Chapter 2

Nandini's POV

Finally wow..! Its my first day at job I am nervous and kind of excited too as I was going to see Manik Sir again. Aray I don't know why but I want to see him again and again. His little gesture of care was so cute. I woke up very early in the morning it was only 5 am and I have to reach at office on correct 8 am one hour before my BOSS..! I came out of my room and saw Maa praying to Aiyappa I quietly stood behind her and folded my hands too.

"Oye Nandu..! Tu itna jaldi uth gai?"Maa asked as soon as she finished praying.

"G Maa..! Nend nahi aa rahi the..!"I said smilingly and Maa gave me aarti.

"Acha..! Aj tera pehla din hai na job pay? Myny Aiyappa say pray kiya hai kay meri Nandu ko zindagi kay har exam main pass karen..!"Maa said in all her motherly love and I hugged her tightly.

"Thank you so much Maa..! I love you..!"I exclaimed.

I reached on time superb..! It was exactly 7:59am..! I mentally patted myself as it's for the first time I was on time. I was so eager to see Manik again that I reached I minute before why I was so eager well I don't know yet but yeah I want to be around him although he don't like me much but tou kya hua I will offer him my friendship haan..! I reached Cabir's Cabin and again knocked the door.

"Come in..!"I got permission again and went inside.

"Good Morning Cabir..!"I greeted him joyfully and he smiled at me.

"Good Morning sweetheart..!"He complimented me and suddenly a very deep blush crept on my cheeks and all my joyness flew away. Cabir noticed it and laughed.

"Relax Nandini..! I complimented you as my own sister..! You can consider me your bhai..!"Cabir said casually and I sighed in relief.

"Main ap ko bhai bool skti hoon?"I asked hesitantly and Cabir's smile became more wide.

"Of course..!"He said smilingly nodding his head and I became happy. Wow first day at job and I got a bhai maybe good luck was on my side today. "Ok enough of the talking..! Go and start your work all the best..!"Cabir oh I mean Cabir Bhai told me and I smilingly got up. "And Nandini..! Manik is a little short tempered..! So I hope you can manage..!"Lastly Cabir Bhai said and I nodded my head happily. I didn't knew that I can manage Manik Sir's short temper or not but yeah I have a feeling that nothing will go wrong but as usual my instincts were wrong.

I reached Manik Sir's big big office as I entered it my jaws dropped open with shock.

"Aiyappa even our orphanage is smaller than this..!"I said in an amazed tone as I was really very impressed by the renovation of the office. I saw at my watch it was 8:30 now. So I have already 30 minutes to prepare his morning coffee. I went to canteen to prepare his coffee. Cabir Bhai had told me that Manik Sir drinks coffee after every 2 hours I wonder that time how much coffee he drink? Well I prepared coffee now it was 8:55 am only five minutes were left for Manik Sir's arrival. I came back to Manik Sir's office and placed the coffee cup on his table. Moreover I arranged the files too. Then I sat on my choto sa table which was reserved for me. I placed my bag on the table and searched for my favorite chocolate. Finally I found it but accidently it fell of my hand and as the floor was slippery the chocolate slipped under Manik Sir's table I slapped my head annoyingly.

"Aiyappa why I always land up in trouble?"I murmured and crawling on my knees I crept under the table finally I got my chocolate back I was about to come out when suddenly I heard footsteps which were becoming nearer and nearer with each passing second. I look at my watch and my eyes popped out it was exactly 9:00 am and my punctual boss was here. My blood went dry in my veins.

Manik's POV

I came to my office as my heartbeat was breaking all the records I was wishing not to see her again but my heart was shouting for her. At last I entered my Cabin and felt a little surprised as she was not there but then I saw her bag and cup of hot coffee moreover my files were arranged too. That means she had came to office but where was she. I was a little disappointed but I shrugged my shoulders and was about to sat on my chair when suddenly I heard someone sneezing. Who was it? The sound was of under the table I fumed with anger how dare someone to sneak in my cabin and to hide under my desk. I bent down and was about to shout on the person but the person in front of me left me shocked.

"Nandini..!"I shouted angrily. She was under the table as soon as she heard my shout she showed me her 32 teeth to hide her embarrassment. Gosh How much cute she was..!

"Go-good morn-morning Sir..!"She stammered and salute me putting her hand on her temple. I sighed in dismay.

"Come out..!"I said coldly.

"Han?"She asked blankly.

"Han kya han? I said come out..!"I shouted and once again I lost my temper. She closed her eyes and was about to come out when she banged her head with the table and shrieked in pain,hearing her shriek my expressions softened.

"Careful..!"I said softly and with that I put my hand on her head. She look at me with astonished expressions and I immediately look away. Then placing my hand on her head and I almost dragged her out. Once she was out I was back in my arrogant mood.

