These gaes were his way of communicating with her and to give her hope, make her fight for them. Just like during first break time, he throws a challenge to distract confused Nandu, here he did the same to get Nandu out of the gloom. Concert deadline was just a plaything but Nandu took it on facevalue because thats how she bases her hopes and survival instincts . He was enjoying the attention and they actually revisited the basic cruz of their bond-trust, need, care, love through this journey. Games, challenges are their MO, they will have it all their life. But the moment Dhruv entered and Nandini lost all hope and had that defeat seeping in her voice, thats when manik stepped up and realized that his girl has taken it too seriously. he dropped all the games and picked her battles because thats what they do, take the mattle when one falls short and fight their battle. He realized that even with taking away the games , Nandu will be sad because her hope of them singing together is a symbolic gesture . he wants to give her that assurance and protect her hope, smile and happiness. Meanwhile by being together he is telling her that games never mattered, he was all hers without it too. But because Nandu is fearful , she needs that hope, that gesture to protect herself, his presence and them together is her assurance to herself , so even though they know the concert is not a validator for them yet they both are fighting for it because their love deserves that shot. That moment where they overcome all their fears, doubts and sing two different notes, making one musical tie. Defining the love. Statement at world and to themselves that this is where they belong. All these problems are small rehash of what they have struggled against and now together they will overcome and make their love untainted of any such shadow.

But how can you relate Nandini's lack of trust on Manik with Manik-Nandini's compatibility in singing a duet!!

I mean Manan's foundation was shaky and wobbly I get it...nnow if they can sing togtehr how can the foundation gets improved...

for example...take Parth and Niti for example...when they are together on screen they create magic but does this mean that this compatibility they have with each other can be used to measure their compatibility in real life ???

Manik and Nandini are fundamentally similar yet their ways of handling things are different. Just like two different musical notes. Guitar and Veena. So the whole game was a way of them finding their balance which they have now through these games - they know they belong together but now Nandini wants to attest it further as a symbol of them by including the 3rd element of their love-music which will join their two distinct approach towards music/life and create that perfect melody/tie/balance which gives new foundation to their relationship.

She might be disappointed but they have come a long way to realize that there is not other way but to be with each other . If in hate they cannot part then well disappointment be another challenge they face together. Any which way, they are fated.
