To my understanding Sonakshi is not giving any free advices, Dev is the one who is soliciting it. If someone ask you for an advice, would you just ignore it or try to furnish it after understanding the situation? And as far as I know she is not paid for giving advices. Ranveer is Neha's choice, so all I can say is if you chose for it, then deal with it too.

In my opinion neither a boy nor a girl should any help from their parents once they are grown up and capable of earning. Taking money from your spouse is still fine. So instead of Neha, if Ranveer would have belonged to rich family and asked his parents gifts for his comfort, it would have been wrong too.

Neha should have her own share of the wealth. This is where the show is wrong and tries to maintain a hypocritical double standard.

Parents leave wealth to their children. Rich people leave and set up accounts for their children.

Neha is not a child but rather is treated as both elder of family and a child. She is constantly praised and acknowledged for her sacrifice. If not for her, Dev wouldn't have been able to be where he is, because Ishawari left the girls in her care so she could work and educate Dev. Neha was sacrificed and she never got the education and opportunities Dev and her her sisters did.

Either way, Neha has a rightful stake in the wealth of the family. Children should be earning themselves, yes. But children also like I said, are given a share of wealth by parents. Not only that, Neha is considered an elder and one who is essential and had a role to play in allowing Dev to be successful. Due to her role, she should have a share of wealth. If the show and Dev wants to say she doesn't. HAVE the GUTS to say it, and stop trying to have it both ways by acknowledging her sacrifices and her role in the family.

Give Neha her share. And then if she blows it, blame her. But otherwise, basically all people are saying is a woman shouldn't bring in her wealth from her family to her marriage apparently, but a woman can bring in the money from her career to her family, ignoring the fact that the career is a result of the family's investment and wealth poured into the education needed for that career.

I miss a point here. Does not Neha and Ranveeer have the right to live on their own?Rent a house or something?

In this where is Ranveer's self respect? Neha leaves her parent's house and comforts to be with him. Why cannot he leave his parent's house to be with her?

After all it is a "love marriage" as opposed to "arranged marriage" where in love marriage one has more 'love" and a girl has more "rights' towards her husband.

For that matter.. moms like Ishwari exist too. and sons like Dev too... he is sooo much in love with his new love that he has forgotten the bond he shared with mommy. and mommy is just tooo needy to see what her son is feeling.

They stereotype Neha's character make her out to be so because they want to show the world what spoilt rich girls are like. By cutting them down to size. By the likes of middle class girls like Shona who is the "eptiome" of everything. (according to cvs) no flaws. Speaking in that base bartone but screechy voice in that diction. She is so beautiful (she is) so Dev is so much into her. She is an angel who gives good advice on everything. Neha the spoilt rich brat. who was spoilt all her life with luxuries from her bhaiyya. Now it is poetic justice that she married poor . She chose Ranbeer so she should live poor. Cut off gifts. it creates problems in her married life. Without comforts also there will be problems in her married life. But Shona the angel and Eswari the possessive mother , Neha the spoilt rich sister. The rest of the sisters rich but they are sweet (to Shona I mean.) They have to stereotype to cut Neha down to size to show all the rich spoilt rich girls in the real world that they have to be cut down to size too.

I don't understand why Dev and Shona hide their love from Eswari. And why the hell did Dev not take Eswari to buy saree for her? If he understands his mom so much why the hell did he deny her that one outing that she looked forward to? Real life too this happens. No one takes elders for an outing. To buy them something. Rich earning bahus spend money but buy their own choice of things. They never understand . They never will too.

Cut down Neha to size. Neha who has suffered in life . Neha whose chances were denied for the sake of Dev the boy the apple of his mom's eye.

From a poor girl who suffered now Neha is shown to be the rich spoilt girl to be cut down to size.

and the friendly neighborhood angel Shona ever willing to dispense advice.

agree.. flaw in the story is... Dev has not created any "funds" for his sisters. although, this is not family wealth handed down by parents.. but made by Dev... supported by mom and Neha... that's why he could achieve what he did! CVs should have created this scenario... and that would have led to other issues 😉 but not having a trustfund is a flaw in the story.

Really ? You are not being sarcastic? I thought Neha was spoilt rich girl to be cut down to size by the likes of Shona. She should live poor just because she is a spoilt rich brat. As for arranged and love marriages that was a sarcastic comment by me because of the rubbish shown on tv .

Frankly Ranveer should be more sensitive towards Neha's needs and right to privacy. Yes he should live on his own. but be near his parents.

They don't even need to live on their own. Compromise can be made. They can move to a bigger house instead of moving out themselves, etc etc. Or they can live on their own.
Everyone talks about Neha knew she was marrying Ranveer. Well Ranveer knew he was marrying Neha. It goes both ways.

Legally Neha has no right. She is receiving charity from her bhaiyya. tomorrow he marries Shona his wealth will be Shona's too.

Technically even Eswari has no right on Dev's money.

Does not matter how much sacrifices she made. That does not give her any rights.

Neha and the other sisters just get charity from bhaiyya. that is all . More prudent would be to have educated them well to make them earn well and be proud human beings in their own right.

Not mean Nanaands who demand things from bhaiyya and be mean to bhabhi.

whatever Sona is...meddling or whatever or heroine of the desi soap opera😆
fact remains... Neha is spoilt brat. she wants love, she wants money, she wants to mold her man to suit her needs... noone should do that.. boy or girl.

your point about Dev is right on... nothing to do with Sona's character though. what Dev did was not right for mom/son relationship. why blame the girl for Dev's lack of judgement!

there are all kinds of loser bahus and loser elders (saas)... who use and abuse each other for their selfish reasons.
