Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has generated an unprecedented buzz at the box office, impressing both audiences and celebrities with its gripping spy thriller narrative. The film has received glowing reviews from notable personalities, including Vicky Kaushal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Allu Arjun, who seem spellbound by its cinematic excellence. Shraddha Kapoor shared her review of Dhurandhar on Instagram, saying, "Truly terrible of Aditya Dhar to make a film like Dhurandhar," and added, "and then make us wait three months for Part 2. Don’t play with our emotions, prepone the release please. What a phenomenal experience. Subah shoot nahi hoti toh kasam se abhi hi dobara dekhne jaati (had I not had a shoot in the morning, I would have gone again to watch the film). Chhaava, Saiyaara, Dhurandhar — all in 2025 Hindi cinema."
About Dhurandhar
The film Dhurandhar is inspired by real-life incidents and tells the story of a spy who infiltrates Rehman Dakait's gang in Lyari, Pakistan. The spy's mission is to dismantle the gang and gather crucial information about their dealings with the ISI, which is then shared with Indian officials at RAW to help curb terrorism.
Dhurandhar, featuring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan, has crossed ?500 crore worldwide in just 10 days. The film continues to perform well at the box office, with key roles played by Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and Danish Pandor.
Ranveer Singh expressed gratitude for Dhurandhar's success, sharing an Instagram note: "Kismat ki ek bohut khoobsurat aadat hai, ki woh waqt aane par badalti hai… lekin filhal… nazar aur sabr” (Fate has a very beautiful habit — it changes when the time is right, but for now… patience and perspective).
The sequel to Dhurandhar is set to release on March 19, 2026, and will face off against Yash's Toxic: A Fairytale for the Grown-Ups at the box office.
