Re-cap : The whole group goes on a fun-filled rafting trip. Robie and Kasturi get to spend some quality time together. Alaana meets with a drowning accident. She gets saved by Ajay and she and Ajay get closer.
PART - 27 : UNEXPECTED ADVENTURE
The next morning brings, renewed energy and spirit to Alaana. 👍🏼 She is ready to put behind the bad experience from the day before and move forward!
This day, the group was going on an excursion tour run by the Camp Panther resort tours. The tour starts at the parking lot at the base of the second mountain, extends around the mountain, and goes up past CS4 to the top of the mountain. The participants are divided into groups and who ever reaches the top of the mountain first, wins a special prize! The challenge in the tour is that there is no pre-set path to reach the top, all groups have to basically find the path to get up there as quickly as possible. Each group is given a set of clues, which when they understand, will show them the path to reach the top! 😛 The trek extends through the thick sal forest with the groups being given walkie-talkies for safety and communication purposes.
When our group reaches the starting point, they are pleasantly surprised to know that the group of 5 from Mumbai had also signed up for the tour! 😃 So its a total of 16 people and it is evenly divided into 4 groups of 4 people each. Chits are picked and the groups get divided as follows.
Group 1 : Alaana, Ajay, Rajat, Raunak
Group 2 : 2 girls and a guy from Mumbai group and Sameer
Group 3 : Gia, Anand, a girl and guy from Mumbai group
Group 4 : Robbie, Kasturi, Divya and Shivani.
At first, Sameer wants to change his group and move to the one in which Alaana is. But soon enough one of the Mumbai girl from his group catches his fancy and so he decides to stay put! ( 😆 ) Alaana notices this and shakes her head with a smile and thinks........"Yeh ameer log sab ek hi tarah ke hote hai.....sab Casanova type!! Accha hua meine isko bahut pehle hi pehchaan liyaa tha!" She turns to look at Ajay and thinks......."He is probably the same kind! Will have to be careful with him!" 😳
Robbie and Kasturi are very happy that they are together and Kasturi, as woman usually tend to do, very satisfactorily thinks that their being together was a sign from the higher powers!! ( 😆 ) Ajay is also very elated that Alaana was in his group! Divya and Rajat had already challenged each other that the group they each were in, will be the one to win this competition and so they were rearing to go!!
Soon each group starts off in a different direction, whichever direction is allocated to them, after loading themselves with supplies, maps etc.
While Rajat and Raunak are very enthusiastic about the whole process and get cracking in resolving the clues, Alaana and Ajay are more interested in talking to each other! They converse and converse and converse more, walking slowly, in no hurry to join the other two! Raunak cannot help but observe what was happening between Alaana and Ajay. 😳 The attraction on Ajay's side was very obvious, but what was not obvious to Raunak was the struggle that Alaana was undergoing to stop her heart from falling for Ajay!!! 😳 😳 😳 She was trying hard but everything he said, every action of his, his smile, his eyes, the way he laughed, the way he walked, his handsome face, his strong hands........everything was getting lodged in her heart! 😳 😳
Shivani was absolutely loving the trek because it was giving her a fantastic chance of checking out the bird-wealth of that forest. 😛 She was walking with them but was busy observing the different birds in the forest through her binoculars and noting them down in her notebook. But Divya's excitement and confidence that she will be the one to win this competition was spreading to the usually composed and collected Shivani too!!! 😃 And in their excitement they never get to see the proximity between their brother and Kasturi! 😳
This adventure was bringing Robbie and Kasturi more and more close! Any amount of words could not have achieved the rush her heart had felt when he had instantly grabbed her hand and stopped her from slipping down when walking over the wet slippery vegetation!! 😳 😳 ☺️ And when they were getting down that steep climb.....Divya had jumped down easily and so had Robbie. But Shivani was a little scared to jump down from that height and so she had sought Robbie's help. Robbie had grabbed Shivani and had placed her carefully down and then he had turnd to look at Kasturi! 😳 😳 His smiling eyes had conveyed to her how much he was going to enjoy this effort!!! He had slowly reached for her waist, while Kasturi had placed both her hands on his shoulders. He had pulled her down and in the process had brought her very close to himself, slightly brushing her cheek with his lips!!! 😳 And that act of his had sent both of them flying into such dizzy heights, where they had never been before!!! ☺️☺️Whenever they had an opportunity, they helds hands and other times simply walked besides each other! Whatever they were doing, they felt complete with each other and were getting more and more close to each other.
