Auntyji,

I suppose its all in the delivery with how it comes across. In those previous posts the way you mentioned it came across as fun loving and carefree...even the comments about Bharmal , Mainavati..etc...and looking the way they do ever disparaged their physical appearance, it was just your opinion on how they come across in the role they play...

BUT I found it to be entirely different in your delivery with the way you commented about Paridhi's looks...you have to admit the post was definitely not fun loving and sweet like many of your posts...in fact even in the ones where you are venting you haven't commented on an actors looks quite the same way from what I can remember off the top of my head. The acting is obviously open to commenting on,

WHICH is why I wanted to point out to you how it came across to me when I read this particular post. There never was any intention on my part to report it, so no I"m not taking the bait so to speak to take that course of action.

Furthermore, I seem to always get this underlying feeling of antagonism from you which is why I had not commented on any of the previous many posts...for instance just from the delivery in your comments you have basically stated that you do not believe I have read all of your posts and you have also put words in my response by stating that I claimed to not like them (which I bolded in below) . Not agreeing with your comments is very different to not liking them.

I'm not sure where this negativity towards my posts comes from, however; what I can say is that it is definitely coming from your end, while I made very attempt to be respectful when crafting my post in this thread.

I"m not sure if I have gotten this line right but I"ll attempt it anyways ...

"Je humse koi bol hogay hai, phir hum maufi chathe hai...nadani samaj ke...mauf kar do? "

I wouldn't mind getting back into the mood in responding to your threads...but as of right now I"m not sure if that would be a wise course of action on my part...

I'll wait for your response, if you choose to provide one.

Thanks,

Sonya

Dear Sonya,

When Rajat looked flabby to me, in that shirtless lep scene, I said so, and recommended more workouts for him. Now, Paridhi looks overweight to me in that dance scene, and so I say so. She needs to diet for a bit . Yes, it does matter for a dance if you look overweight.

I do not play favorites; I have written that Bharmal looks like a kirana dukanwala and not a raja.

If you feel that these comments of mine are in any way violative of IF rules, please feel free to report them, and me, to the mods.

I was interested to see that in all my 30-40 posts that you claim to have read but not liked, this is the single point that you have thought fit to comment on. '

And no, no one else had protested to me on this point on this thread, and none of Rajat's fiercely committed fans, who abound in this forum, had taken umbrage at my earlier critical comments about his physique either.

At last some logical outrage. I could not believe what she said yesterday, and I was even more dismayed by the way in which the Shahenshah behaved towards the end of the episode, as he was planning to do a Salman Khan in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. I could not believe that either.

And look at it today ! It was 180 degrees apart from the day before, with the broadest of corny comedy tracks, and that too with Jalal taking the lead. It was a relief after the unpleasantness of the previous day, but silly and full of unmistakeable double entendres , exactly what one would expect of a Govinda-Karishma Kapoor comedy scene. Hardly the sort of thing an emperor would indulge in.

God, does it have to be one extreme or the other? Can there be no medium. with a modicum of sense and sensibility? There were some such scenes earlier, very good ones, so it is not that the CVs cannot produce them when they want to. They obviously do not want to right now.

It only goes to show that the writers can only oscillate between one extreme and the other, like a yoyo, and cannot think up something charming and intelligent at the same time. Except once in a way, as at the Kali Mandir or at Ajmer Sharif.

Thank god it was not only me, when everyone else is gushing over this episode
I wanted to puke. Then I realized something I am an ardent history buff and i
Can't see great leaders reduced to such ridiculousness.
Then I realized something else ekta kapoor at the helm of this show despite her many powers respecting history and employing writers who can carry that are not one of them. Might as well give up on this show now if they don't get it now they are not getting it tmr.

How aptly you put the romance was a comedy track it was cringe worthy. Writers on this show have no respect for akbar jodha or ambience of 16th century or decorum. It is not like we are against romance but not laugh worthy scenes that it degrades the characters. I will tell u how they should have modified these scenes. First I have to give credit to another poster for this idea sorry I don't know her name but whoever she is take a bow.

