Not surprised though if Hamida is serious and wants Jodha's conversion. It is more like a new strategy where the opposition in Agra palace is shared and not focused on Ruky alone so that the viewers would not be irritated by her constant plotting.

It could be also that she and Jodha can team up so Jalal would be distracted from the war. Either way it will only convey a message of weakness to the opponent which Akbar is not ready to do so that in the future no tom or duck would just get up and order him around. I like his stand.

It is an interesting situation and watching carefully how it would end. Though keeping expectation low as the writers starts well and forgets where they are going in the middle of episodes or try to abandon the idea and lunch on another idea totally.

Bea,

HB is really serious this time. It will be quite out of place, if this is shown as a plan of HB-Jodha now. I want Jalal to proceed with a no non sense approach. HB's stand is bound to present a weak opposition to Shah i Iran. I also guess, Jodha will agree to conversion at HB's insistene. Lets hope Jalal is not shown agreeing with the idea. I want that decree to be used, even if it is used in a passing reference.

I totally disagree with HB perspective, yes the Shah father help u in the pass, but this son tell himself that he can dictate what goes on in another kingdom.

Even if Jodha Change her Religion, what next, what will he demand next, there comes a time when a king has to stand up and be who he is. An Emperor.

I know HB is trying to save a relation but at what cost, you cannot force someone to accept a religion, She is just being emotional and not thinking practically .

This track is shaping up quite good, let's see how far they take it.

Right.
There is no guarantee he will stop his demands now. Already it was shown, Iranian ruler is interested in reversing the liberal policies of Akbar. There has to be a line drawn, now.

Glad to see, episode was liked. I was sure about it. Hope this presentation continues, even if it comes in a few political tracks its needed, because in future, when we get to watch the CORE religious issues, we need him taking a strong stand.

Thank you dear @akdhaalways. I have two of them and they are absolutely precious.
Their love is priceless. It is unconditional and does not ask for anything major, in return excepting a scratch behind their ears and my presence around them. They have a knack to uplift my spirits just with a wag of their healthy tails.

There is a lot that humans can learn from them.

Actually whatever happened in history, the CVs can't show conversion of Jodha because that would mean Jalal accepting "defeat" and "bowing down" to Shah-i-Iran.

The CVs like to show that everything is going against Jalal (andJodha) and they literally claw their way back from the brink of annihilation for maximum impact. We saw this in the God track also where Jalal was hated a lot by the people and he had to go to great lengths (even get whipped) to get his authority over people back. The same tactic is being used again.

Everyone will want Jodha to convert for various reasons. The awaam will turn against Jalal and Jodha. Then in the very end, Jalal will be shown to emerge victorious with a rousing speech.

Since the CVs are not shying away from the religious angle, I wish they had had the courage to show a passing reference at least to Ibadat Khana, religious discussions with people of various faiths etc.

May be it can be shown as part of NR that in order to put down the Shah-i-Iran, Akbar started the haj pilgrimage from Surat via the Arabian Sea and sent royal women on the first pilgrimage by sea.

Radhika and Harshu,

Even in history, i have not read about any explicit conversion of Jodha after coming under pressure. Had i read, i would have shared already. You know one thing, Royalty is very particular about the Aan Baan Shaan. And one, can not FORCE them to do any thing. Pyaar se karva lo to alag baat hai, but if someone forces them to do something, it is never possible. Same is the case here. By using force Iranian ruler can not achieve anything.

About the religious discussions track, CV's have not entered that track yet. I am beginning to get their methodology. They take one thing at a time.

First :
1. God Track.
2. Shah-i-Iran Track.

Now, they are going for some VK track.
And after that we can expect

3. religious discussions type thing .

Though, in reality, 1, 2 and 3 happened simultaneously. But, CV's have shown them as separate tracks. So, it will all come, i guess, but slowly. They add fictional tracks also in between. What you all think ?

actuly d prob wid d cvz are d lack of creativity I mean approp dramatization i.e.NR d thng is dey are v enthu 2 strt a track bt wen it cums 2 propr xecution der creativity lacks...dey may strt wid gd note bt at d end dey themselves frgt wat were dey showing wat hd 2 b shown or wat has 2 b shown...regarding religious debate I hav a doubt whthr dey wil cum up wid dis track or nt cz aftr dis iranis track d vishkanya track wil cum I dnt find ny link wid d currnt track dnt evn knw y are dey introducing such irrelevant fictional tracks out of d blue...as u said abhay religious discussions and d othr tracks I mean god track and irani one happnd or shold happn simultaneously bt d cvs are alwyz distracted frm der aim so I m skeptical abt it...yesrtdy's epi I saw and ws sumwat irritated wid hamida's bhaviour I cnt understd her charctr y is she alwyz flexible... I nevr found ny far sightedness in her charctr jst on d basis of prsnt situation she gives her opinion...nw also rite frm d beginning she ws in support of jalal and ws angst d conversn of jodha bt suddenly out of d blue nw she is feeling sad fr d relations btw d 2 kingdoms... I m really amazed I thnk dis she shold hav thght abt it rite in d strting of d track...ws she sleeping fr so mny dayz dat it dint struck her abt d same... nywyz I knw jalal wil defintly support jodha and nt allow her conversn...and as in yesrtdy's epi ws saw jalal v politely he gav his reply 2 his mother saying dis time he wont listen 2 hr advice...I hope jodha doesn't fall prey fr dis conversn tactic of hamida and she 2 supports her husband and stands fr her rights for remaining a hindu... Abhay,

Finally got a chance to watch today's episode. Spent a good part of the evening, at the Vets office tending to my dog's injured paw.

