at Siddhi.

Sandhya (softly): Fairskin fades, youth fades—but a good heart never fades. Siddhi’s kindness, her simplicity, her respect for elders… these are jewels that time cannot steal. Her sweets are a blessing, yes, but it is her nature that has won our hearts. Isn’t that true, Vinayak?”

All eyes turned to Vinayak. He swallowed hard, Maya’s memory still tugging at him, but his mother’s words echoed in his ears.

Vinayak (after a pause): “Uncle… Aunty… I was blind before. I judged without knowing, and even hurt Siddhi unintentionally. But today, I see differently. She deserves respect and happiness. If she is willing, I would be honored to make her a part of my life. Siddhiis special. She deserves a home where she will be respected.”

Siddhi’s fingers tightened around the tray, her face a mix of disbelief and confusion.

Avinash’s expression softened, though caution lingered.

Avinash (serious but calm):
“Vinayak ji, your words honor us. But marriage is not a decision to be taken in haste. Siddhi’s life cannot be decided in a single meeting or made in hasty decisions. We must think carefully, as it is a question of our daughter’s life. Please give us some time.”

Sandhya added with a gentle smile and a nod.

Geetanjali Devi: Of course. Pray to God, think carefully. But know this—Siddhi’s worth is beyond appearances. We see her as a blessing, not a burden. You are absolutely right. We did not come to press you, only to share our hearts. Please take your time. Whatever your decision, we will accept it with respect. We will wait patiently. Whatever your decision, it will be respected.

The Narayan family exchanged uncertain glances, the weight of the proposal heavy in the air.

That night, in her room, Siddhi sat in silence, staring at the stars. Reema bounced onto the bed beside her, excitement bubbling.

Reema: “Didi! Did you hear? Vinayak himself spoke for you. You’re going to be his wife!”

Siddhi’s lips curved into a faint smile, but her eyes glistened.

Siddhi (softly):
“But Reema, why now? After so many rejections, after so much humiliation, why would they suddenly want me? Is it truly for me… or for what my hands can make?”

Reema held her sister’s hand tightly.

Reema:
“Does it matter? Maybe this is your chance at happiness.”

Siddhi (whispering):
“Or maybe… It’s another way of using me.”

She hugged Reema, hiding her tears, torn between hope and fear.

Back at the Pandemansion, Vinayak lay awake. Maya’s face haunted him, but Siddhi’s quiet dignity replayed in his mind—the way she stood silently, the calm strength in her eyes.

Vinayak (to himself):
“Am I betraying Maya… or am I betraying myself by refusing Siddhi? Maybe fate is dragging me where I never thought I’d go…”

The storm of destiny had begun, and neither Vinayak nor Siddhi knew how deeply it would bind them together.

Scene 2: Back at Pande Mansion

Later that evening, the family began to discuss.

Geetanjali Devi(hopeful):
I hope they agree.

Sandhya (measured): It's uncertain, and rightly so. Anyway, I told them we accept Siddhi as she is. That's what they wanted to hear.”

Geetanjali Devi:

Whether you accept it or not, that girl was born to be our bahu. She will bring light into this house, mark my words.”

Sandhya forced a smile, her heart hiding its storm.

Sandhya (to herself, later in her room):

“This was not the match I dreamt of for Vinayak. I wanted a daughter-in-law of wealth and status… someone like Maya. But fate has left me with no choice. Fornow, I must play along. Perhaps destiny will take another turn later.”

Scene 3: Vinayak’sConflict

In his room, Vinayaksat sat by the window, the night breeze brushing past him. Maya’s laughter haunted his ears, but Siddhi’s quiet dignity at the meeting kept flashing before his eyes.

Vinayak(whispering): Maya’s love…Siddhi’s strength… What do I do? If I choose Siddhi, I would betray Maya. On the other hand, if I decide to go with Maya, I would be going against my family in this crunch situation.

He pressed his palms together, his heart caught between duty and desire, love and survival.

The battle within him had only just begun.

Part 8

Scene 1: At NarayanHouse

The living room was quiet, the air thick with the weight of the proposal. Avinash sat with Indu while Siddhi remained inside her room.

Indu (worried):
“Avinash ji… this is not a small decision. Siddhi has already suffered so much rejection. If this marriage is not based on truth, she will be broken forever.”

Avinash (serious):
“You are right. We cannot let her walk into a life of compromise. We must be sure of Vinayak’s intentions. The Pandes may be in crisis, but our daughter's happiness cannot be a stepping stone for their survival.”

