shivi very well said👏..i too like noor and yes she was very intelligent and ambitious but greedy..i do not think so..she did love salim as she limited his drinking to few glasses per day and also fought with him in public when he demanded more and if she was not concerned about his health why would she even bother!

I agree. Though Jodha's ghrina was a bit repetitive, it suited her. Anarkali doesn't have areason to begin with and lacks that other wordliness of beauty (exactly like Madhubala like you mentioned) that will make a prince go against his Emperor father. She's cute but that's about it.

And Salim (whatever I have seen of him) needs to work on his dialogue delivery, his diction, his voice and acting skills too... May be Rajat Tokas has ruined me for anybody else in a royal role..

yes i think that salim and noor have quite an interesting love story ... and it can be quite a treat to watch salim and noor teenage romance as well as mature romance. not on this show ofcourse , this show is a mess... and i dont know y people here like to manipulate history to suit their purposes... 😆

Next, I agree completely with your last sentence, except that I do not know why that is so. See, Jodha Akbar was prime TV property and it must have been raking in the moolah. Now, 2 of
Ekta's new shows, each of which I watched for 2 weeks before dumping it, Ajeeb dastaan hai yeh and Itna karo na mujhse pyaar, with well known actors in the cast -Ronit Roy in the latter- seem to have crashed and burned. The latter had only 1.9 TRP last week, whereas even Ronit's tired old Adaalat had 2.5!

Perhaps there are other new ones from their stable that have done very well. I do not know as I watch very few serials. But I have not heard of any major hits from Balaji last year. So it is not that Balaji has had huge successes with their new shows, and can afford to neglect their old hit serial.

Given this, why do they seem hellbent on sinking their prime product? A great mystery.

As for the prospects of the Salim-Anarkali track, I rate them very low, hairdresser or no hairdresser. That girl is stuck on badmouthing Shehzaade and Shahenshah like an LP stuck in the wrong place. And I have serious doubts about any major improvement in this Salim. So, I am soon going to be reduced to fast forwarding the "young love" segments and watching only the "old shoe love" parts. 😉

Incidentally, I learnt today that only the first few minutes of the episode and the last few minutes count for the TRPs. No wonder the Jalal-Jodha scenes are pasted in at the beginning and the end, especially the precap!😉😉

The show is rocking nowadays, salim-anarkali brings live to the show. Due to them, I am back to watching JA.yes, it still missed sv magic. Hope, he comeback to the show.