Ok what she said what jalal should have taken Hawaii for a walk, very good idea because then there would be continuity because he had just mentioned he was going to go to him. And then if utsav was taking place outside jalal happens to see jodha then it keeps his dignity and they could have had a romantic stare. Jalal is still pissed at jodha behavior so he walks away. In the alternate universe I live in jodha feels bad about her behavior and comes to him. He doesn't want to talk to her which makes jodha feel bad. But that whole salman khan rendition was just distasteful. It didn't fit the mood or the characterization.

Like you said there have been tolerable romantic scenes before.
Jalal coming to jodha to know meaning of the poem, the arti scene, the sword fight scene, the boat scene and Ajmer sheriff were some good settings for romance.

So lets keep banging our head against the wall. We want to see dignified romance between king and queen.

Oh Aunty! I feel so angry when i'm typing this coment now!!!
Was that even an episode!!!

I might just go n hammer some sense into Jodha' excruciatingly hollow skull!!!
I hate her!! And I hate her ghruna mantra!!!
C'mon she get tired of it!!
Jalal has been giving her a bit too much concession!! She should be kept at 'Chaku ki nokh' till she stops her stupidity!!
I never expected this performance of Paridhi!

& Jalal!!
His Majesty??
Kuch bhi toh majestic nahi tha!!

How the hell does a Shahensha start peeping at the hollow headed, dim-witted girl who insults him time n time again!! Even a begger wudnt do that!!

The bitter coment 'bout the Daya this was... Ok i gues??!!

I never had been so disappointed before! Such a mirage!!
Im shockd, sad n extrmly Mad!!

Ekta kapoor!! Lady! Someday U'll go down the drain!

*NO OFFENSE to Any one*

I agree. It was not nice to see Jalal making "sexual" references at least not at this point in their relationship. It was so out of line. Really liked the 2nd half of the episode , especially how he fooled her because it shows he likes her without losing his dignity or his cunning but not the first half -that was skip worthy. It was almost a relief to see him slam down his shamsheer in the precap.

He finds humour in every situation esp when it comes to Jodha. And it seemed like that was a half-truth. 😆

Time & again, Rajat goes well beyond the script! 👏With his own little added expressions & nuances.

Tokas is having fun with the script.

I wish he is keeping a diary of the shenanigans going on. It would be an interesting read one day 😊

please don't blame Sharma - she's not the writer(s) or director(s) or producer(s).

she's an actress who will carry out the director's/writer's/producer's plans.

that's her job.

and besides, you're assuming that a director/writer/producer will listen to an actor. some enlightened ones will listen to an actor but most won't.

My darling Shymala,

Today's episode was equally bad, esp. those unmistakable double entendres - it was, as if Cvs just watched those 1980s Bolly movies and started shooting the episode right after. The bedroom scenes were disgusting and rather makes Jalal , a Manav and Arjun in the making. Cvs really do not know how to develop a solid storyline of 2 equals but belonging to different status in 16th century India.

Anyway, as for the Mandir scene, I think Cvs didn't have much choice😆. I am sure CVs could have loved to cut Jalal's head off. But then that could distort history to a great extent. But, then they were probably biting their nails, wondering what the outcome could be, after the telecast of that particular episode...Hopefully, not another section of the Indian population were making noises against PH for distorting the image of a Mughal Emperor to such an extend...

Maybe that is all their capable off. There is no creativity to think outside the box. I don't think we are saying that we need to go to Ramayan style romance but also this type of characterization is too distasteful. I am getting sick of sweet jalal. I need a break from this show my frustration is boiling over. I hope sukanya marriage gets canceled and jalal returns to Agra with his brain screwed on. I swear this Amer track has been such a let down. There are plenty of shows on tv to watch where the guy acts like the way jalal did today but I thought this would be different. I am thinking sadly the writer who wrote the script for the jodha akbar movie can he not direct this show.
