Chapter 13

What she felt for him , it was real ,the warm summer nights , the endless conversations , the laughter they shared

The destiny had finally got their souls together !

She slowly walked into her room and seeing the mirror , the smug on her face wasn't leaving , while manik crashed on his bed , looking at his vintage watch yet again .

His watch wasn't an ordinary piece , it was a unique piece

Manik walked from corner to another corner of his bedroom scratching his mind on his plan for tomorrow

He knew nandini loved stars and he himself wasn't a bit less lover of them

Probably the moment when she was drunk in that 1 week and they lay on the car was when he fell for her .

Yaa , he did !

There on the other hand , nandini opened her box , which consisted of her favorite gifts

Her mother's diary , her father's pen and manik's gift

She still didn't know why she had kept his gift there , probably because she loved it or maybe because she hadn't figured out the gift till now !

There lay in her hands the third piece of the beautiful pocket watch in the country and she had done every possible research of what a masterpiece that watch was !

She opened the top lid and looked at every possible corner of it again and slowly kissed it

Suddenly she realized what she did !

Had she really fallen for manik ? Would he ever love her back if she did ? He was her brother's bestie would that ever work ?

A gazillion questions on her mind transitioned.

Finally she slept off , with the watch in her hands , just to wake up suddenly early morning at 4 when she felt something on watch with her fingers

She touched the back of the lid again.

Shit! she shouted

Running to switch on the light to see what that was!

Before manik left for the concert and nandini was drunk

Manik - nandini , come here with me straight away or I'll

Nandini -u'll what ? she spoke holding his collar tightly , looking straight into his eyes

Manik - come here ..he dragged her to his making her sit on the car bonnet

Nandini - manik , you know tomorrow is my birthday ! yess ...she started shouting on the top of her voice and running around .."you know its my 20^th b'day tomorrow "

Manik had to literally lift her in the caveman style and lay her on the car top

While he tried to find water , he realized she was engrossed in seeing stars

She looked beautiful, the kind of beautiful where someones genuinety captures your heart

He lay on the car top with her, both silently watching the shimmering light of the stars above

" manik , there are sooo beautiful na "

"hmmm"

" I feel calm seeing them "

He looked at her , probably for the first time , he felt the need for someone that day . He felt as if he wanted someone to be there for him every day every moment .

"manik ...are you even listening " saying that she shook him

"kya hua ?' she asked innocently , the drink that acted on her innocence and amplified it even more he thought

"I feel as if there's something missing in me "

Missing ?

Yaa

Does it feel like a void in your heart manik ?

Hmm

She instantly propped her head on his shoulder

"You know I have solution to your problem " "tum naa humesha mere saath raho ...n I'll ever shine for you "

That moment for him was a promise

A promise she had made to him to be there for him , forever

And before lying to sleep manik had promised himself to tell her what actually was missing off him

She smiled remembering the conversation

Sooo ...that was the answer !

She instantly kept the watch on the bed and was swinging and dancing all around the room with happiness

The happiness that day knew no bounds for her

Probably it might sound like crazy to be dancing at 4 am in the morning like she was, jumping around the entire room .

But that's how the moment is !

Is there anything more magical in this entire world than the exact moment when you realize you're in love with someone ?

That split second high of sweet epiphany when you remember their eyes and see home

When it dawns you that there , in their arms , you're safe and loved .

Nothing quite like it , ever .

While she twirled in the room beautifully finally for knowing she had fallen for someone

Or rather that someone had fallen for her too !!!

The pocket watched ticked 4:30 Am ...with the back of lid reflecting the light of the words carved there

The words reflecting his missing " Tu me manques "