"Now will you please do the honor of telling me that what the hell were you doing under the table?"I asked in an extremely cold tone and she made a sad pout.

"Wo kya hai na..! Meri chocolate desk kay neechy gir gai the..!"She told me in a tragic tone and waved her chocolate in front of my face. I shook my head in disbelief she crept under my table for a mere chocolate and now she was unwrapping it. Then her next move left me speechless she broke the chocolate in two pieces and gave one piece to me moreover she stuffed her mouth with other half. I didn't took the chocolate as I was so shocked to react she was SHARING her chocolate with me. When she saw me shocked she frowned a little and again waved the half in front of my face.

"Sir take it na..! Maa kehti hain hamesha share kar kay khana chye..!"She said shrugging her shoulders with that she packed my half in the packet and placed it on my desk. Then she picked up the coffee cup. "Sir your morning coffee..! Just the way you like..!"She exclaimed and I came to reality. I frowned and almost snatched the cup from her. Then I sat on my seat and opened my laptop. I noticed her standing beside me with a cute smile.

"Ab tum mery Sir pay kis khushi main khari ho?"I shouted on her and her smile vanished.

"Main ap kay Sir pay tou nahi khari..! Main tou ap kay side pay khari hoon..!"She said in a confused tone and I felt like banging my head in some wall she didn't understood my phrase.

"Nandini it's a Phrase..!"I said shaking my head in dismay and her lips curved in a O then she smiled sheepishly. "Now tell me why are you standing beside me?"This time I asked her in simple words.

"Aray Cabir Bhai told me that I should follow you like your shadow..!"She confessed innocently and I just wanted to shoot Cabir..! Wait a second did she just said Cabir bhai?? God..! Cabir I will kill you for sure..!

"Nandini..! There is no need to follow me like my shadow..! Just go on your seat and sit..! Jab mjhy zarorat ho ge tou I will call you...!"I said nodding my head and she too bobbed her head. Then she sat on her seat. I sighed in relief and resumed my work. Suddenly she started humming some melody and I again frowned. I look at her and she was again munching a chocolate. Her voice was so soothing..! So tempting..! That girl was getting on my nerves God..! Kis janam ka badla lay rahy ho..? I had to stop her from humming..!

"Nandini..!"I called her and she within a second almost run towards. But I don't it was her luck or mine her foot tripped and she landed on me. Her eyes were closed due to fear and I unintentionally held her close to me. She was almost in my lap and was breathing heavily due to fear of falling. For the first time she was so close to me my heartbeats were getting wild. Her long silky hair spread on her back. Her face devoid of any makeup but still so fresh. Her bubbly chubby cheeks,her pouty lips were making me crazy..! I was falling for her..! No..! I composed myself and look at our condition. She was in my lap moreover she was clutching my shirt collars and her eyes were tightly shut. I coughed a little and she immediately opened her eyes. I gave her a sarcastic look and she lowered her eyes.

"Now will you please get up..! As you are very heavy..!"I said coldly suppressing my smile and her eyes widened with shock.

"I am not heavy..!"She shouted, without bothering to get up off from my lap.

"Yes you are..!"I again said in a serious tone. I don't believe myself, I was joking with a girl but what do to her expressions were priceless..!

"Sachi?"She asked innocently and I simple nodded. Then she went almost in tears and I mentally slapped myself for making her cry.

"Hey it was just a joke..!"I said strictly so she don't cry but the very next moment she started laughing. Oh God what was she? Her laughs tuned some unknown strings in my heart and She got up from my lap. "What's so funny?"I shouted as I was back in my angry mood to hide my embarrassment.

"No..! Nothing...! Ap ny mjy q bulaya tha?"She changed the topic and I too sighed on that change of topic.

"Haan..! Wo why were you humming the melody?"I asked strictly and again I saw confused expressions on her face.

"Wo..! Time pass..!"She said casually and I was like what?

"Tum yahan time pass karny I ho?"I shouted this time.

"No Sir..! You only said na that when you will need me you will call me tou I had no other work so just...!"She stammered and I frowned she was right.

"Ok..! Take these files and point out all the dictation mistakes..!"I ordered her and gave her five files she happily took them and went to her seat. I thought she will take a lot of time in her work so I will be at peace but she done the work in exceptionally less timings I was astonished on her abilities.

"Done Sir..!"She said giving me the files and I checked all the files. Then I look at her she was as usual smiling.

"How?"That's all I could ask.

"What how?"She asked confusingly and I shook my head.

"Nothing..!"I said and again got busy in my work. She sat on her seat again and again started munching chocolates. I had no meetings today so I was doing some pending work. I was so engrossed in my work that I didn't realized I skipped my lunch and she too but she didn't objected nor she asked for anything. Suddenly I heard the Off bell that means it was 6 pm God..! I immediately look at Nandini and found her writing something on some kind of pink diary. I got up from my seat and walked towards her.
