ASR & La ??? - Page 3

Thank god there were no intimate scenes between asr and la. I would hav cringed.

But that was the very backbone of the story.. he is a completely anti-thesis to khushi.. and how those 2 collided, each gave a little, learnt a little from each other.. and with their vast differences were yet able to create a relative harmonious relationship.. not boring, but accepting each other's viewpoint without changing the essentiality of their individual personality...

This is why I wanted Arav to be Arnav's son.. Khushi excepting him flaws & all.. Sheetal sharing custody of Arav..

Just as she did accept Arnav knowing his relationship with La... in fact worked hard to give La legitimacy of marriage even if it was tearing her apart... just like she was ok to consummate the day before marriage knowing that to him, getting his mom's blessing and sharing that private side to him was the final hurdle...

Don't think this was only Khushi.. it was also Arnav who completely let her inside his private world.. who pulled back knowing Khushi needs legitimacy before the intimate with him..

As much as it was hinted that they were intimate, he never even reciprocated her hugs...her 'I love u' were never reciprocated...since he doesn't care about society and its norms, I wonder why he was shown a little withdrawn from her ..so one way, it's hard to imagine that they were actually physically intimate. That was exactly ASR.. he was unemotional.. everything was compartmentalized in his life pre-Khushi.. his work life, his home life..

even at relationships he only initiated any human contact with his beloved Di.. everyone else at work or home he either tolerated or was openly hostile...

La fell into the convenient tolerable category... he was never interested in any long term situation, she was there and more important to him of similar mindset (at least that is what he thinks)... of course he was not emotional enough to reciprocate anyone's hugs.. his Di's he would accept with rueful resignation.. La he could tolerate occasionally...

they were not boyfriend/girlfriend in traditional sense.. La was more of a convenient mistress... he called the shots in that one... he is forced by Khushi spilling the beans to Nani to bring La home.. he was withdrawn from her because he truly didn't care for her.. which was ok for La until Khushi makes her see the fragileness of her situation..

The first time he deliberately initiates a touch is while Khushi is crying for her dad & he very awkwardly pats her on head.. after spending an entire evening berating that he didn't comfort her at the hospital...

I think ASR really liked LA as a person ( coz he was shown taking care of LA many times..like after she was drunk, gifting her a hand bag, etc...) and after all we all agree she was a nice person at heart, otherwise she would not have changed the way she changed for ASR that too upon Khushi's training!

but he never loved her he was with her coz it was convenient for him to stay in a relation and not being committed

He never looked like he is sexually interested in LA even if he not interested in her emotionally. When LA was adjusting his tie or when she came to his room you can clearly see her face. She was not come to him for emotional support or love. It clearly shown that she was trying to seduce him, even then also he never reciprocated.

We see a very brief ASR/La interaction pre-Khushi during the cake episode... we see the slight smile & tolerant, affectionate (OK, affectionate for ASR) attitude ... afterwards... every time we see ASR/La interaction the specter of Khushi is between them... do you think anyone can physically touch him like La did without his tactic prior permission.. no matter.. how much La can desire him... no the fact that La could wrap herself around him itself is the indication that there is a relationship.. and what other kind of relationship would ASR have apart from a pure physical one...

Also, remember La assumes she is going to share a room with him... do you think she would on her own assume it?? No she assumed it because it was already a fact.. he had already given her the right to assume it...

When she is adjusting his tie.. he is thinking of Khushi.. when she comes to his room, he is thinking of Khushi.. the only reason he doesn't share a room with her is because deep down he respects his nani, even though he rebels against her wish to conform him to norms.. and more than that his Di.. who would tolerate his foibles.. but would not want him to cross the line...

Given that it was daring for daily soap.. to show open physical relationship... they beautifully implied it.. without ever spelling it out...

but he never loved her he was with her coz it was convenient for him to stay in a relation and not being committed --- yes precisely, it was a convenient arrangement for both of them.. him in a non-threatening relationship where he is calling the shots.. for her, the satisfaction of being the closest to ASR the boss & the resultant power it gave her...

Yes of course he liked her (more tolerate than like).. and he really felt bad when he broke up with her.. realizing that she loved him & he could not reciprocate her feelings.. and instead used her feelings for him to stave off his growing attraction to Khushi... using her as a shield ... at this point he is attracted to Khushi, he is fighting it but does not love her..

As he confesses to Di.. even when he married her he doesn't love her (prior to finding about Shyam).. he only started loving her, feeling she is essential to him after marriage...