Indu nodded, her eyes moist.

Scene 2: At Pande Mansion

Sandhya and Geetanjali Devi sat with Vinayak in the family lounge.

Sandhya (measured, but firm): Vinayak, the Narayans are good people. They won’t say yes until they are convinced. And honestly, they are right. We must give Siddhi clarity. This marriage should not feel like charity or a bargain.”

Geetanjali Devi(adding): Yes. It is time you spoke to Siddhi directly, not as a son, not as a businessman — but as a man who wants her in his life. Vinayak, though nervous, nodded slowly.

Scene 3: The Private Meeting

Arrangements were made the following evening for Vinayak and Siddhi to meet at the Narayan family's garden, away from everyone else.

Siddhi stood under the mango tree, her dupatta fluttering in the breeze. Her heart thudded as Vinayak approached, his eyes searching hers.

Siddhi (quiet but firm): Before anything goes further… I need answers. Are you marrying me because you love me… or because of my sweets? And what about your girlfriend, Maya? I don’t want to come between you and her. I will never be the reason someone else’s home breaks.”

Vinayak’s eyes softened with pain, but also with determination.

Vinayak (gently): Siddhi… I once thought Maya was a diamond. But she turned out to be a stone. The real diamond… is you.”

Siddhi looked startled, her lips parting in surprise.

Vinayak(continuing, his voice thick with emotion): Do you remember the Singapore competition? You didn’t know it then, but Maya and her father sabotaged your food preparation. Yet you didn’t give up. With your presence of mind, you saved everything — and emerged victorious. That day, I realized how strong you are. That strength… I never saw it in Maya.”

He took a step closer, his voice lowering with sincerity.

Vinayak: We are in trouble, Siddhi. Our family has suffered huge losses. And in that moment, when I needed her the most, Maya left the city without uttering a word. But you… You aren’t greedy, you aren’t weak. You are the one person who can hold me steady. Somewhere in all this, my feelings changed. Siddhi, I love you. Truly, deeply.”

Siddhi’s breath caught. She searched his eyes for a trace of doubt or hesitation, but all she saw was raw honesty.

Siddhi (softly, tears glistening): If you are marrying me out of love, Vinayak… I have no issues. But if this is just for convenience… I cannot do it.

Vinayak (with conviction): It is love, Siddhi. Nothing else.”

Vinayak Ne Bulaya Siddhi Ko Apne Paas | Do Chutki Sindoor | Best Scene | Nazara TV

For a moment, silence stretched between them — until Siddhi’s lips curved into a trembling smile.

Scene 4: The Good News

Both returned inside, faces glowing with quiet happiness.

Avinash and Indu immediately noticed the change.

Indu (nervous): Siddhi…?

Siddhi looked at her parents, then at Vinayak, and finally nodded.

Siddhi (softly): Yes… I am ready.

Avinash’s eyes filled with tears of relief.

Meanwhile, at the Pande mansion, Sandhya and Geetanjali Devi waited anxiously. When Vinayak walked in with a faint smile, Sandhya immediately asked—

Sandhya (hopeful): Did she agree?

Vinayak (with quiet certainty): Yes, Ma. Siddhi said yes.

Geetanjali Deviclasped her hands together, whispering a prayer of gratitude.

Geetanjali Devi: Finally … our house will see light again.

Sandhya smiled faintly, though a flicker of conflict remained hidden in her eyes.

But for Vinayak and Siddhi, the storm of doubt had begun to calm — replaced by the first rays of something new, fragile, and beautiful: hope.

Scene 5: Pande Mansion – Morning Preparations

The Pande Mansion was alive with the hum of workers. Fresh flowers draped the staircase, jewelers laid out velvet boxes of sparkling engagement rings, and decorators rushed in and out with fabrics of red and gold.

Geetanjali Devi moved among them, her commanding presence ensuring everything was perfect.

Geetanjali Devi(smiling with satisfaction):
“At last, this house will hear laughter again. Siddhi will bring prosperity and peace. I can already feel the air changing.”

Sandhya stood nearby, hands folded, her lips curving into a faint smile. But her eyes betrayed unease.

Sandhya (to herself):
“Prosperity, yes… but at what cost? Is Siddhi truly meant for this house, or are we forcing a destiny she never asked for? Vinayak… are you ready for this step?”

