chapter - 14
"Nandini ...itni subah subah , kya kar rahi ho ?"
Cabir said , walking on the terrace like a zombie woken from a 100 year sleep
Only to rub his eyes to his sister playing the guitar at 6 in the morning.
"this girl has gone crazy . do all lovers do all these stupid things ?" remembering how Manik during concert would drag them all out at 5 just cause he couldn't get any sleep !
He blabbered "god! now these two have fallen in love , why should I bear the wrath ! "
He felt like punching bag , his bestie on one side on one side and his sister on another , both would end up screwing him over this new found feelings with their singing and problems !
He plucked ear plugs into his ears and went away , seeing that his sister was too engrossed to even hear him .
Nandini excitedly made coffee but got disheartened thinking now Manik won't be coming home
She texted him "good morning ! "
His smile was one to die for , had Nandini seen it as he woke up to her message
" well, now that you're the first thing in the morning that happened to me , the day will indeed be good *wink*"
He got up and readied himself, signing a few documents for Nyonika and then dropping in texts to fab5 as he had to travel far and wouldn't make it to college today .
Nandini was upset that she wouldn't be seeing Manik today , but the excitement and the butterflies for the evening were too difficult .
She stood in front of the mirror trying out all the dresses she had in her wardrobe for Manik had promised to pick her up at 4 in the evening as the place they had to visit seemed to be far away .
Or he said so .
Finally it was around 3:30 when Nandini had gotten ready in a beautiful white knee length delicate lace white dress which fitted her petite figure just perfectly and walking in to the living room in her simple off white cute bow pumps she saw her brother looking at her as if he had just seen a ghost and stood there at the door from where he had just entered the house .
Her face was flushed red , thinking about what she was gonna say about "the date ", although Manik had assured he would talk to Cabir himself .
She looked up after a minute , to find the same expression on Cabir's face
"bhai !!!"
"you're looking really good today "he said smiling
She bit her cheek to lessen the blush creeping on her face .
"umm...Manik told me ...about it , just make sure you stay with him as it' ll be late I guess "
Nandini wondered what was the surprise thinking that Cabir knew about it sort of and he had allowed Manik for a very late date night as she seemed to conclude!
She hugged Cabir
"I will , I will stick around him "
"hmm"
Cabir probably thought that's how he should deal with this now , he knew what was planned and the surprise had shocked him to extends that he couldn't believe it . He knew this was definitely his own sister's best night of her life .
He smiled and got up and left seeing Nandini wait for Manik on the door .
Nandini was fiddling with her purse watching for Manik , she had stuffed the pocket watch in to the purse diligently and the excitement shone on her face .
Just then Manik walked , in a black tee and jeans . He looked charming and absolutely hot with his hair messed up as usual and swayed Nandini off her feet as he walked towards her .
Manik's pov
She looked ethereal in the white dress , an angel down to the earth . My eyes were mesmerized seeing the excitement on her face.
I was looking in her eyes , probably I could drown in them ,someday forever
Maybe she had figured it out .or maybe she hadn't!??
I offered her my hand and she held it tightly
Her hands like a jigsaw puzzle to mine
I smiled as I led her to the car and got her seated and drove
All the while, we both were dropping hints and teasing each other about the date .
I was finally sure that the moment had come .before I got down the car , I punched into my twitter the update I wanted to make since forever
" Her eyes' re ablaze in my flame "
Chapter 15
She said
...but I'm a tsunami and I will let you down
He said
..I can swim against your current cause I'm not afraid to drown
I offered her my hand and she slowly got down from the car
"Nandini , it's a surprise sooo"
"Should I close my eyes ?" she asked innocently , such a baby .."My cute lil baby " I corrected myself
"hmm " I smirked , holding her hand tightly and walking her up to the back of my farmhouse
My farmhouse had a huge water body on its back and that's where the date was tonight .
Our date
I saw once around , just to see how perfect the preparations were !
Just the way I had wanted this moment to be
She was standing with her hand in mine , eyes closed and the background just a perfect contrast to her white dress
I had finally made sure of the picture perfect date setting for my girl
Yes ! my girl
"Manik , are we there ?" she asked
"hmm ...open your eyes "
No one's pov
Nandini opened her eyes to one of the most beautiful scenery she had ever seen .
Each part of her visual screamed of beauty
There she stood in front of A SEA OF STARS , with Manik on one knee with the pocket watch in his hand , which he had slowly slithered form her purse .
She couldn't word what a beautiful picture it was , Manik was all eyes for her , while the background shone
I loved most about us
Was the way we could?
Lose ourselves
In each other
Over and over again
"Nandini murthy , I can never forget the first time I met you ! Each moment further was special and today ,in front of this sea of stars that's shining in the water and a million lights in the sky , I promise to be there with you ...forever !
Because I love you and ..."
Before he could complete she spoke " I am your missing piece ! "
He smiled, getting up and slowly holding her by her waist and lifting her up in his arms in the air
She was smiling and her suppressed giggles could be heard in front of the beautiful pool in which Manik had with all the hard work researched a method to produce the sea of stars , the florescent lights shining the waters and blending into the beautiful dark starry night .
He gathered stars
In a butterfly net
Sewed them as sequins
On her little white dress
For tonight she , would be
The center of his universe
He was smiling the widest, when he suddenly caressed her face , while her forehead was touching his
The breaths intermingled and the stars rejoiced as their lips finally met !
He kissed her and proved to himself that it was possible to have everything he had ever wanted out of life all at once !
.Just in that one kiss.
Their kiss was soulful , he was coloring her in his every bit of existence , his shades of loves , his hues of adoration and a tint of passion , while she got branded for life and sung to eternity .
He briskly put her down , slowly looking at her .
As they stood on the edge , the back lights shone on her and she looked heavenly
" you know , you look soo beautiful tonight "
One look at you and I knew that if the stars could name themselves the entire sky would be on fire with yours

She blushed a small tint , while her stomach crumbled and crushed the juices inside due to excitement .
She slowly putting her hand on his chest softly, kissed his cheek , while Manik stood stunned with the move .
His cheek burned with sensations, like a burn which he wished be ablaze every moment.
By then Nandini had moved close to his ear and whispered,
Maniks heartbeats were zenith with ecstasy
"I love you too , Manik "
The minute I heard my first love story , I started to find you
Not knowing how blind I was
Lovers don't finally meet somewhere,
They're in each other all along
Saying that she hugged him tightly , snuggling onto his chest
Manik slowly gathered her arms and let her snuggle her face onto his chest as he moved and both stood hand in hand watching the sea of stars together , kissing each other , hugging and laughing !
We all just want someone who gives us butterflies of excitement, when we think about them
and escape the cold realities of the realm by curling up together and
Embracing love in our little world
On that's how the time stood still
Them loving each other every moment of their lives , just like this moment
A moment in front a billion lights illuminating the fire of love that they shared , which in all the time would only grow , grow into a beauty that world would always talk of !
And they both remained each other missing pieces, completing each other very second of each other's life
Tu me Manques - she was his missing part and he hers
Love is perhaps the only emotion that transcends time and space .
Manik and Nandini had found that one , a true one as pure as water , where the other would stare into their soul when they let out their deepest cries .Their hands found each other and the dark and their arms encompassed the other when needed .
Their love was such -
The world could be wrapped in hurricanes, yet somehow in each other's arms , all would be quiet and calm

Love is seeing all the flaws and blemishes and accepting them. Love is accepting the habits and working around them . Love is recognizing all the fears and insecurities yet giving the comfort .
