Prologue

Nandini was a chirpy, happy go lucky girl, but happiness never stays... She never knew that her life would take such a drastic change. She never thought that the person she loved the most would ditch her. "Aryaman Khurana" her life, her HUSBAND. She lived for him, never did she know that he used her for his selfish means. They met during their college days and fell in love. Her parents were against her relation with Aryaman, so she decided to leave her house and also got married to him. For her, he was the perfect guy. But, he had his mean motives due to which he got married to her. He wanted to get her parents property, he tried his level best to make their relation better with her parents. He failed in his plans , he had lost all his hopes , and finally from her Romeo he became the Beast. He treated her so badly, her dreams were crushed, her faith in love was taken away. Her beautiful quotes on love vanished. Tortures increased day by day, her heart had lost its strength to bear the pain he gave her. Physical tortures were later accompanied by mental tortures. He started coming home with other girls. This was the point when Nandini decided to give up on her marriage and she headed for their divorce.

Navya, is very bubbly kind and she is also extrovert and outspoken. Nandini's best friend since college. She was the one who supported Nandini's decision on heading towards her divorce and stood up for her being her family against Aryaman. It was not easy for Nandini to manage with her heart break but Navya had become her shadow and always tried to bring back the old Nandini. She is the one who hired one of the best lawyers in town, Manik Malhotra. But, never did she know she would bring the most important change in her best friend's life.

It is a love story of a divorce young girl Nandini and an ace lawyer Manik Malhotra who fought her divorce case.

Chapter 1 - The Bad Face - of

It was about 10 am in the morning and Navya and Nandini were ready to go to court. They got into an auto.

Navya - koi problem hai kya nandu ? (she asked in caring tone)

Nandini - pata nahi, agar Aryaman ko pata chala toh who kaise react karega ? Mujhe kuch samaj nahi aa raha hai.

Navya - Mujhe yakeen nahi ho raha hai nandu , tumhe abhi uss insaan ka itna phikr hai !

Nandini - Nahi, bas tension hai, sab teekh hoga na ?

Navya - Kyoon nahi ? Sabh teekh hi hoga

Saying this Navya hugged Nandini. Within no time they were in the family court. Nandini's heart beats grew faster.

On the other hand, Malhotra Mansion

His phone was ringing continuously, but he was in his deep slumber, not in any mood to pick up the phone. It was his servant who woke him up.

Manik Malhotra, the most efficient bachelor in town.

Manik saw his clock was on 10:15 and was hell shocked.

Manik (to himself) : yeh kya kar diya. Aaj toh mujhe meeting hai na uss client ke saath. Ohh shit. I' am late.

He rushed to the washroom, brushed and came out, he started searching for his dress, but found it was not ironed.

Manik (to himself) : Ab kya karuuu.

Suddenly an idea popped on his mind, as looked at his black tracks and white t-shirt. He ran taking his coat to his car and drove it in the maximum speed.

@Court

Nandini has already finished 3 packets of chips because of her tension. Seeing her best friend in such a condition Navya couldn't stop her sarcastic comments.

Navya - tum gynecologist se milne nahi, ek advocate se milne jaa rahi ho nandu .

Nandini gave no heed to Navya's comments, but suddenly she made a sad pout and said

Nandini : Chips khatam ho gaya. { catching th chips packet upside down and trying to take out its smallest pieces.}

Seeing Nandini's childish gestures Navya could not stop her laughter and started warning her. Navya deep at her heart was happy seeing Nandini's such immature actions as it was long since she had seen such things from her best friend.

Nandini - Mein ek aur chips lene jaa rahi hoon !

Navya (shocked) : Kyaaa... 4^th chips nahiii... Tum moti ho jaa voongi .

Nandini was least bothered about what Navya said and went to the nearby shop in the court premises to by a chips and water.

Nandini was eating the chips like a child and she opened the bottle of water to drink and suddenly she collided with a person.

All the chips were on her hair, and water was flowing from her head to toes. She opened her eyes and was shocked to see her condition.

The guy turned back and it was Manik. He was also shocked to see what he had done. He was already getting late and this would take even more of his time, so he gave her a 500 rupee note and ran from there.

Nandini - ohhh hello { manik had then alreay disappeared} kitna badtameez hai !

Manik ran into his cabin, put his coat, adjusted his hair and asked the peon to call the client.

Peon (came out of Manik's cabin) : Nandini Murty... Nandini Murty

Navya : Yeh nandu kaha reh gaya! Ab toh advocate se milna hai.

She messaged Nandini

Nandini saw the message and was in a state of shock, she had no idea of what to do. She tried throwing the chips from her hair but it was all drenched.

Nandini - Aiyyappa ... Mein kya karooon. Dekho mera kya haal ho gaya. {She yelled loudly, getting everyone's attention. She noticed their glare and ran from there in embarrassment}

In Manik's cabin:

Manik : Please take your seat.

Meine apka petition deka. Divorce hmmm. { taking a deep breath} so yeaa, yeh ek one sided petition hai. Actually divorces 2 types hai. Jointed petition aur one sided petitions. Hamesha jointed petitions ko court jyada importance de ta hai. Less time consuming bhi hai. But koi problem nahi hai agar its one sided petition bhi hai toh ...

{Manik kept blabbering, thinking Navya was Nandini, Navya tried intervening but he never gave her a chance}

Manik : mein apki profile dekti hoon. {saying this he turned his chair back and started studying Nandini's profile again}

Navya (to herself) : Ab mein isse kaise baton ki mein Nandini nahi hai.

Sir {She tried calling Manik}

Suddenly a knock intervened them.

Manik : Come in.

It was Nandini...

Navya was shocked to see Nandini's condition and asked her

Navya : yeh kya haal bana kar rakha hai apna ? kya hua tumhe Nandini ?

Hearing the name Nandini from Navya (who was seated there) Manik was confused and turned the chair facing Navya.

To his shock he saw the girl whom he pushed in a hurry.

Navya : come sit.

Nandini turned her face to see her advocate to say sorry and she found Manik there.

Nandini - Tummm ! {really loud} yeh yah ape kya kar raha hai navya ?

Navya - yeh tumhare advocate hai ! tum inhe jaante hai ?

Nandini - yeh mera advocate. Then chalo Navya, mujhe aise advocate nahi chahiye.

Manik was shocked at such a decision of Nandini, he got up from his chair and ran upto her.