"Toh aage ke kya plans hai, aapke?"........asks Ajay.
Alaana : Well, honestly speaking....I am not too sure! Mei work karnaa chahti hun. Lekin abhi iss baare mei mujhe apni family seh baat karni hai! 😊
Ajay glances at her and asks : Kyun? Family seh koi problem hogaa kya? Woh nahi chahte ke aap kaam kare?
Alaana says quickly : Nahi, nahi....aisi koi baat nahi hai! Mere ghar mei naukri peh koi bandish nahi hai! Actually.......meri chinta yeh hai ke shaayad mei jaisi naukri chahti hun, waisi milni mushkil hogi! 😊
Ajay asks : Kya karnaa chahti hai aap?
Alaana replies : Mei ek creative artist hun. Mei apparel-work karti hun jaise bead-work, thread-work, embroidery etc. Mei isi area mei job karnaa chahti hun! Lekin yeh samajh mei nahi aata ke aisi naukri kahaan milegi!
Ajay : Arre, iss mei koi problem nahi hai! I can get you a job if you are interested!
Alaana stops in her tracks and looks at him surprised! She says......."Ji??" 😳
Ajay stops too and staring at her says : Haan, I can get you a job, the kind you want, if you are interested. Mere ek dost ki fashion studio hai. Bas sirf baat karne ki deri hogi......you will immediately get a job in that studio!
Alaana stares at him, unable to understand how to react!! The mere thought of such a job was leaving her excited! 😳
Ajay asks : Kuch kahenge nahi aap?
Alaana quickly recovers and says : Woh....woh actually...mei....mujhe ghar mei ek baar poochnaa hogaa! Kya mei aapko soch ke batau??? 😳
Ajay says : No problem!
He grabs his wallet and taking his card out, he turns it around and writes down his mobile number and giving it to Alaana says
Ajay : Jab bhi aap sochle, mujhe iss number peh call kar deejiye!
Alaana takes the card and thanks him! Ajay hopes that she will say yes! That was the only way he could be in touch with her! If not she was going to be lost in the crowd again and he was not sure what this feeling was, but did not want to loose her!! 😳
Raunak smiles to himself and thinks..........."Finally, Ajay ko kisi mei interest aa hi gayaa, Good!" 😊 He turns around back to the front and follows Rajat. He was missing Kasturi a bit. A few weeks ago, when Ajay and Raunak had met for their bi-weekly Sunday golf game at the Country Club, Ajay had confided to Raunak that he was very interested in seeing him and Kasturi hook up! Ajay had also told Raunak........."Abhi haal hi mei jab meine Kasturi ke saamne yeh baat chedhi, toh ussneh abhi shaadi karne seh inkaar kar diyaa. Mujhe lagtaa hai, tumhe bhi uss seh baat karni chahiye. I think you both need to know each other more. That way we can take our friendship to the next level!" 😃
Well, Raunak had been trying to get close to Kasturi and try to build a relationship, but everytime, he has been meeting with resistance from her! She simply did not seem interested in him and he was trying to fathom........why??? He had always been irresistible to the opposite sex but for some reason Kasturi was not interested in him! He turns his attention back to the clue in hand that Rajat was trying to deduce.
The clues were in the form of riddles and Robbie did not have to get involved till now, as intelligent Shivani was more than capable of solving most of them. But finally comes one clue that Shivani cannot and so they seek Robbie's help. The riddle says........
Take a left turn when you reach
that which can run but never walks,
has a mouth but never talks
and has a bed but never sleeps!
Robbie thinks for a minute and quickly solves it. "The answer is a river"..........says Robbie. Within a couple of minutes they reach a wide but not a deep river, flowing through and they all take a left there and continue walking. Soon they come upon another riddle they cannot solve and turn to Robbie again. There are 2 parts to the riddle.......
This old one runs forever,
but never moves at all.
He has no lungs nor throat,
but still has a mighty roaring call!
When you reach this, turn around,
The next clue will leave you astound,
Its in a vessel, but not in a pan,
Its not in a bus, but is in a van,
Its once in a verb, but never in a noun,
When you find it, it will be upside down!!
