Sorry to keep you all waiting for so long. I wasn't keeping too well and the doctors told me not to strain my self on t he computer for too long. With my sinus and nose bleeds.

That is why now also i have done only a short update. Hopefuly I should be doing regular updates now but they might be short like the one i have written. I wanted to do a long one but then I cannot promise a regularity of them. So please bear with me for the time being. And hope you all enjoy this part and the next part is going to be a JB part and another shade of Jai Walia's character will be revealed.

Chapter 11

That night as Jai was back from the club with Adi and Tarun. Adi just commented on why he had to blast at Bani for just having a good time with her friends. To which Jai only had one thing to say.

Adi: Jai you were too hard on her and Massi.

Jai: So you have been send to recommend on their behalf.

Adi: Oh no they don't even know I am having this conversation with you. Please I don't want you going and saying anything more there.

Jai: Relax Adi and you and Massi have known me for years by now you should know I like my instructions to be followed not questioned so when someone defies that I don't take it lightly.

Adi: Come on Jai she is only a little girl.

Jai: Never get carried away by innocence. And I don't think so she is so dumb like you make her sound. After all Massi keeps harping about her achievements.

Adi: Oh that she is.

But Tarun felt something amiss in Jai's statement. Why would a girl like her bother "The great Jai Walia"? But then he never got to ponder on that as work kept all of them busy

Days went by as usual for both of them. Jai was back to the office and globe trotting he had some projects abroad that he hardly was in India. The office in India was quite happy that the boss was away. Bani was quite busy with her school and she never had time to think of Jai except of course to curse him. She had lot of things to catch up with due to her absence and every evening she would curse Jai for making her miss school so long that now she had to sit and slog to finish her work.

Nattu: Hey it's good once in a while to work hard instead of trying to manipulate others to get work done.

Pushkar: You don't have to be so mad because I couldn't get the print out the way you wanted it.

Bani: excuse me. I did not get all those grades because you all worked on my behalf. And as for helping me I do your dirty jobs also.

Nattu: Like what.

Bani: Now you want me to list it out. Fine. Whenever you never want to accompany Massi to her temple trips, let me remind you when the high and mighty has always insisted on you being there, Who goes? To call up those stupid girls and rearrange appointments to get those silly gifts. And you Pushy don't forget how much notes I have copied for you over the years.

Pushkar: I wasn't complaining it was him and any day I would work for you.

Nattu; Ya now I am the bad person. Leave me alone to get the brunt from Massi for spoiling her darling daughter's mood.

Pushkar: Between her Munna and rani I wonder if we stand any chance.

Massi Hearing all these bickering.

Massi: For that you both have to grow up, now come and help me lay up the table for dinner.

Pushkar: What about Bani.

Massi: can't you see she is studying.

Nattu: you want dinner you better help here.

Bani just sticks her tongue out at Pushkar which he gets mad and throws the cushion on to Bani and it spoils the drawing she was doing in her practical record book as the pencil moves from her hand and goes across the page.

Massi on seeing this just passes the order now you both can help with that drawing too for spoiling that girl's whole day's work. Bani felt like laughing but she suppressed it as she knew the two of them were now royally mad. First she bullies them they get fired from Massi and then a misstep on their part lands them up with more work. Pushkar had only one thing to say Bani is another terror. To which Nattu had only one reply but she is the most adorable and lovable person in this family.

After about two months When Adi along with Jai was discussing their latest project with the team Adi kept on looking at the phone and the clock Jai felt something a miss.

Jai: Adi earth to, got a new girl friend that I should know about.

Adi: With your sister that is impossible.

Jai: So why is it that you have been staring at the clock and mobile phone of yours?

Adi: I had to pick up Bani and take her to the tailors for the costume. She said she would call around this time and I don't think I will be able to finish up for another two hours. So must think of some excuse.

Jai: Why would you

Adi: wow are you letting me go without completing the details.

Jai: I didn't say you could go.

Adi: Then

Jai: she only needs someone to take her to the shop and drop her back home I shall do that as it is I haven't met Massi for now like what seems ages.

Adi: Are you sure about this as Bani's job could take some time.

Jai: If I said I will go then I will as it is my job here is over.

Adi: Alright then don't complain later saying that you got delayed or anything.

Jai: You worry about the project and leave Bani to me.

Adi: I shall call and tell her that you would be coming.

When Adi informed that Jai was coming she was not too keen. After the fiasco that evening they had never met. And now all alone with him is not going to be nice. And that invitation god hope he has forgotten about it. And today's tailor visit may be she could cancel it off. Her mind was contemplating over the things that she would do so that she could refrain from talking to Jai.

Just then Jai comes from behind and she has not noticed his presence in the reception area where she was sitting and having her fruit punch.

Jai: So are we ready to leave

To which Bani just jerks and gets up. Just then the choreographer of the show and the institute head comes in and on seeing Jai Walia there they are bit confused. And Bani was like oh God help me now? Have I got to introduce them now?

Well she was saved of the job as they did the introductions themselves and they commented also they were surprised to see him here. To which Bani quickly answered

Bani: He has come to take me home.

Chorographer: But I thought today you would meet up with the tailor and finalize on the costume Bani we don't have much time for the show.

Bani there now he too had to spill out everything.

Bani: Eh I was planning to go with Adi uncle.

Jai: That's fine Adi had told me about going to the tailor. So we will go there first. So when is the show?

Chorographer: Oh Bani hasn't told you about it. Normally she keeps talking about an event like even before it's planned out. So how come you missed on something important.

Jai: Oh I was traveling a bit so we didn't meet much

Bani thinking to her self meet much, I can count on my fingers the number of times we have met. Or rather it was a dressing down I got from you every time. But none of them were aware of the under current passing through Bani's brain

They went to explain the show and the charity they would be funding. And they went to talk about the solo performance by Bani.

Jai: That's really nice.

Bani thought this was her chance to get back at Jai. She too would show him that she was not a chit of a girl who he thought didn't know to make a stand for herself.

Bani: Actually I did mention it once but that was few months back. And Mr. Walia was keen on seeing me perform. So may be we could call him on behalf of the centre and Mr. Walia is quite generous in funding such charitable cause.

The institute head: That would be great if Mr. Walia aggress to it. Moreover it's for a good cause too. If you could be the chief guest.

Jai wanted now to just wriggle out of the situation and he had realized that Bani had checked mated him for the conversation they had that evening on who was going to win the bet. This way she would win the bet and he would be there for the show too. As the organizers would be calling him

Jai: I don't think I can be a chief guest or anything But I could donate for the cause.

Chorographer: Come on Mr. Walia I can promise you it would be a good show and also you get to see Bani perform and see the dance she had choreographed which got first place in the dance utsav.

Jai didn't promise a thing to them but he said he would get back to them after checking out with his sectary about his schedule and then may be do something about it. So Jai had turned to tables towards Bani. But knowing Bani he knew she would find a way before this evening to get him for the show. They were keenly looking forward to Bani helping them out to get Jai Walia that day. And Bani was mentally kicking herself for opening that big mouth of hers. How was she supposed to get him there when hardly they ever met. He never came to see Massi also now days. So what ever talking she had to do she had to do it this evening.

So stay tuned to know if Bani would get Jai that day to be the chief guest of the show. And why does Jai watch with hawk eyes on every move Bani makes. Is there more to it then a passing fancy.
