Chapter 4 : Nandini is Strong

Soha comes running to Manik and hugs him, Manik was taken aback by such an action of hers.

Manik - Tum yaha ? kaise (rubbing his hands)

Soha - Manny ... aww... tumhare bare mein sab kuch jaanti hoon ! Kaisa laga mera surprise ?

Cabir - Haan haan Soha ! its written on his face that he loved it. (Sarcastically)

Soha - aww . { Saying this she beats Manik on his chest}

Mukti whispers to Cabir - Isse sarcasm nahi samajh mein ata kya ?

At Nandini's House

Nandini had reached in front of her door and was hesitant to open the door thinking about Aryaman's reaction. She slowly took out the petition paper which Manik gave and thought about Manik's words.

"You should be strong Nandini Murty" she said to herself and opened the door.

There was complete darkness inside the house. Nandini was surprised as she thought Aryaman would be there. She slowly went near the switches and switched on the lights. She saw Aryaman sitting on the couch and got shocked.

Nandini - tu.. tum.. (stammers) tumne mujhe darra diya. You really scared me. { Nandini said without looking into his eyes}

Aryaman got up from the couch and came near her and said "Meine ? I scared you .. Tum Iron women banne ki koshish kar rahe dhe na. When I called you. Kaha dhhe tum (shouted on the top of his voice)

He starts throughing and breaking things. Even though Nandini tried calming him, all that happened was she hurt herself. Nandini had tears in her eyes recalling her parents.

Flashback

Sunitha Pathak Murty - Nandini's Mother

Mahesh Mutry - Nandini's Father

Sunitha - Be clear beta ! Aryaman tumhare liye sahi nahi hai. Aaj kal tumhe hamare baton se zyada uske baton mein hai na bharosa.

Nandini - Aryaman mere liye sab se sahi ladka hai. Aap galat ho maa. You will understand it one fine day.

Sunitha - Mein galat hoon ? I'm your maa. Mein kabhi galat nahi ho sakta.

Mukesh - Nandini tum aise khud ka decision nahi le sakte

Nandini - Par papa jo sahi hai who toh kar sakte hai.

Nandini comes out of the flashback and tears roll down her eyes. She realized that blood was flowing from the left side of her forehead. Aryaman keeps on drinking alcohol, finally lost his senses and fell down on the floor. Nandini took him up and made him lie in the bed. Seeing Aryaman she burted into tears.

Dil jude bina hi tut gaye hath mile bina hi chhut gaye Ki likhe ne lekh kismet ne Baar baar rod akhiyan tainu jo na vekh sakiyan Khole aaye aaj kudrat ne Kataan main ki ve din teri soth tere bin Main toh jiya na mara {plays in the background}

She takes the petition paper and ink and takes his thumb impression.

"Mere dil mein tumhare liye koi jagah nahi hai Aryaman. Mera sabse bura sapna. Bhula chukka hoon mein tumhe" Nandini cries hardly .

Chan Se jo tute koi sapna JAg suna suna lage Jag suna suna lage Koi rahe na jab apna JAg suna suna lage Jag suna suna lage Jag suna suna {plays in the background}

"Its all over "for" "ever" Mr. Aryaman." Tanhai si tanhai hai Aur ek hum hai pyaar ke bin Har Palchin Chan Se jo tute koi sapna JAg suna suna lage Jag suna suna lage

Nandini wipes her tears, comes and stands in front of the mirror she takes the mangalsutra from her neck and keeps it in the dressing table, wipes her sindoor and says "I'm now free. Nandini Murty is free. Ab divorce ho ya nahi, it all over between us Aryaman. I have wiped you off from my heart." Lambi judai lambi judai plays in the background

It's the next day morning.

Aryaman wakes up without great difficulty. He starts shouting Nandini's name. "Nandini ... Nandini ..." He sees the mangalsutra in the dressing table and takes it and smirks.

At Navya's House

Someone brings a cup of tea for Navya, and Navya takes it smiling. It is none other than Nandini.

