Arnav was modern, but infidelity is very different, & hopefully we as a society never become blase enough to accept it... remember when he learns Khushi is engaged, he is upset.. but later on he settles for snide comments about her fianc. but never goes overboard...

ASR was a good boy friend. I remember in one episode when Arnav had shouted at her, next day he got a white bag for her as a gift. On another occasion when La had whined on the phone to him that his Nani had been troubling her, he returned home with a gift for her again.

OK, I haven't seen the second one yet.. bottom line ASR was one of the most complex character I have seen in Indian soap... though disclaimer, I haven't seen that many Indian soap.. the ones I do catch in passing when my mom is watching.. every other guy seem to be either getting yelled at by his mother or has his head down while his wife is getting yelled at!!!!

& for some unfathomable reason my mom (the TRP aunty) seem to love those shows... she doesn't know anything about TRPs but invariably the top shows are the ones she watches...
