Karan: We will have lunch later. I want to buy a gift buddy

Karan: Yes, dad told me to buy a nice gift for mom on Karwa Chauth. You also buy one for your wife
Arjun: Sir, has gone outstation
Karan: Yes today morning to London. He will come tomorrow evening only
Arjun: So you will buy gift for your mom and give to him
Karan: Yes, why?
Arjun puts hand on his shoulders and hugs him closer: Nothing, you are truly a father's son.
Karan smiles.
Karan chooses a nice necklace set for his mom. Arjun is confused. Karan helps him choose a very modern chain and matching earring for his wife. Arjun forgot his walet in office so Karan pays for both.
Arjun: Thanks a lot Karan
Karan: Why buddy?
Arjun: For coming in my life and making me your friend.
Karan: Actually I must thank you for helping me so much with business when my dad is not around to guide me
Arjun: No, I must actually thank you. You have helped me in so many presentations and understanding all complex technology. If I ask my managers or employees they comment at my back "He does not know that also" and laugh behind my back. But you always teach everything and if I do not understand you do not mind repeating 4-5 times till I get a hang of it. I have had many great friends none like you. You understand me perfectly and make me smile and laugh and forget all worries and without saying that too
Karan: That's what friends are for buddy and holds his hand
Arjun: You love your dad very much na
Karan smiles: Very much. And you
Arjun: I also love my dad very much. His happiness is my happiness and his words are Gods commands for me.
Karan smiles: I do not listen to my dad or follow him that much and keep fighting and arguing with him for small things.
Arjun: I thought you and Sir are very very close. It does not look like you fight with him
Karan: I listen to him on some matters. I take my own decisions though I know he may not like them. I definitely do not listen to him that much. But he loves me very much and I too love him the most in this world
Arjun holds his hand: I can understand your feelings since I am also very close to my dad and can do anything for him.
Karan explaining: Not as close as I am to my dad(really forceful) He is my father, guide, philosopher and best friend. But we also disagree and fight and give each other complete freedom to fight and disagree too without my father bossing over me because he is my dad. My dad says be independent and do not be scared to do mistakes and learn from them. If things go wrong he is always there to correct them. But he wants me to fall and learn to get up on my own and not do everything he or anyone says. He is fine with me making independent decisions even if they are wrong or against his wish. He is the best father anyone can ever have...
Arjun smiles and cuts him: OKkk Okkk I accept defeat.You and your father are the closest father-son in this world and your father is the best dad in this world even more than my dad. Happy now please smile.
Karan who was ready to go on arguing his father's case in case Arjun had not accepted defeat smiles triumphantly
Arjun thinking: Karan is very mature more than me on all matters but when it comes to PRS he acts like a 3 year old kid who acts possessive of their parent and thinks their father is invincible and the best. He is truly a father's son.

Scene175 Karan-Arjun lunch conversation
Arjun: What about your mother?
Karan: I am a bit scared of her and so is Gunjan. I usually hide things from her or request my dad to recommend it to her on my behalf.
Arjun laughs
Karan angry: Why? You are not scared of your mom
Arjun: Do not ask. Other than Raj everyone even my dad gets scared of her temper swings
Karan laughs: My dad is not scared of my mom. Indeed when mom scolds or hits me and Gunjan he scolds her. But he is very protective of her like he is about others in family
Arjun: Yes, I have observed. Your mom is very lucky
Karan laughs: Yes she is a typical mother not modern type mummy's, if she is angry on dad or dadaji also she removes her anger by hitting me only- I am her punching bag(winks at Arjun and laughs more). But she loves me very much and always takes care of me and calls me three-four times a day to know whether I had breakfast, lunch, coffee, snacks etc on time no matter which part of the world I am in. And does all the things typical mom's do
Arjun: Like(curious about what typical moms do since his mom has never done anything worthwhile for him ever)
Karan: Like cleaning up my messed up room, cooking and feeding me my favourite dishes, staying up all night and taking care if I am unwell, sitting every evening and listening to my stories of the day all the typical things mom's do for their sons. Hey why are you asking me you have a mom? She does everything that any mom your mom does for you.
Arjun sadly thinking: My mom, forget it. She has never done all this for her own children
Karan: What are you thinking?
Arjun smiles: Nothing, Lucky you. I have observed she calls you when we are having coffee or lunch or evening snacks
Karan looks and says "Mom"
Karan: Hello mom??????????????no I have gone out for lunch?????????????.not alone with Arjun????? no I am having normal food not pizza/burger???????????????..yes in a mall????????????how did you know I am not in office food court?...OH ok????????????I will be careful???????..you do not worry I will take care?????????dad is coming tomorrow evening?????????..did you and dadaji have lunch?...OKkk I will come early and take you to mandir?????...i will come by 5.30pm only???.be ready we will go immediately?????????????.ok bye take care.
Arjun is observing the conversation. He thinks Karan is so lucky his mom calls him so many times to remind him and check if he had food etc on time.
Karan: I had forgotten only, I have to leave office by 4.30pm today
Arjun: Why so early?
Karan: My mom wants to go to temple and wants me and Gunjan to come along
Arjun: Temple
Karan: Yes, for Karwa Chauth evening puja in temple
Arjun: Ok
Arjun: What? You are a unique person start laughing without reason
Karan: No, I was reminded of some jokes chutki told me about the mall siege. You act very serious everywhere but were acting so funny in mall siege
Arjun: Means
Karan: Chutki told me about the weight loss for one kiss joke and starts laughing
Arjun embrassed: Gunjan told you?
Karan: Yes, she tells me everything
Arjun angry: Okkk Okkk. Let her come to meet me next time. I will whack her nicely
Karan serious and staring at Arjun
Arjun nervous and surprised: Hey I was joking, I will not whack her.
Karan smiles and resumes eating
But Arjun had seen in Karan's eyes real anger and a warning to back off when he had told he will whack Gunjan. So much for sisterly love and possessiveness from Karan. Every day he showed one new aspect of his personality. He was not only possessive of PRS he was protective of Gunjan too.
Arjun laughs.
Karan serious and holds Arjun hands: Thanks a lot Arjun, you helped my chutki. If you were not there wonder what would have happened. I will always be ever grateful to you for life. (chokes)Thanks a lot
Arjun: Hey stop thanking me. Gunjan is my friend. She is like my son Raj for me
Karan: Thanks a lot for treating her like your own son. I am ever obliged to you
Arjun: You do not have to. Indeed I love her very much. Please do not embarrass me. I did not do any favour by helping her OK. Lets have food. It is getting cold.
Arjun thinks how close Sisodia family are with such loving parents who love their children despite them being disobedient. He is not so lucky, his father loves him because he is obedient. Wonder what will happen if he seriously disagrees with RPS one day will RPS forgive?
Karan: Eat buddy, what are you thinking
Arjun: Nothing, my dad also loves me (trying to convince himself)
Karan: I am sure he does but
Arjun laughs: Not as much as your dad loves you I know I know(before Karan starts another big lecture on his dad)