The first part is easy enough and Shivani deduces that it means a waterfall. Soon they hear the sounds of water crashing against rock and quickly reach the waterfall. Robbie reads and re-reads the second part and finally realizes that the clue in the riddle is the letter 'V'. They turn around and look and look but cannot see anything that starts with the letter V! They spend 10 minutes looking around when suddenly they hear Kasturi scream happily!! All three rush back to her and Kasturi points to something in the opposite direction. They all turn to see what it is and find the answer for the riddle!!!
2 tall trees growing a feet apart were leaning towards each other, their tops touching and from the distance it looked just that.......an inverted V....../\!!!!! 😆
The girls scream with joy and Shivani looks at Kasturi admiringly!!! 😳 She is impressed with Kasturi's observation skills!!! 👏 👏 👏 They all quickly walk over to that place. They had walked non-stop for almost 3 hours and so decide to take a break and eat something. While they relax, Shivani walks around, checking the whole area out through her binoculars, trying to find some rare bird. After 10 minutes they suddenly hear her rushing back!!! She reaches them and stares at them shocked. 😲😲😲 Robbie quickly gets up and goes to her!
He asks her concerned : Kya hua Shivani? Tu itni ghabrayi hui kyun hai?? 😕
Shivani tries to be calm and says : Bhaiyya, mere saath aaiye......
She grabs his hand and they walk back. Curious, Divya and Kasturi follow them. Shivani takes them through the forest and soon they reach an edge. About three feet below that is a clearing and they see in that clearing a hut. They are at the backside of the hut and Shivani quickly hands over her binoculars to Robbie and whispers........"Wahaan dekhiye, bhaiyya!" Robbie quickly watches through the binoculars and lets out a gasp 😲😲😲..........A girl was being held captive in that hut!!! She was sitting on a chair. Her hands and legs were tied. She was blindfolded and her mouth was shut tight!!! 😲 Robbie immediately recollects what the Camp Panther office clerk had said about a child having been kidnapped a couple of days before!!! From the place he was standing, he could see 2 men outside the hut as guards. He quickly turns to Shivani and says....."Shabaash Shivani, bahut accha hua jo tumneh yeh dekha!"
Quickly Divya and Kasturi also see her through the binoculars!! Then the group noiselessly moves back to the waterfall. Robbie's mind is racing!! He had noticed that the kidnappers also had radio transmitters. He could not risk using his walkie-talkie and calling for help, as the chances of them hearing his transmission were great!! And they were so deep in the forest that both his and Kasturi's cell-phones were not receiving signal consistently. Finally they all decide that Robbie and Shivani will try to go back and get help while Kasturi and Divya will stay back and observe the kidnappers. This plan seemed to be the best and so they quickly part ways.
Robbie warns Divya : Chutki, mei tujhe jaanta hun....tu bahut utaavali hai! Koi bhi aisa kaam mat karnaa ke museebat ho jaaye! Kasturi ki baat maananaa aur koi gadbad mat karnaa! Samjhi? 😕
Divya agrees and Robbie & Shivani leave asking Kasturi and Divya to be careful. As soon as they leave, Kasturi and Divya walk back to that clearing and take turns in observing the kidnappers. 20 minutes pass and Divya is getting impatient by the minute! She turns to Kasturi and says....."Pataa nahi bhaiyya ko itni der kyun lag rahi hai!! 😡 Mujhe lagtaa hai, hame kuch attempt karnaa chahiye, uss ladki ko chudaane mei!" 😕
Kasturi says : Kaise chudaayenge uss ladhki ko? Woh guards dikh nahi rahe hai kya?
Divya says : Doh hi toh guards hai! Aur woh bhi baahar khade hai! Mujhe lagtaa hai iss peeche ke raaste seh jaakar uss ladki ko chudaa sakte hai! 😳
Kasturi disagrees : Doh guards hame dikh rahe hai, iskaa matlab yeh nahi ke do hi hai, shaayad aur log bhi aas-paas hi ho!! I don't think its a good idea! Hum log yahin wait karenge jab tak keh Robbie, police ko lekar nahi aata.
10 more minutes pass and Divya gets even more restless!
She again says : Ab tak toh hum uss ladki ko bhagaa chuke hote! 😡 Chaliye na, hum log kuch karte hai!