Scene 6: SocietyWhispers

By noon, neighbors and society women began arriving with trays of sweets and hollow smiles. Their polite words hid venom.

Two women lingered in a corner, speaking in hushed tones that carried deliberately.

Lady 1 (mockingwhisper):
“Such a wealthy family… and the heir is marrying that dark-complexioned, sweet-seller? These are strange times indeed.”

Lady 2(snickering):
“Maybe her sweets are sweeter than her looks. Otherwise, what else does she have to offer?”

Siddhi entered just then with a tray of tea. Her steps faltered. The words pierced her like knives. She lowered her head, her fingers trembling against the tray.

Before she could retreat, Geetanjali Devi stepped into the hall, her sharp ears catching every word.

Geetanjali Devi(cold, commanding):
“Enough! Her skin does not measure a woman’s worth, but by her soul. Siddhi has more strength and dignity than both of you put together. If you cannot bless her, do not dare to curse her.”

The ladies turned red, muttered apologies, and slipped out quickly.

Siddhi’s eyes filled with tears of gratitude.

Siddhi (softly):
“Daadi ji…”

Geetanjali Devi(taking her hand):
“Never bow your head, child. You are not less than anyone. Remember — this family stands with you.”

Siddhi nodded faintly, her heart heavy but touched.

Scene 7: NarayanHouse – Siddhi’s Turmoil

That evening, at her own home, Siddhi sat in silence before the mirror. The engagement dress lay carefully folded on the bed, its sequins catching the faint light. But Siddhi’s eyes were clouded with worry.

Indu walked in, carrying a glass of milk, and sat beside her daughter.

Indu (gently):
“What is it, beta? Why such silence?”

Siddhi (hesitant, voice low):
“Ma… people will always taunt me for my color. Even today, I heard it again. What if I can never silence them? What if I bring only shame to the Pandes instead of respect?”

Indu cupped her daughter’s face with warm hands.

Indu (firm but loving):
“Let them talk. Their words will fade like dust in the wind. But your goodness, your talent, your strength — these will shine brighter than gold. Trust yourself, Siddhi. And trust Vinayak. He sees you differently now.”

Siddhi leaned against her mother, her heart still restless, but her soul comforted by Indu’s faith.

Scene 8: Maya’s NewPath

Far away, under the glare of cameras and flashing lights, Maya posed gracefully on a runway. The crowd cheered her name, magazines fought for interviews, and posters of her face now adorned half the city.

She had stepped into the modeling world after leaving her family, and in a few months, she became a rising star.

Backstage, however, her eyes carried shadows. And one evening, those shadows deepened when she saw her father waiting in the greenroom.

Maya (coldly):
“What are you doing here, Dad?”

Yashwant Rao(stern, voice low):
“To take you home. Enough of this drama, Maya. Come back.”

Maya (bitterlaugh):
“Home? What should I do when I come there? I lost my love for you all. If I step back into that house, you’ll only force me into another marriage I don’t want.”

Yashwant Rao(firm):
“I told you already to forget Vinayak. Their family is finished. You have no future with him.”

Maya’s eyes flashed; her jaw tightened.

Maya (defiant, voice shaking with emotion):
“No, Dad. You don’t understand. Vinayak was mine, and he still is. They think Siddhi can replace me? Never. I left because you forced me, but I will return on my own terms.”

Yashwant Rao frowned, frustration lacing his voice.

Yashwant Rao:
“And what will you do now?”

Maya’s lips curved into a sly, dangerous smile.

Maya:
“I will make Siddhi doubt herself. I will make her believe Vinayak still belongs to me. When her confidence breaks, their so-called love will collapse. Then, Vinayak will return to me.”

Her eyes gleamed with obsession as she walked past her father, leaving him speechless.

Scene 9: Pande Mansion – Evening Discussion

That night, Vinayaksat sat by the window of his room, staring out at the faint city lights. Sandhya entered quietly, her face etched with concern.

Sandhya (serious, sitting beside him):
“Vinayak… listen to me. Marriage is not just about emotions. You and Siddhi must learn to respect each other. Don’t rush into promises you cannot keep. Show her your love, prove it to her. Only then will this bond survive.”

Vinayak looked down, guilt flickering in his eyes as memories of Maya resurfaced. But he clenched his jaw, pushing them away.

Vinayak (quietly, with resolve):
“I will prove myself, Mom. I won’t let Siddhi feel she is unwanted. Not anymore.”

