Rae, this post isn't about an individual, as Max stated very clearly. She, and all of us here, only wish to know what the process is for appointing the Development Team. And as we've said, we don't claim to be any epitome of virtue ourselves-- but we DO care about the same rules being applied to everyone.
Using a much broader (and perhaps inappropriate) analogy, I accept that I am not a model citizen. But that does not mean that I do not have the right to question who gets to run the country. Because the people in charge have a certain amount of power that I don't-- and with good reason. That automatically means that they must be MORE capable than me, and follow the rules more conscientiously.

Yaar mera ek simple sa question hai - why go back to rules which we ourselves dont agree with and flout openly declaring that they are stupider than stupid? I am also all for knowing what is the appointment process and things being crystal clear around here BUT should that mean that I cite the same rules I dont follow for other people just to make a point?

I am not a model citizen of IF and I realize that this in no way takes away from my capacity to ask questions to its governing body but how right it is for me to question those who flout the same rules that I do and dont get reprimanded on (and a lot of us havent gotten reprimanded for the flouting we do...talking about our FFs where we give blog links/write mature content much beyond kissing) when someone else does and doesnt get reprimanded for one reason or the other? Jab wohi leeway/ignoring mujhe miley toh sahi aur kisi aur ko miley toh galat?

Sent a pm to the mod who closed yesterday's post. Here's what I said:
Hello!
This is to talk to you about the closure of this (http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3825717) post.
I created the post yesterday in good fun. We wrote stories that made absolutely no sense but did not contain ANY offensive material- I have read all of them myself.
Therefore, I would like to know that when the reason for closure was cited as "going on and on about a mature OS when they aren't allowed", did you actually close it for talking about a mature OS or simply for using the word "mature OS"? Because two simple words don't contain a detailed account of a sexual encounter!! Just because I used the word 'sex' doesn't mean I AM having 'sex'.
Moreover, none of the stories contain ANY instance of a sexual encounter of any sorts! Had you read the stories you would have realized that Arnav and Khushi went no further than kissing! In some they didn't even do that!!
I am sorry if I come across as mean, I just truly am annoyed. I would like to request the reopening of this thread, or a review of my complain and proper answers with legitimate reasons to why the thread closed at least. If the I-F Dev Team fails to provide what is simply a basic human right to be heard and provided with answers then I am sorry to say I am terribly disappointed.
That aside, the other reason you cited was discussing personal lives of actors.
This happened in a single comment! Closing a whole thread because of a single comment is.. I think you know how it is. Thread Makers cannot help the comments people make. So if somebody posts an offensive comment in a post of mine then will you close the entire thread thereby wasting not only my and everyone else who posted and brought forth a good discussion's time? Earlier, the Dev team would remove such a comment and let the others continue, with probably aa warning if required. But closing a post without a warning? And for such reasons?
I do hope you consider my request, and am truly sorry if I come across offensive but I do hope you understand that was only a result of my slight annoyance at what happened.
Thank you.

-M.

Sigh. Kaafi dard ho gaya. Arnavji's warnings are no longer enough.

Another question, since the post is still open. 😆
Posts on India Forums aren't large 12ft by 16 ft hoardings that you're forced to look at, whether you like it or not. To read what a post says, you have to ACTIVELY click on them and the CONTINUE clicking on them to turn pages.
If you're so offended, why would you read beyond the first post? Why do a group of other people have to be held at ransom because you like indulging in a weird masochistic practice of reading things that offend you? And who decides what is offensive anyway?

As CravingKhana once pointed out, it is okay for a forum full of women to drool over Mr. Sobti, carefully dissecting every portion of his anatomy, but if a forum full of men were to do the same for Ms. Irani, people would be baying for their blood.
I say THAT is offensive, but are you listening to me?

Ooops. MU ho gaya. 😆

See Rae, the REASON this post has been made is because TWO of our posts HAVE been locked over the past 48 hours.

Honestly, we care a rat's arse about what anyone does here. We raise these questions because we believe that we are being unfairly targeted.

@Bold: Baat sahi ya galat ki nahi hai.
Baat yeh hai ki woh jise leeway mil rahi hai woh Mod hai, aur hum nahin.

And that brings us back to the original kostin: How do you choose these supposed paragons of model behavior?

I'd rather work towards getting a rulebook that works for everyone. SInce this one obviously doesn't work for anyone!

If you have a better solution to the current state of affairs, then maybe you should put it across. After all, the goal is not to take someone/thing down but to make it better.

Because Bollywood holds the key to every situation and because what would life be without song

Over and out my friends. I'm off to deal with hypocrisy in the real world.

Till then, dum maaro dum, y'all