Navya - Tumhare chot (wound) kaisa hai.

Nandini touches it and remembers removing the mangalsutra and says "yeh chot bhi teekh hai aur mera dil ka bhi" and smiles and hugs Navya tight.

Navya - Haan haan. Aise hi smile karo tum bohat acchi lagti ho !

Navya calls Manik.

Navya - Good Morning Sir,

Manik - Hello good Morning Navya.

Navya - Sir aap free hoga aaj. Urgently milna hai aapse. Case mein kuch important, Sir please kya hum aapke office aa sakte hai ?

Manik - Mein ghar pe hoon Navya, aaj court 10 clock hi javoonga. Ek kaam karte hai, mein office jaate waqt I will pick you ppl and hum office mein jaake baat karenge. It that fine, agar ab gaye toh you will have to wait.

Navya - Sir that's so sweet of you, par koi problem nahi hai, hum 10'o clock be baad aa gayega. Aapko takleef le ne ki zaroorat nahi hai.

Manik - Oh no Navya, aisa nahi hai, I will pick you both relax, buss address message kardo and get ready !

Navya - Thank you sir, abhi message karti hoon address.

Saying this they cut the phone. Navya asks Nandini to get ready and goes in. Suddenly Navya gets a call. It was her boss, Javed Sir.

When Nandini comes from her room getting ready, she sees Navya busy drawing some plans.

Nandini - Tum khud ready nahi ho Navya ? ( she asks in amusement)

Navya - Office se Javed Sir ka phone dha, Mr.Dhawan ke house plan ko redraw karne ko bola hai. Haad hai Nandu, pehle yeh Santhosh ka client dha, Santhosh ne escape kiya, aur mujhe yeh client diya. Yeh 8^th time hai mein yeh plan redraw kar rahi ho ! Lagta hai pagal admi hai ( the last line she said in quite an angry tone)

Nandini - Par Navya I'm sure 10min sir aa jayega, tum ready nahi ho.

Navya - Nandu mujhe nahi lagta mein aa pavoongi, drawing ke baad office jaana hai uss client se milne. Pehli baar milne jaa rahi hoon so I have to be on time. Atleast yeh plan toh usse convince karvana hai. So, tum jaavona. Vaise mera koi kaam bhi nahi hai vaha pe. Sir sab handle kardega.

Nandini - Mein akele ? ( popping her eyes out) noo.. noo kaise Navya.

Navya - Nandu please ab koi drama mat karo sir aate hi hoga, meri achi wali Nandu please, { Saying this she side hugged Nandini, finally says, } Mere liye .

Nandini - teekh hai teekh hai, ab emotional black mail mat karo.

They hear a horn and understands that Manik had arrived. Nandini takes her bag and runs outside. She comes backwards hugs Navya and says "All the best" and runs.

Manik opens the door for Nandini,

Manik - Navya kaha hai ?

Nandini - woh... nahi aa rahi hai. Office mein koi emergency aa gaye.

Manik paid less heed to Nandini's reply, he was mesmerized in her beauty, her hair flying in the air, her way of talking, it was for the first time Manik was lost some girl's beauty. Nandini kept on talking and he was just looking at her without even blinking his eyes.

Suddenly Nandini tapped him on his shoulders "Sir...Sir.. aap sun rahe ho, kya hum jaa sakte hai" she asked.

When they were about to get into the car, Manik sees the bandage on Nandini's head.

Manik - Kya hua tumahre forehead pe, kya hua. I'm sorry, kabse se tum baat kar rahe ho and I didn't even notice. I really sorry. Par baato kya hua.

Manik had guilt in his eyes for not noticing the wound, Nandini understood that Manik felt uncomfortable.

Nandini - Sir, issi ki baare mein baat karna dha aapse. Aur don't worry ab mein teekh hoon aur apko maaf bhi kiya. ( She starts laughing)

Manik felt a little relived and also smiled with her. He opened the door for her and made her sit. He came and sat on the driver' seat and drove off.
