Also, some time far back I gave an explanation about the phone number still being in his phone. He also had an old picture of Khushi in his contact system.

I have many old phone numbers and contacts in my phone that are out of date but I have never gotten rid of due to neglect or nostalgia.

Tashi, I doubt this unless Anjali committed suicide after her husband married again.

But Arnav will never do such a thing to Khushi irrespective of the gender of the baby so that may NOT be the reason. I feel baby dying and Anjali couldn't handle it more logical for him to be scared about the babies.

But we never know, our write is expert in throwing new twists and turns...

Oh god maybe that’s why he kept hearing Anjali’s voice over doing the right thing. That was the first thing in his mind when he was driving. It also drove him crazy. Remember his Nepal trip, he sat in so long under snow that people thought he would die of hypothermia 😣😣😣

I am thinking out loud but this may NOT be true. His original decision of divorcing was purely based on he can't give Khushi baby, he distanced himself almost a year ago but adultery happened in Oct 2015 which is 2 months before the Dec 18th, their 10th anniversary when he declared his decision of divorce to Khushi.

So his divorce decision was before and adultery convinced him further and fast tracked it. At least that's how I felt.

Arnav will never remarry if they didn't have a boy. He will be sticking to Khushi and will not listen to his family no matter what. If it was due to baby's gender and family wanted him to remarry, he is educated enough to know baby's gender is decided by a man and NOT a woman.

So this doesn't seem to be the reason for him to be scared of babies and step back.

The egg will always have an X chromosome, so it takes the sperm to determine the baby's sex since sperms are X or Y. XX makes it a girl while XY makes it a bog.

In short fathers determine the sex of the baby and Arnav being an educated science student should know this.

but Anjali’s husband can remarry, they come from village and panchayat system is still very much makes their own rules in their part of village.

Anjali’s husbands remarriage for Arnav meant that he could not save his sister and that can also be the reason of his anger towards his father.

May be something more sinister happened and may be Arnav holds himself responsible for him not having babies.

He blames himself for something that happened to Anjali.

Or may be you are right having babies created so much mess in his sisters life that he was done with one more responsibility specially when it was of a baby.

He is so wary of kids that he could not even hold Leher.