Kasturi dissuades her again : Nahi! Kuch karne ki zaroorat nahi! Bas chup-chap intezaar karte hai!
Divya is irritated and she says : Mei aur intezaar nahi kar sakti! 😡 Agar aap koh darr lag rahaa ho toh aap yahin baithiye! Mei toh chali! 😡
Kasturi is also irritated! She looks at Divya and says
Kasturi : Paagal jaisi harkat mat karo!!! 😡 Woh guards ke paas rifles hai! Aur agar hum bhi pakde gaye toh bahut problem ho jaayegi. Bas 10-15 minutes ki baat hai......Robbie aata hi hogaa!
Divya sulks angrily. 😡 She cannot believe that they are wasting time, waiting here like idiots! And she is even more irritated with Kasturi who seemed to be a coward!!!! 😡 Its been 45 minutes since they started to wait. Well, she has waited long enough! She suddenly gets up and takes off!!! 😲😲😲A shocked Kasturi tries to reach for her but Divya has already moved away!! 😲 Kasturi is about to yell her name 😡 but stops herself as her scream might attract the attention of the kidnappers!!! Kasturi curses under breath 🤬 and starts off after Divya!
Divya meanwhile has run down the higher ground they were on and has slowly crept to the cover of large trees directly behind the hut. She stops for a minute and observes carefully around. From the back she does not have a clear view of the guards who are towards the front. Kasturi is just about to reach Divya, when she notices Divya once agin sprint across to the hut from her cover!!! Kasturi again curses, 🤬 she is very tensed and concerned that Divya's action will land them in trouble!! 😔 She stays behind the trees and observes Divya who has reached the hut and was cautiously peering into the room from a back window! 😲😲Kasturi watches her carefully climb the window and noiselessly jump into the room! Once Divya enters the hut, she is not visible to Kasturi anymore!
Kasturi waits for a few minutes, very worried and wondering what Divya was facing inside that hut!!! 😒 After a few minutes, unable to bear the tension anymore, she also decides to follow the same path as Divya! She darts to the hut and slowly peeps inside the window! She sees Divya standing next to the girl and trying to untie the tightly knotted rope! She was struggling as it was too tight!! Kasturi slowly climbs in too and goes to them. The two kidnappers were right outside and their conversation was constantly droning into Kasturi's ears! 😲
Divya had removed the girl's blind-fold and had apparently signalled her to keep as quite as possible! Kasturi looks at the kid. She was about 8 years old and her eyes were filled with extreme fear and she had this heart-wrenching hollow look on her face!!!! Kasuri's heart goes out for her! 😒 😔 😕
She turns to Divya who looks up at her dejectedly! In her hurry, Divya had not gotten her backpack with her and now she was finding it impossible to untie the knots! Kasturi shakes her head at Divya disapproving of what she had just done. Then Kasturi quickly opens her backpack and takes out a sharp knife which is part of the supplies that they were carrying during the trek! Divya is SO relieved to see the knife!! Kasturi quickly but as noiselessly as possible cuts through the rope. (👏 👏) She first frees the girls hands that have been tied to the chair! And then she cuts through the rope tying her feet. She is almost done when suddenly they are startled by loud laughing from outside! The knife slips from Kasturi's hand as she is startled by the sudden, loud sound 😲😲😲 but luckily for them, it falls on her backpack and so does not make any noise!!!
That was a close call! Kasturi quickly wipes the sweat of her forehead! She cuts up the rope completely and both she and Divya slowly get up. Then they slowly raise the kid up. Her feet buckle down under her! 😲😲 She was too weak and drained to even stand up. Divya and Kasturi glance at each other anxiously!! 😲 Kasturi makes the girl sit down on the chair again and sitting down near her, starts massaging her legs as vigorously as possible. The girl's feet have been tied up so tight by those inhuman kidnappers that the blood circulation had almost stopped!!! 😔 Kasturi's massage will slowly bring the blood flow back and along with that comes back sharp and shooting pain in the girl's legs and she starts to whimper in pain! 😭 😭 Divya quickly places her hand on the girl's mouth and signals her to be quiet!
