To my understanding Sonakshi is not giving any free advices, Dev is the one who is soliciting it. If someone ask you for an advice, would you just ignore it or try to furnish it after understanding the situation? And as far as I know she is not paid for giving advices. Ranveer is Neha's choice, so all I can say is if you chose for it, then deal with it too.

In my opinion neither a boy nor a girl should any help from their parents once they are grown up and capable of earning. Taking money from your spouse is still fine. So instead of Neha, if Ranveer would have belonged to rich family and asked his parents gifts for his comfort, it would have been wrong too.

I miss a point here. Does not Neha and Ranveeer have the right to live on their own?Rent a house or something?

In this where is Ranveer's self respect? Neha leaves her parent's house and comforts to be with him. Why cannot he leave his parent's house to be with her?

After all it is a "love marriage" as opposed to "arranged marriage" where in love marriage one has more 'love" and a girl has more "rights' towards her husband.

I disagree... plenty of girls like both Neha and Sona in this world. yes, they have been painted such by CVs cause characters like them exist in this world. the show has flaws but, at least, the characters, in my POV... are more real than any other show I've seen in recent times.

For that matter.. moms like Ishwari exist too. and sons like Dev too... he is sooo much in love with his new love that he has forgotten the bond he shared with mommy. and mommy is just tooo needy to see what her son is feeling.

Neha is not a child but rather is treated as both elder of family and a child. She is constantly praised and acknowledged for her sacrifice. If not for her, Dev wouldn't have been able to be where he is, because Ishawari left the girls in her care so she could work and educate Dev. Neha was sacrificed and she never got the education and opportunities Dev and her her sisters did.

Either way, Neha has a rightful stake in the wealth of the family. Children should be earning themselves, yes. But children also like I said, are given a share of wealth by parents. Not only that, Neha is considered an elder and one who is essential and had a role to play in allowing Dev to be successful. Due to her role, she should have a share of wealth. If the show and Dev wants to say she doesn't. HAVE the GUTS to say it, and stop trying to have it both ways by acknowledging her sacrifices and her role in the family.

Give Neha her share. And then if she blows it, blame her. But otherwise, basically all people are saying is a woman shouldn't bring in her wealth from her family to her marriage apparently, but a woman can bring in the money from her career to her family, ignoring the fact that the career is a result of the family's investment and wealth poured into the education needed for that career.

They don't even need to live on their own. Compromise can be made. They can move to a bigger house instead of moving out themselves, etc etc. Or they can live on their own.

I don't understand why Dev and Shona hide their love from Eswari.And why the hell did Dev not take Eswari to buy saree for her? If he understands his mom so much why the hell did he deny her that one outing that she looked forward to? Real life too this happens. No one takes elders for an outing. To buy them something. Rich earning bahus spend money but buy their own choice of things. They never understand . They never will too.

Cut down Neha to size. Neha who has suffered in life . Neha whose chances were denied for the sake of Dev the boy the apple of his mom's eye.

From a poor girl who suffered now Neha is shown to be the rich spoilt girl to be cut down to size.

and the friendly neighborhood angel Shona ever willing to dispense advice.
