i did not refute Heera commanding a cavalry of 12,000. this was the imperial post of highest possible order, and Heera, being a woman and an outsider(Rajput in Mughal household), commanding this post, itself speaks about her dominance. no one can question her influence on akbar.

i stopped reading archives 20 years back. hence could not connect the events with accuracy. but abhay has explained so nicely. i do remember main events but not accurately. your comment on jahanara and roshanara is correct.

loved this one dear. i wanted to write these words to abhay. so i am taking your old post. i am very happy and relieved to see people still having a passion for true history and searching the right sources. the digital medium has destroyed their history to a large extent in the name of communalism. the problem becomes more severe when a few biased historians give wrong information, and try to recreate history.

i remember reading the gov. records with my abbu, in my teens. i am enjoying each page of this thread. it seems i am back into archives. all points are written in an specific manner dedicated only to Akbar and Heera. a great effort.