They again try to raise her up and this time the girl is a little more stable. They quickly half carry and half drag her to the window. First Divya jumps out and with great difficulty Kasturi hoists the girl up on the window sill. Then they slowly push and pull her till she is out the window. Then Kasturi climbs up the window and slides down on the other side. They heave a sigh of relief!! They never thought this could be this easy and then.............everything goes haywire!!! 😲
Robbie and Shivani had dashed out to search for help! All through the way back Robbie had kept trying to use his phone. They had gone up the mountain about 15 minutes, when he was finally able to reach the Camp Panther office. He had quickly relayed the message and it was immediately broadcast throughout the police control room. Immediately the chief had called Robbie back and after getting his exact location information, a platoon of police officers are immediately dispatched. It had taken the platoon half an hour to reach them! The distance that Robbie and team covered in 2 hours was covered in half an hour by the police officers! As soon as they reach Robbie, all of them had come back to the place where Robbie had asked Kasturi and Divya to wait. When they reach there, Divya and Kasturi had vanished!!! Robbie sees Divya's backpack lying around and suddenly feels a deep fear grip his heart!!! 😕 It dawns upon him that maybe they were captured by the kidnappers!!! And in his extreme fear, he whips out his cell phone and calls Kasturi!! 😲 😔
Kasturi had just gotten off the window sill when her phone goes off loud and clear........"Kahiye, suniye....suniye kahiye....kehte sunte baaton baaton mei pyaar ho jaayegaa....pyaar ho jaayegaa"!!! 😲😲 Kasturi and Divya freeze in their tracks!!! 😲😲As soon as the phone goes off, Kasturi tries to reach for her phone to switch it off when she realizes that her phone had slipped off her bag when she was struggling to get that girl onto the window and it was right now lying in the hut loudly playing her latest ringtone!!! 😲 Kasturi turns to look back and instantly sees the 2 men walk into the hut. Divya and Katuri take off with the girl and try to hobble away as fast as possible!!! The men take one look at the empty chair and rush to the window! They see all three of the girls rushing away and immediately jump out of the window, one after the other and take off after them!!
By then the police and Robbie have already noticed Kasturi and Divya and Robbie rushes forward towards them when he is stopped sharply by the commanding officer........"Yahin rukiye! Dekhte nahi, the kidnappers are armed!"
Robbie says to the Officer: Officer, woh mere log hai! Unki jaan khatre mei hai! Mujhe unki madad ke liye jaana hi hogaa! 😔 😒
Officer : Unki madad karnaa hamaara kaam hai, aapka nahi!
The officer quickly rushes forward to handle the situation! He quickly grabs the loudspeaker and his voice booms out..........."Wahin ruk jaao, varnaa goli seh udaa diye jaaoge!! Mei police chief bol rahaa hun! Jahaan ho wahi ruk jaao!"
Both sets of people freeze in their tracks......Kasturi, Divya and the hostage as well as the 2 kidnappers!!! 😲😲 Suddenly the kidnappers start firing at the police and the police start to retaliate!! Kasturi and Divya are caught in the cross-fire!! 😭
"CHUTKI.........KASTURI!!!!! scream Robbie and Shivani!!! They rush forward but some of the police personnel restrain them!! Robbie struggles to get out of their grip!!
Kasturi had watched enough movies to realize what she had to do and she pulls both the other girls and crashes to the ground!!! They lie there too scared to even breath let alone move!!! 😔 Kasturi turns to look at both the other girls.........Divya was shaking uncontrollably 😭 😭 😭 and the other small girl had blanked out!!! Kasturi herself was very scared but she was trying to be as brave as possible!!! The firing continues for another 5 minutes before both the kidnappers are shot! While one is dead the other is only injured. When the firing stops, Kasturi still holds both the girls down. She wanted to be absolutely sure that there were no lingering shots left. But suddenly Divya gets up!! 😲😲😲 She could not take it anymore..........she just wanted to get into her brother's safe arms!!! 😭 😭 😭 The closed-range shooting has left her nerves completely wrecked!!!
A shocked Kasturi tries to stop her when she notices that one of the kidnappers had suddenly picked his rifle up and was aiming at a sprinting Divya!!!😲😲😲 Kasturi has only a split-second to take a decision and she gets up and blocks the shot aimed at Divya while screaming Divya's name!!
Robbie watches helplessly as he sees Kasturi slip to the ground and as Kasturi is going down 😲😲, she hears another shot being fired!😲
