Following the release of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Pawan Kalyan, which received significant criticism for its visual effects, director Jyothi Krisna addressed the concerns, acknowledging that some of the film's VFX didn't meet expectations.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu, directed by Krish and Jyothi Krisna, premiered last Friday after paid previews on Wednesday. The film features Pawan Kalyan in the role of Veera Mallu, alongside Nidhhi Agerwal as Panchami and Bobby Deol as Aurangzeb.

Speaking to ABN in a recent interview, Jyothi said the issues people are pointing out are “minor". “Anyone will troll only those who are in the limelight. People only get views when they write about something famous. I do not take any of the negativity to heart. Every single day, I see something negative being written about Hari Hara Veera Mallu. This is not the first time a film has taken this long to produce."

He added, “When they nitpicked, all they could find was that the CGI and VFX were bad in some places. No one could point out the story and screenplay, or say it’s boring, or that they can’t understand it. There are 4400 shots in the film that required CGI. I knew in my heart that a few shots weren’t up to par, but it wasn’t something huge. We needed to hold special premieres for which tickets were sold out, and they turned that minor issue into something major."

Hari Hara Veera Mallu reportedly includes over 4,400 VFX shots. Despite the negative feedback, the film has performed well financially, earning over Rs 100 crore within four days of its release. An updated version, with some of the criticized visual effects adjusted or removed, was released in theaters over the weekend.

On Sunday, July 27, the film's creators shared a post showcasing the movie's poster along with accompanying text, “BATTLE FOR DHARMA JUST GOT BIGGER. Updated & reloaded content across all screens for the BEST cinematic experience. #HariHaraVeeraMallu – IN CINEMAS NOW."

The most notable alterations occurred in the film's climax. The original version included a confrontation between Pawan Kalyan's Veera Mallu and Bobby Deol's Aurangzeb amidst a tornado, but this entire sequence has been cut. The updated version now features the scene where Aurangzeb states, "Aandhi vachesindi (The storm is here)," as Veera Mallu makes his entrance.

The film concludes by hinting at a sequel to "HHVM," called "Yuddhabhoomi" or "Battlefield," promising to continue the narrative.
