My dear AKT.JA, and all the other young ladies here,

Did I not tell you so? So much for Mansi and Jalal's much anticipated tedapan! Pages and pages of vain hope and convoluted arguments to buttress it, and then what do we get?

A Shahenshah Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar that anyone with an IQ of 60 would regard with patent disdain.

This major letdown for the true believers in the Zee Oracle only reinforces my constant refrain: Do NOT waste time and money calling Zee.

To revert, after looking at him follow his devious Nigar aapa into the mehfooz jagah, like Mary's little lamb, I have come to the conclusion that this Jalal deserves every bit of the whipping/thrashing that Abul Mali's henchmen give him. I do not feel an iota of compassion for him. He needs more of it, not that even that will set right what passes for his brains. The startled gasp and look he gave when informed that his harem was going to be lootofyed made me laugh, when I actually wanted to climb the nearest wall.

That was not all, either, not by a long chalk. I do not know about you, but I got an overdose of Rajat's scrunching up his nose to convey fury.

And then, in a broad remix of Dharmendra's patented Kutte, kaminey, main tera khoon pi jaunga! (Sholay again!) Jalal tells Abul Mali at least 3 times that he will not baksh him this time. If he had used the time consumed by these mock furious utterances to drive his shamsheer aar paar thru Abul Mali's body, the whole tale would have changed 180 degrees.

But no, this Jalal talks and talks, and does nothing but get hit on the head.

Sandhya my pet, the 1988 Mahabharata was produced and directed by BR Chopra, Yash Chopra's elder brother. As for yesternight's ludicrous war scenes - what has the fight director reduced even
Rajat to?😭 - I was watching the current Mahabharata immediately after Jodha Akbar to soothe my lacerated nerves, though the looming death of young Abhimanyu makes me quail and want to run away from the TV.

Now I hear that we are going to have a petticoat war complete with mirchi powder. No, no, please do not compare this new absurdity with the marvellous Mirch Masala!

My dear,

I need not say that I agree with you 100%.

But as for the addendum, that would work only if the new Sholay remix promo is Abul Mali's fantasy. I hope it is.

Plus, the CVs constant endeavour is to promote Jodha's hunars. I doubt if they are going to let Jalal win this one all on his own. Let us see.

Now that the mirchi war will be over, the next war will be jhadoo special.

The Agra men will adopt pardah and decorate the harem with the now useless weapons and our great women will beat the next dushman who challenges the Mughal Sultanat shaan with their jhadoos.

Elephants will be given on rent for temple functions and horses for baraats. The shamsheers will all be donated to the kitchens and the canons will be installed in the Angoori Bagh for children to play upon and ocassionally to udaofy the innocent men who are falsely accused of molestation by the great women.

Hail feminism ( with my right hand outstretched-nazi style )

So do I, like Donjas' posts, I mean, but this time, I would go completely with Cleo.

The part in blue is spot on. The really horrible thing about the Holocaust was that the Nazi machine converted mass murder into an industrial assembly line exercise, topped off with the unimaginable bestiality of men like Josef Mengele. I loved the scene at the end of The Boys from Brazil, where he is mauled to death by a pack of guard dogs, egged on by one of Hitler's clones manufactured by Mengele.

Besides, when one goes to war, one has to fight and either disable or kill the enemy soldiers if one is not to end up dead oneself, and lose the war to boot. I do not see why a solider has to be automatically branded as a jallad, as stated by Jalal and accepted by Jodha. Did Sujamal not fight to kill the Mughal defenders of Mewat? And that was NOT a defensive war like this, but a battle for conquest pure and simple. Did that make him a jallad or a heartless beast? What nonsense!

Moreover, Akbar too did undertake many more wars of conquest after 1563, which is where we are, and none of them, to the best of my knowledge, were purely defensive like this one. And that too with the dil jo aapne humein diya hai , safely tucked away in his manly bosom! 😉But then when did this serial ever make any sense?

Talking of Dharm Paaji's patented Kutte, kaminey, main tera khoon pi jaunga! (Sholay again, like the precap showing Jalal hung up like Veeru in the film) , there was a broad remix of that last night when Jalal tells Abul Mali at least 3 times that he will not baksh him this time. If he had used the time consumed by these mock furious utterances to drive his shamsheer aar paar thru Abul Mali's body, the whole tale would have changed 180 degrees.

Donjas, I like your positivity and your calling a spade a spade attitude😊 ..

I haven't watched the episode but based on the updates i hv read, this body armour dialogue is nothing but a dialogue( like Dharmendra's ku***, main Tera khoon pee jaaunga ...we know that our Dharam paaji is no vampire )

Jalal...a man who has shed more than a thousand cusecs of tears in the past year( they'll need a Dam in Agra soon) turns into a Jallad in a matter of minutes is one more example of character inconsistencies shown in the show...he isn't bipolar and doesn't suffer from multiple personality disorder ...the only reason I am commenting on your post is because i feel that that this kind of inconsistency can not be explained scientifically( I worship science)...treat it like just another JA dialogue.

I do agree that external factors play an important role in human psychology. But I don't believe all the "studies" and " experiments" which claim that uniforms can be blamed for crimes against humanity during the 2nd world war...even if it is published work...I think you are talking about the Stanford prison experiment by Philip Zimbardo...this experiment had so many flaws...it is called "bias" in biostatics...and I refuse to believe that it can be applied to general population or even the Nazis...certainly not to Akbar. The kind of crimes that were committed by the Nazis, especially the ones committed on kids in the name of " medical experiments" can be called nothing but sadistic cruelty...it takes predisposition towards violence, years of brainwashing, ethnic hatred and just plain sick mind to do that...what Josheph Mengele did in Auschwitz is unimaginable...Their personalities did not change by wearing a uniform...The uniform gave them a license to do what they always wanted to do.

This is different from Akbars case who was a warrior trained to kill the enemy in battlefield... Not a sadist abuser like Nazis...or the " biased" 24 subjects in Zimbardo's study.

I am not saying that the " uniform effect" is a myth...it can somewhat explain a warrior's performance in battlefield...though it does not convert a emotionally weak person into a heartless beast in a heartbeat...it certainly does not lead to psychopathic sadistic brutality.

Great to see you back and posting.

Jalal raised a very interesting point today, that he would become a Jallad once he wore the body armour, then he would spare no one.

I know this to be true. Psychologists have often wondered why so many good people in Germany committed horrific atrocities during the 2nd world war. One explanation is that once they wore their uniform their personality underwent a change. This was confirmed by the famous prison experiments of the 1970's.

In this experiment a group of students was divided into two groups, prison guards and prisoners. The prison guards were given uniforms and the authority of their real life counterparts. Very soon in the experiment, the Prison guard students got into their role and started abusing the prisoner students, the experiment had to be called off early because of the extant of the abuse.

Right from Tasneem track, it has been Jodha, the Great all the way. And all of the greatness has been achieved at the expense of Akbar. 😡
So now she will motivate the harem and save her Pati as she is Rajvanshi who is the shakthi of her pati and it is her kartavya to do so.
But this mahaanta crap won't end here. Somebody will kick Jo in the tummy. The colour vomit specialist Hakima Saahiba will declare that Jo will have to be kept happy for safe pregnancy and hence Tansen will be called. Jalal will cry buckets and tanks and will whip himself for being 'nakamiyaab' in the 'hifazat' of his begamat and waaris and Jo has to undergo such pains due to him.
I seriously can't handle such crap. I am skipping the coming week.
