Ejaz Khan, the emerging heart-throb of couch potatoes, is about to be bumped out of Kkusum.

Ejaz, who plays Abhay's suave cousing Sohan, is occupying the limelight currently as Anuj Saxena, who plays tormented soul Abhay Kapoor, is scheduled to be out of the country for a while. Saxena, the scion of the Elder Pharma family, is going abroad to further his pharmaceutical interests, say sources. Consequently,

Anuj's reel persona too is being 'sent off abroad' for business purposes' in the serial, and the show will turn its focus on his progeny, Kali and Kumud.

Those in the know will recall that the plot has revolved for a while on tracing Mahi's murderer. Kkusum, now being essayed by Mansi Joshi Roy, has accused Abhay of masterminding the murder as well as the repeated attempts on her own life. Insiders now say that Ejaz, as Sohan, will be killed next month, while trying to fend off another attempt on Kkusum's life.

Narayani Shastri, who as Tashu is expected back in the show by mid December, will take over the negative element, provided thus far by Mahi (Poonam Narula). Poonam, who is on a sabbatical after delivering a baby boy recently, is unlikely to make a quick return to the serial, say sources.

Kkusum's twists and turns continue. The exit of Nausheen and her replacement by Mansi as the lead protagonist has, if insider vibes are to be believed, not gone down too well with viewers. Will the exit of increasingly popular Ejaz help matters?
