Like I said in my 2nd post on the last page, Manik and Nandini defined love as trust, if there's even a a tiny crack in the trust, means No love for Manik << So that's how trust forms the be all and end all for their love while it's not generally so. Love is much more than a one-off betrayal of trust for many other people.

My reason for giving the above example repeatedly is to try to make you understand that Music is a thing which both Manik and Nandini hold dear and close to their hearts. They value it highly, so Nandini followed by Manik too, has set up their concert performance as their own personal goal which they just need to achieve to make themselves and their relationship feel complete. It's not that the concert will provide any strength to their bond, because we all know it's already strong enough which they both know as well. But the concert will only give satisfaction and peace to them, knowing that they have been able to match each other musically as well (reference to the tie that Manik gifted her) So the concert is like that tie, it will join their musical notes to make one, that's why they are putting all their heart into this concert.
