Oppo its very much possible that they keep updating their blocker list in their coding to block as much content getting pirated as possible some famous and known VPNs before and some unfilimar onces recently. I am my self programer and its very much just coding improvement that keeps the thing consistent so that they can block as many vpns as they can when they come across it from their analysis. Again this is nothing new and doest affect much as long as they get views for episode to calculate they can get a TRP based on that ratio infact from what you are saying based on that it should decrease since many left show few weeks and now mumber of block from vpns have also increased by hotstar but results are in front for everyone to see that some people are clearly watching KZK again last week hence the increase.👍

it is not about VPN .. They don't restrict VPN , they are restricting non subscriber access globally . if i have subscription , i could also access through VPN...

I'm not really able to understand why hotstar is working with VPN in select areas and not in others. 🤷‍♀️

Hope subscription or no subscription unless you watch an episode and contribute to views subscription has no effect on TRP whats so ever. No coding as this level can differentiate whether person who watch an episode is using vpn or not for viewers to increase. Now logic is they are getting more revenu from paid vpns and from subscription from all their online apps which includes us, uk and many more. TRP only makes sense if someone watches the episode and not because you just subscribe to hotstar or how many did. 😜

I know that but as we are discussing how subscribe rs effect TRP hence my reply.no coding at this level that i am aware of can differentiate between if the viewer has used vpn or not to watch the episode or subscription for that matter. No of Views seems a genion way to calculate the TRP not hotstar subscription done by someone. Subscription is interrelated to vpns getting blocked and them getting more money out of peoples pocket thats all.

Again just saying that either viewers for the show has increased in last week hence this TRP or we can assume it was never real from start.

No I get that.. I'm not talking about that. I mean it's logic that trp of a show will come only if you watch an episode of a show. I'm not at all commenting on revenue from paid or unpaid VPN and hotstar subscription, because ultimately one has to view an episode for it to get counted towards trp.

I was simply asking whether hotstar blocking free VPN may be resulting in people from other regions using hotstar through VPN being unable to do so. Because hotstar is not supported in EU and I watch hotstar from Germany using express VPN which is a paid VPN. And I don't have hotstar VIP subscription either.

I was commenting on the inability to watch hotstar using VPN not on its effect on trp. 😛

Hehhe ok ya hotstar i think is working towards every loopholes and glitch they can find to get pirated and free contain restricted so that they can get more revenu. As you said they might have tie up with paid VPNs who knows. I think hotstar is improving well globally 👍 we may see more restrictions on future who knows.

TRP ofcourse will effect , agar aise globally they are making overseas fans their subscriber gradually ... it is not about kzk only .. it is in general for all HS shows. even HS is hartak strict hai , they even could not tolerate the normal caps of episodes.. they bann the account . even a lot of our baju fan's account got suspend as they uploaded caps merely . i also thought the same , views only matter for them , no matter what from where and how.. but after getting this restriction , whatever i have understand they want subscriber as well as not only views. and ofcourse a crazy fan will take the subscription for watching no matter what . meanwhile vpn only used by overseas fans .. so they ofcourse will use VPN to watch from those countries where HS is blocked. so for them it is easy to locate and restrict. i am not saying about last week's TRP . it is not about kzk only .. it is overall for all HS shows . and i also heard they count the VIP premium views for day to day TRP count . so if a member Premium viewership lete hai toh unke liye jeyada faideman hui na ... ek toh subscription payment and sath mai viwes revenue... and i guess they are thinking from that place.
