Okay so I read this the entire 20 pages of comments instead of eating lunch. And I am surprised that this thread is still open 😆. This is the best discussion I have seen in a while. Compared to others, I am still a relatively new member on IF. And more so, I am just a newbie.
Here is my opinion...

As per my information, if a person has a criminal record, they are not allowed to be a police officer or work for the law. I don't know the person...Hell I know no one in IF so nothing against the person. But if someone is breaking the rules, then they should not allowed to be "promoted". I agree that being respected for the hard work they do is nice, but questions will arise when the person who is likely to break the rules will take "care" of us. I think Coolbies are next in line to be Viewbies...I think...

MODs should unbiased people. They can't close threads just for the sake of it or because they don't "agree" to it. IF members should be allowed to post anything as long as they are not insulting or bashing anyone (Constructive criticism allowed). I don't know IF or any MODs so I am not viable to say anything but can't help myself. Its funny how some "fun" posts are opened yet the actually fun posts are closed.

I never knew about the 16+ rule but I know FOR SURE there are people who are in their early teens. You do know that people are still going to join even though they are younger??

How is saying the word SEX breaking the rules. Hell even kids these days say it. TV shows it and everything. Having some gutter fun lifts everyone's moods and threads should not be closed because of it.

My View...Time for class so cant type more

Were nt MOds suppose to be ordinary members just like other IF members but no they behave like they rule virtual world

2 threads which were funny was plainly closed for no reasons even after a year later show getting closed

Extreme drooling is encouraged but constructive criticism leads to affecting positivity of the forum

Less said about IPK forum the better this forum had the worst MODS of all the other forums MODS were disguised fans when members are bashed they are busy but when a particular actor is bashed they appear from no where to close such posts
Actors are given priority than real members
One of the best mod IPK had was khushix till date she was the only fair mod IPK ever had

How about changing this forum into appreciation forum so members who are in here for discussions can ignore

I personally have always said that we understand that no system is perfect and it always needs to be improvised and that is something we have worked towards all these 10 years and we will continue.

Moderating is a challenging task and with large and active forums it's all the more difficult and we are exploring ways to handle it more efficiently and uniformly. Sometimes we may falter and you can correct us.

Just cause someone is a coolbie does not mean that person will become a moderator? Many times we have viewbies and mods who were never coolbies.

I have gone through most of the post on this topic and will be sharing the issues with the DTs and will try to reduce the trust deficit that some times come in between DT and Members.
