It was totally wiped off from IF...you dont get it on search. And the author continues to write and publish her (?) stories as if nothing happened at all. Clean chit ! She can always cite some "technical problems" why the story is not on IF anymore right !

There was no warning/ note of what the mods did inspite of asking. The author from whom it was copied and myself had sent PMs to the mods which were not replied to.

Yes, I do have one actually and its quite simple too.

Do away with the rulebook and let people be. According to the rules of this site, I have to be of a certain age to join it and in my book my that age you should have taken your head out of the sand and smelt the wind already i.e. you should know about sex and more importantly (at least for me) know what you want and what you dont.

Also subjectivity wont hurt anyone...cos sex can also mean two things, you know. Pehle padho toh, phir socho toh, phir action lo lena hai toh. Sab kuch ek nahin hota naahi ek tareeke se dekha jaa sakta hai and yeh samajhne ki baat hai.

Presumably that involves someone saying something to the powers-that-be about throwing the rulebook away. Since none of us are guilt-free here, would you prefer that we never put that suggestion forward at all at and let status quo be?

Bottom line is this- the rulebook sucks and it needs a change. The rule enforcement process ditto. Now, I'll say this- change it to make sense, and be fair in enforcing the rules, and I for one, will be a model citizen.

I'm getting the impression you're a philosophy student! 😊

That's unbelievable.

So let me get this straight: Someone plagiarizes and gets away with it, but we cannot even make a fun thread on the one year anniversary of the show's end without getting locked.

Talk about different strokes!

I am saying nothing actually except the fact that I dont agree with the entire concept of 'maine bura kiya theek par tune kaise bura kiya?!' even if that is to the mods cos yes they are supposed to uphold rules and all but when they dont uphold them and we benefit from that lapse then also it should be frowned down upon instead of having issues with it only when there is an adverse effect on us/good for someone we dont particularly care about and which gives us an opportunity to cry foul play.

Maybe the post should have been about changing the rules, maybe not. I have no say in that. But yes, I do believe that the rule book should be done away with completely if not changed drastically.

And I used to be one - a philosophy student that is.

Because plagiarism isn't a serious issue and does not flout the rules of IF. But, creating fun posts and saying "bad" words like sex and kiss is.

The more you stay in IF you get Dis, sisters, friends, fans and partners in crime who are virtually ready to do anything for you !
Sadly, when such people become moderators, they continue to play with the entire forum, for such virtual relationships. Some may even get a thread deleted from the Forum's database. i wonder if some may even give away the password and help mischief..

They disrespect the thoughts and voice of one person in favor of another. :(

There is no accountability for adherence to rules demanded by the Forum and none given.

That is EXACTLY what we're getting at here, only the the statement in bold seems to be coming from the Mods.
We don't go around reporting other people's posts, flagging them as offensive, or even READING things that offend us.
And that isn't because we don't KNOW about other people's posts. We just choose to ignore them as being no concern of ours. And trust me, we KNOW how silly the rules are anyway.

So the question is, why exactly are WE getting pulled up for so-called non-compliance to these rules? If anybody else has been targeted similarly, and unfairly so, this is an opportunity for them to speak up.
The very NATURE of our non-compliance is debatable. But locking the thread leaves no room for such debate.
And I am obviously not talking fan fiction here.

No, what you're talking is sense.
And I'd really like to see if good sense can prevail , and we can get some sensible answers today.
