Jhooth

Bankar baarish ki thandi phuhaar

Mere dil pe jab dastak de gayi

Ansuna kiya tha dil ki pukaar

Par harpal tum kareeb aati gayi

Tumse door rehne ki karta raha koshish

Magar badhta hi raha tumhare liye kashish

Nazar na hata saka, bhanwar mein jaise kho gaya

Tumhari muskaan ne rachayi thi saazish👏⭐️

Aankhon ne aisa jadoo kiya

Aansuon ki baadh mein dil beh gaya

Haar chuka tha dil ki zid par

Tumse kehne ko bhi raazi ho gaya

Dil cheerta hua dekha ek nazara

Phir laut aaya waqt ka wo ishaara

Jhootha hai dil aur dil ki baatein

Kisi apne ne dhokha diya dobara

Masoomsi wo muskaan jhooth thi

Aankhon ki kahi saari baatein jhooth thi

Jhoothi thi fikar jo tumne jataayi

Behlaane wali saari adaayein jhooth thi

Fareb ya dhokha, kya doon isko naam?

Iss dagabaazi ka tumhe kya doon inaam?

Socha bhi na hoga tumne kabhi

Tumhare jhooth ko aisa doonga anjaam

Translation:

Turning into a cool sprinkle of rain

When you knocked on my heart

I let the call of the heart unheard

But you kept coming closer

I tried to remain far away from you

But kept increasing, the attraction towards you

Couldn't take off my eyes, got lost like in a twister

Your smile had devised a conspiracy

The eyes created such a magic

My heart got carried away in the flood of tears

I lost at the tenacity of my heart

I even acceded to tell you

Saw a sight that tore away my heart

The sign of a time returned

The heart is a lie and so are its words

Once again someone dear betrayed

That innocent smile was a lie

The words that your eyes spoke were all lies

The worry that you displayed was a lie

The soothing flairs were all lies

Deceit or betrayal, what should I name it?

What reward should I give for this treachery?

Never would you have thought
The conclusion I would give for your lies

Yes, khushi would have truly realized asr didn't mean to annul his brother's marriage.. wonder what he would have done had khushi refused to budge.. he might have found another means to tie her to himself..

Indu, thank you so so much. Khushi teasing Payalji, Akashji was so well done and true too. 😆 I am happy you loved the edits. 😳

Ya, ASR would have found some other way to make her agree. Always ready with a back up plan. But he knew Payal was her weak point, so this plan had to work. But I think Khushi was too shocked to analyse why he was behaving so. And she hadn't completely come out of that encounter with Shyam. And at the end of this all, her family disowns her. If Arnav was battling on many fronts, Khushi too wasn't any less impacted.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Indu 😃. This was tough. Didn't know how or where I would start. Then got the word Jhooth and worked the poem around that. I am glad you find it powerful. 😊

Thanks for liking the edit and the lines too. 😳 Yes, Payal and Akash have always been luckier. Both aren't lazy but willing to do hard work. But they never had to strive or suffer in their lives as much as A & K had to. Their marriage too had the occasional Mami hurdles, but otherwise it was a smooth ride.

Aww thanks Wiwy. 🤗 You are so right, it is sort of a loop closed. Payal whose marriage was broken, is now married happily. And I agree, the Guptas always tried to cheer Payal up and never put her down because of the broken marriage, especially her father who has always been supportive of his two girls. You loved the edits, thanks. I am trying to experiment with the options available in picasa nowadays. 😳

Indu, loved and agree with all that you wrote in the first para. And Khushi is truly proud of her father and husband (though the hubby has been a pain in the neck 😆)

Oh that riddle, thanks for reminding. Our master riddler had actually put in an easy one and we were going round and round ignoring the obvious. 😆 Yes, missing those days.