Scene 10:Engagement Eve – A Shadow Returns

The next evening, as the Narayan household prepared for the engagement, an anonymous envelope slipped under their door.

Siddhi bent down curiously and picked it up. She opened it slowly, her heart thudding.

Inside was a photograph — Vinayak and Maya together, smiling and radiant, their closeness undeniable.

Attached was a note written in neat, feminine handwriting:

“He was mine once. He still is. Do you think you can take my place?”

Siddhi’s face turned pale. The photograph slipped from her trembling hands to the floor.

Her chest tightened, tears threatening to spill.

At that very moment, Vinayak entered with Reema, carrying a box of sweets. His eyes instantly caught Siddhi’s stricken face… and then the photograph at her feet.

He froze, realization dawning.

Vinayak (shocked, under his breath):
“Maya…” The storm had just returned, threatening to shatter everything before it even began.

Scene 12: Pande Mansion – Engagement Preparations

The mansion shimmered with light. Strings of jasmine adorned the entrance, while guests began trickling in with gifts and blessings.

Geetanjali Devi moved through the hall with authority, checking every corner, her face glowing with joy.

Geetanjali Devi(smiling to herself):
“Today, my Vinayak will finally find peace. And this house will welcome its true Lakshmi.”

Meanwhile, Sandhya stood quietly near the staircase, her expression unreadable. After a long pause, she picked up her phone and made a call.

Sandhya (firm, low voice):
“Maya, I know you’re back. Whatever happened in the past… You should come. Attend Vinayak’s engagement. At least face the truth with dignity.”

Scene 13: Garden –Siddhi and Vinayak

Before the ceremony began, Siddhi found Vinayak alone in the garden, adjusting his cufflinks nervously. She approached slowly, her heart heavy.

Siddhi (softly, hesitantly):
“Vinayak… there’s still time. If you want to back out, you can. First love is first love. Maya may have walked away during your tough time, but perhaps she was under pressure. Maybe she didn’t have a choice.”

Vinayak’s eyes widened at her words.

Siddhi (continuing, her voice shaking):
“She might have spoken to me arrogantly before, but I know she loves you. If your heart still belongs to her, don’t chain yourself to me. I don’t want to live as someone’s shadow.”

Vinayak grasped her hands firmly, his voice urgent.

Vinayak(earnestly):
“Siddhi, don’t say that. You’re not a shadow — you’re my light. Maya was never the woman I thought she was. I was blinded, yes, but not anymore. It’s you I love. Only you.”

Scene 3: Maya's Entrance

At that very moment, Maya entered the garden, her heels clicking softly on the stone path. She had overheard Siddhi’s words.

Maya (calm, with a slight smile):
“What are you talking about, Siddhi? You think Vinayak and I were in love?”

Siddhi froze, her eyes darting between Maya and Vinayak.

Maya (shaking her head, with a wistful tone):
“No. We were just friends. We worked together on a college project, nothing more. Vinayak always loved you, Siddhi. You were the one he spoke about even then… though he never admitted it aloud.”

Siddhi blinked in shock, unsure whether to believe her rival’s sudden kindness.

Vinayak (firm, taking Siddhi’s hand in his):
“She’s right, Siddhi. Whatever bond I had with Maya, it was never love. My heart has always been searching for you — even when I didn’t know it.”

For the first time, Siddhi’s guarded expression softened.

Scene 14: Sandhya Watches

From a distance, Sandhya watched the three of them. Her lips pressed into a thin line, suspicion gleaming in her eyes.

Sandhya (to herself):
“Maya’s words sound noble… but I know her better. She doesn’t let go so easily. What game is she playing now?”

Scene 15:Engagement Ceremony

The drums beat loudly as the guests gathered in the main hall. Geetanjali Devi beamed with pride as Siddhi and Vinayak were called forward.

As Vinayak slid the ring onto Siddhi’s finger, Maya clapped politely, her smile perfectly composed.

But as her eyes lingered on the couple, a flicker of something darker crossed her face — a vow hidden beneath her sweet words.

Maya (to herself, silently):
“Let the world believe I’ve stepped aside. But Siddhi, your place in Vinayak’s heart will always be fragile. One crack… and I’ll be there.”

The applause echoed around the mansion, but beneath the sound of celebration, a new game had begun.

Sidhi turned all the disasters into wins. A true winner indeed. Maya can never understand that.
