Arnav and La aren't college mates. I'm quite sure about it.

But how Arnav met La is still a mystery.. I don't know whether they revealed or not.

He must have met her in some conference or meetings, coz she was initially associated with A.R.

And the decision to leave RM was coz both Nani and Anjali were hell bent on getting him married which he earlier opposed.

ASR was never romantic, only Arnav was😉

LA was Arnav assistant... who shared his view of marriage (i.e., no marriage relationship is fine).. so he was dating her... it was hinted they had physical initmate relationship, but never shown in your face... but for obvious reasons didn't want Anjali or Nani to know about it... though I think Di did suspect... it was no secret at work, only he wanted to keep it separate from homelife.. obviously Akaash knew about it..

Khushi unintentionally spills the beans, and then Nani wants to meet her, doesn't approve, starts looking for other rishtas.. so to just rile her ASR bringsLavanya to his home... he threatens to walk out because, again for obvious reasons, Nani doesn't approve of live-in relationships.. and ASR wants to exert his independence by continuing live-in relationship... with no marriage in sight...

It is always a mystery of how they met or not. But in the entry of La she says something about five months before but got cut off by ASR. I believe she was convenient and never held the upper hand in their relationship n she was really flexible around his needs. So he stuck with her. But I guess towards their breakup I felt he had a genuine concern for her. But glad that he pointed out in multiple occasions that he never ever had feelings for her.
