Tell me you get what I meant in that email about the 'pro' part? You've spanned scenes from the show, multiple characters, a DOUBLE heart attack situation, and of course, a couple generations. In the space of a SINGLE vignette. Do you see any lack of flow? Cramped, contrived, fit-it-all story telling?

It's hard to describe, because brevity is a virtue you have, or don't. It's not the middle path kind of deal. And you ace it. If I started off with the vignette being vividly reminded of one of the genuinely beautiful AND well-dealt-with sequences in IPK, by the time I finished reading it, I was surrounded by the scope of a teaser from what could have been, a potential sequel to the show. And there was no break, or lapse. The continuity puts me in awe, Helee, and you have such a heart for narrowing down to the core of relationships - any kind. 👏 👏

Always such a delight to read your work... 🤗

ps: You managed it yet again. To supplement the execution of an IPK sequence with everything that was lost in the process of 'television-ing' a concept. Just like you did for Arnav's history? I love how you pick up a piece and then fix it in a big frame, filling in the missing or assumed details. Yes, such a pro! ⭐️

Reserved.

I feel I'll end up reading this before the rest of your FF 😆 I apologise for the delay btw.

And this is a very interesting concept. I like Shashi!

Such an Irony!!

Reading THIS OS after having a non verbal fight with MY father...😲 If anything, it really made me rethink about what happened between us and think from HIS pov as well... And I'm a lot more calmer now.. Such an effect your words have on me, Helee...

But He really behaves like a cruel father sometimes...🤔 But.. Sigh, what would I do without him ? 😆 And what would HE do without me? After all I'm his Iklouti Beti... :D Everything made me remember a song that my dad often sings for me about which I won't tell you because it's... SILLY!! 🤪

Okay, now that I've blabbered so much, let's come to the update. It was truly wonderful. Ohh how I wished so see Shashi in a better condition and that the truth behind it was out in the Show... But.. Somethings never happen the way you want it to be.😒 Or let's say that IPKKND ended so abruptly that the makers didn't get any chance to do so. But You beautifully conveyed the bond that a father and daughter shares. I had a feeling that the second scene in hospital didn't involve Shashi but Arnav, and it did come true later. But before that I was really scared for him even though I knew you wouldn't let anything happen to my Arnav..

Sagar and Anandita!!
I don't think anyone could have come up with anything better than these names for Arnav's and Khushi's children..😃 Very well thought I must say...👏 And I loved them too...❤️❤️ And they really made me laugh while having tears in my eyes.. :'D

Absolutey wonderful Helee...👏👏 Totally Loved It!! ❤️I don't think I can praise it enough yaar..

Thank you SOoo much for writing this Lovely OS...

Love,
Deepti🤗

The Shashi-Khushi relationship was always heart-warming to watch as he is such a sensible and loving person. Just loved his silent support when everyone else turned his / her back on her during the forced marriage. His heart joined his soul in praying that his daughter would be alright. That he would be alright, for her... poignant, yet a beautiful reiteration of the depth of his love for her! Buaji's heartless words just add to Khushi's guilt at having indulged in a bit of happy woolgathering, with the result that she wasn't there when her dad needed her... poor thing, she is not to blame but that is no consolation:She walked ahead, looking for some place, a single place, where she could find support. I know he is concerned but this is no time to be arrogant: Ignoring the cries

of a ward boy, he simply tossed over his keys and spat out, "Park it. The name's Raizada." What if some patient needed to be brought in right then... he is impeding their progress... besides, that's no way to speak to anyone! ...he promised himself that he would ensure Khushi's father would receive the best care in the world... how would he do so when her self-respect won't allow her to take anything from him? Thank you for taking us back to that heart-wrenching yet heart-warming scene at the hospital when Khushi clings on to Arnav as her only source of succour and solace, while he wants to be there for her but doesn't know how. Arnav identifying with her sense of fear and loss and Khushi desperately asking for reassurance that ehr dad will be fine is a moving moment. Khushi taking care of her dad and his gentle teasing of her on seeing her interest in Arnav and vice versa is equally touching. Shashi wasn't blind to his daughter's untold feelings. He was not overly concerned about the fact that his daughter probably had feelings for someone. No, the more important question was if the man she adored was good enough to win his little butterfly's heart... didn't I say he was a very sensible father? Lovely how he gauged Arnav's true character with just one glance and of course thanks to Khushi's reaction to Arnav's smile and namaste. It says a lot about Shashi, too, for shaking hands with Arnav... no wonder each respects the other as, in some ways, they are both cut from the same cloth. Shashi had also made sure that Arnav realised his mistake on his own. That was important... what a man, and the way he went about it is genius! No wonder they learned to value each other more. Loved how you made the story come full circle with Arnav and Anandita in Shashi's and Khushi's place. That their kids are chips off the old block, yet with their own individuality is nicely brought out. The door closing on that happy family is a touching conclusion.

What a beautiful description of the inseparable bond between a father and his child!

Who says only blood relation matters?

Khushi is such a kind soul. Even when she has all reasons to blame Arnav for leaving on the road the way he did, she comes up with the reason to not do so.

I loved the recreation of that hospital hug. It was so touching in the show; and so was it here in this OS...

Shashi is a perceptive father. How quickly he deciphered that softness in Khushi's eyes were for that young stranger (he was a stranger to Shashi then). Shashi's thought process is appreciable and that's what every father thinks- that if Arnav was worthy of Khushi or not.

Arnav knows Khushi holds Shashi in a very high regard. And hence it is important that first impression is indeed the best impression.

Arnav now has a father- figure in his life in the form of Khushi's father, a father whom Arnav lost as a teenager!

Really didn't see this coming- an Arnav on the hospital bed.

And I love how Anandita and Sagar are in contrast to Arnav and Khushi...

Vow! U chose Arshi's kids' name wisely! They mean happiness and ocean!

Though I can't help when I say I would have loved further exploration of Khushi and Shashi's bond in the show, it is a lost cause now! Sigh!

Thank God for India- forums, we get to read such awesome stories which the show never brought out!

Kudos to u!
