I cannot begin my response without applauding you for this beautifully crafted post.

I always admire you for your clarity of thought and attention to nuances in the script and characters which translates into your articulate writing..

Now regarding the topic of discussion you haven't left much to add, however here is my point of view

Anjali as a character has never been my favourite from day 1. She has always come across as a manipulative, self centred, obsessive woman lacking intellect and self respect.Hence I am never in a position to emphatise or sympathise with this woman. she fails as a mother, a sister, a grand daughter, a wife.

What disappointed me the most was stagnation in ASR's character.

I always knew that his sister was of prime importance in his life, but somewhere I thought he had progressed in his relationship with Khushi which was meant to be built on pure unconditional love, trust and most importantly respect.

But he failed when he could not protect her honour today.

Even if I assume that no one would have believed Shyam and his accusations against Khushi, yet it was his responsibility to shut every word or action targeted at the honour of his wife.

I hate to see the characters of the mighty ASR and the feisty Khushi being reduced to such low levels just to give importance to an undeserving character.

Finally I would like to conclude by saying that only if they had projected this story as a bro sis relationship story and not a love story, I wouldn't have been this dejected.

I just do not understand when they have an amazing actor like Sanaya why are they not using & pushing down our throat Daljeet / Anjali (she herself said she sees herself in Anjali)

In which show do we watch the Lead's sister being so important when the Banner's promos's have the Female lead ??

I really fail to understand the reason why is only Anjali so important to the CV's if this is the case then just bump Khushi & enjoy your Bro - Sis bond completely instead "trying" to focus on The Lead.

let me start with The Justice for Anjali Jha.

Now when i sit down and question myself does she deserve the justice as mother. Yes i suppose because she did loose her child, but then i remember she is the same woman who was ready to kill her own child because her husbands was thrown out the house by her brother, and apparently a child needs both mother and father otherwise he/she shouldn't live. what about all those single parents who give the children the love and care and provide best for them, she basically insulted all the single parents of this world.

and her belief that nobody will love her child...she will be remembered because of her fathter..

In real world not every doctor's child becomes a doctor, not every lawyer's child becomes a lawyer and same way not every criminal child is born to be a criminal... also she was ready to manipulate her other "child" for her husbands free entry...where was the pain at that time..

Arnav as a brother is great , but why is so hard for him to point out his sisters mistakes...what kind of relation is that when you can't see the bad in your loved one..why was it so hard for him to make his sister understand..why does he need to make decision for her..and they are supposed to represent mother and son relation...he really i mean really Loves her..like he says Di is most important person in his life, he can do anything for her..and rest to go any XYZ place all he cares. BAS

Arnav as husband needs to improve a lot. No husband will stand like statue and let someone degrade their wife. Its not the first time it has happened. When he has this urge to kill Shyam for his evils done to his sister, its expected from him have the same stand for his wife. If he wants to defend his wife's honor than stand like a MAN just few repeated lines and one or two slaps won't do it, because it didn't undo any damage before..time to time she is repeatedly being called characterless. Yes he loves her, but why does it feel his love is not constant ,it comes and go...and he really needs to put difference between his sister and wife, i believe after marriage your wife should come first, and it doesn't mean forget about your family just give a little more priority to your wife than rest...it won't hurt him to say this once that Khushi is most important person in his life.

i am going to say it again seriously your post rocks..👏

I am still sore about the way I got cheated and am still having an emotional hangover Am going to slight digress as you have covered in your post every single thought that was racing through my head except I did not have the energy nor your graceful way of making a point come across clearly My temper cooled off after I read your post and it was truly cathartic

One man believed in her innocence without proof

One man knew her to be honorable beyond suspicion

One man reposed faith in her innate character instinctively

One man took up cudgels on her behalf when she was being insulted by family

One man hated it and wanted to strangle the man who called her a tramp

One man stands by her through thick and thin unfailingly

And the phangurls slam dunked someone for daring to suggest NK is a better partner than ASR will ever probably because they also knew inside their hearts he is the better man and human being of the two

I try to be fair-minded (extremely tough here as you can imagine ) before passing judgment so did read some posts trying to explain his POV to try and see was I going overboard in my rage and alas not one post and mark you there were plenty managed to come up with one good reason that made it acceptable for me to say yeah ok ASR I do get why you kept quiet while your beloved sister's husband was busy calling her a s**t to her face

I can let go of the 16 year olds who are so obsessed with the character of ASR for it is a hormonal phase and even if they are lusting after the actor who is old enough to be their uncle/father as they are at an age when everything is confusing and giddy and nothing that a few hard knocks from the school of Life and a benevolent Higher Power wont set right their thinking but when I see married ones who know what life is and yet blindly support a person without looking into the merits of his actions but rush just because it is ASR makes me draw 2 conclusions

either they are treated like queens at home so are bored and have the bad boy fever

they have such horrible lives that ASR seems like as saint in comparison

for nothing else can explain the absolutely illogical silly reasons given from camera angles to BD to script to CV to direction to sabotage to no need for him to do anything as he implicitly believes her as you can see all gushing arguments in favor of an actor but not the character per se so realized I was never going to get the answer I was looking for

not that it would have swayed my opinion in any way but just probably tempered my view with a bit of sympathy but alas did not happen so my conclusion

every one knows he was very wrong in his reactions he ran to his sisters defense just seconds after KKG had to defend her own honor once again all by herself and let no on say she is strong I hate that statement that is twisted by many here to justify his actions yet clouded by their own feelings will refuse to admit a God has clay feet Bas

the same logic can also be given when KKG goes OTT or off the wall but she will be openly condemned out of sheer cussedness and he will be worshipped out of sheer blindness phangurl syndrome and heaven help any one arguing with their logic

vented and now bent out of shape😆

u just nailed each and every perspective !!!!!!n for me ASR was a good bro today as always...but he failed as a hubby that too as always !!!!!i expected a change in expression...or clenching fist...but no...he was least effected by it...even akash n nk were shown slightly irritated !!!!!

Tia, that is a little unfair on Arnav. He has defended Khushi when she needed defending - in front of his grandmother. I don't think Khushi needed anyone to defend her today because no one believed Shyam anyway, It was a madman's depserate rant, the only one who was at the risk of believing him was Anjali, and the fact that she believed Khushi rather than Shyam without any prodding from Arnav was exactly the point.

Khushi and Arnav laid the evidence in front of Anjali and let her come to her own conclusions rather than forcing her to take their words over his. And I'm sorry, but being called characterless simply does not compare to being secretly fed abortion pills or thrown down a flight of stairs while heavily pregnant. Forget for a minute that Arnav-Khushi are the lead, and you will see that any sane human being would make it his priority to bring a victim like Anjali out of her delusion.