Today's episode was an awesome one. Saw the Shehenshah in action after a long time. This is the Akbar that I have been wanting to see since ages. Liked the NR too. I am hoping for this trend to continue.

There are a couple of scenes that stood out today.

The scene where Sharifuddin's father received a punishment befitting his crime was a very good one. A quietly furious Jalal capturing the old man and unflinchingly drowning him forcibly, for attempting to kill his Jodha Begum was a treat to watch. I did not feel an ounce for sympathy for Mehtaab's grandfather who had unhesitatingly advised his son to get rid of the innocent infant for no fault of hers.

That Salim loves and respects his parents was clearly visible today. He is upset with them, finds it hard to communicate with and relate to them, behaves inappropriately with them while under the influence of 'ammijaan' and 'afeem', yet holds them in high esteem. It is the affection for his mother that made him inquire about her well being. The manner in which he reassured his worried mother, citing his father's prowess as an able warrior stood out today. His confident words were uttered in a measured tone, almost immediately after Jodha expressed her worry about Jalal's whereabouts. I maybe wrong but I noticed a tinge of sadness and regret in Jalal's face, while conversing with Salim. I felt that the father in Jalal knows that he has unwillingly hurt his son. I loved the scene that had father, mother and son in it. For once, they had a normal conversation without fighting.

The scene between Hamida Begum and Jalal where she is quoting examples from the past to convince Jalal not to enter war with the Shah of Iran was a great one. Loved Jalal's conviction when he very calmly, firmly and politely tells his mother that he will not tolerate the Shah's manipulative tactics in his personal matters, anymore, He clearly tells his mother that it is wrong to force anyone to accept Islam against their wishes and to do so would be an insult to Islam itself. I loved Jalal's firm stand in the matter of religion. I am also surprised to see that the Creatives did not shy away from showcasing a sensitive issue like this. Both mother and son were good in that scene.

The scene where Jalal tells Jodha that he is knowingly pitting the three brothers against each other in the battlefield hoping that they will learn to help each other made me feel sad for Jalal. He is fully aware of Murad's lack of experience and shortcomings in the battlefield even though he had to declare him Saha-i-shah due to tricky circumstances. He is hoping that Murad will learn war strategies from Salim who has been trained by Raja Maan Singh and Rahim.

I have intentionally not discussed Rukaiyya's character. Like she herself said today, she doesn't have to do much to cause Jodha trouble. External forces are doing the job for her. How much more can the Creatives stoop in degrading her character.

The plot is moving well and I hope that the Creatives do not attempt to include any of the daily soap theme suddenly into the storyline and ruining the effect.

Charu,
Very Nice summary. :D

Though, i am picking up the portion where you mentioned Salim.
Don't you think, CV's will NOT show Salim revolting against Akbar.
And, neither will Akbar come to the stage of punishing Anar.

I feel, Anar will "herself" go away from Salim's life and Salim will miss her simply for some time and later be fine. I don't think there would be an open revolt of Salim. Actually, the image of Akbar is such in the show, he can not shown punishing Anar. What you think ?

very power pack episode, like the way jalal worry for jodha weel and almost ignoring ruq, when salima told him that the poison meant for jodha he run away from there to check his belove begum, and how he ask moti to make sure jodha safety.

like father like son i guess this sharif dad not learn from mistake that no one can mess with jodha, jalal will destroy everyone and everything who try to harm jodha.

poor jodha now her religion make a huge problem for her sometimes i feel sorry for her because she is really a kind heart human being but God give her so much trouble and pain 🥱, but what i like is that everytime jodha and jalal got tested by huge problem they become close and the relationship become strong, just like in God track how jodha support jalal no matter what and help him to gain back the people trust and now jalal support jodha and defend her from people who want to make jodha convert her religion, jodha and jalal are the strength to each other, they become the rock for each other, and these day these two spend time together a lot, and couple time jodha come to jalal and help him to dress up or help him change dress 😉, and today in chess scene they are spend time again 😃

Ndi,
Entire post is interesting. But the essence are the words i turned in bold. Had the CV's sticked to this point even in those times, after the death of twins , H and H, and shown both of them together an some trips and pilgrimages, it would have been a great track. Anyways, they are trying now also to restore the damage. Hope they succeed. Track is going great till now . :D

So far how Anar and Akbar is portrayed, I agree with you Abhay..Anar so far has been within her limits and always reminding Salim about his duty to Man Bhai and that she cannot take man Bhai place etc. Second this Akbar cannot just order death punishment to Anar. Something else has to happen.

So far I too think Anar Will juts go off on her own. If not May be Ruks may be up to something. She can do anything and so far the most shrewd person who can do anything and get away easliy. May be a possibility she can Plot and JJ fall into her trap and MU ANar. Kuch bhi ho saktha hai.

Yesterday Jalal said, who ever eyes his family, they will not be spared. The first person who came into my mind then was Ruks.. JJ main problem with Salim is all because of Ruks. what to do, JJ and Salim are unaware/ignorant about this.😭

Yes they are pure souls, capable of giving unconditional love. No mattter who ever goes against you, your dog will never leave your side, all they want is love, cuddling. And give lifelong faithfullness in return.Whenever after a hectic day I return home, and my dog just runs to hug me my cat extends her armas indicating I have to take her in my lap, it wipes off the tiredness, and I feel loved. Such precious is their company.😊
