I have not watched the latest episode of Siyaasat, Mandy my dear, but I still cannot get over Salim poisoning his father and getting off scot free. Never. I do not care how good Noorjahan is, this Salim is damned forever as far as I am concerned. And it is not as though he is a great actor who can make even weak villainy seem watchable. While the script is complex, realistic and thus very interesting, Akbar the actor has nothing of the majesty the script, and the splendid Abul Fazl, invest him with. He looks very commonplace. The Pasha Begum is a wonderful character, but again, the looks do not match this. But I must say she grows on one, and I loved the way she got her own back so effortlessly against the crude, arrogant and terminally stupid Jagat Gosain.

Here, Rajat's Akbar looks wonderful and for the most part acts with amazing grace and subtlety, but he is continually shortchanged, and very badly, by the script, and his co-actors are the limit these days. I have never before seen such tasteless and hysterical muck and such untrammelled hamming in Jodha Akbar as was shown last night.

All of us stay on for Rajat, but of late we have to suffer thru too much to get thru to him. So what does one do?

shyamla my dearest i am trying my best to make myself watch the crap show named jodha akbar..ab to naam se hi chidd hoti hai..after watching siyaasat..entry of noor jahan..the passionate love..behtareen adaakari..flawless direction..interesting script and somewhat related to history and not entirely fiction and even if is still how beautifully it is presented!..shyamala in that show Akbar the great is shown great for a reason..he is kept on a pedestal where noone can reach..so much respect and affection shown towards him..abul fazal the learned man is his die hard admirer..jahan pana ka mureed..aur kiss baat ka mureed..his highness ki greatness ka..and what royal aura that show has and in jodha akbar i hear MUZ the great is pushing Akbar the great🤣..every tom dick and harry is threatening the emperor..and salim miyaji ke kya kehne..ek shakal buri..doosri acting buri..teesra role ka na head na tail..!
