Tia, that is a little unfair on Arnav. He has defended Khushi when she needed defending - in front of his grandmother. I don't think Khushi needed anyone to defend her today because no one believed Shyam anyway, It was a madman's depserate rant, the only one who was at the risk of believing him was Anjali, and the fact that she believed Khushi rather than Shyam without any prodding from Arnav was exactly the point.

Khushi and Arnav laid the evidence in front of Anjali and let her come to her own conclusions rather than forcing her to take their words over his. And I'm sorry, but being called characterless simply does not compare to being secretly fed abortion pills or thrown down a flight of stairs while heavily pregnant. Forget for a minute that Arnav-Khushi are the lead, and you will see that any sane human being would make it his priority to bring a victim like Anjali out of her delusion.

It seems like ASR's love for Khushi is restricted only to rabba ves.

- After the kidnapping track, when Shyam accused Khushi in front of everyone, ASR did not come to defend her. She had to beg and plead in front of everyone, and ASR slapped Shyam and threw him out as an afterthought but Khushi's name was never cleared in front of the family.

- When Khushi was accused in front of the family for not taking the pheras and living with ASR, then too ASR did not clear that it was his fault and that he was the one who forced her for the marriage.

- And again in today's epi, once again Khushi has to beg against Shyam's accusation... and no reaction from ASR!!

ASR has time and again proved that his wife's honour is nothing for him. Khushi is expected to play the part of a dutiful wife... keep the interests of the family above hers, support ASR whenever required, rabba ve with him, forget and forgive all the humiliation and accusations she has had to endure and then go back to her comedy tricks to cheer everyone up. She shouldn't be expecting any respect or justice... all this is shown as the nayi soch .

My sympathy for Anjali went out the door, the day they started showing her completely unaffected by the truth that Arnav was kidnapped and nearly killed by Shyam - her character in the earlier episodes of IPK was adorable...she loved and doted over Arnav, always worried about his happiness. Even when she went through that accident planned by Shyam during the Payash wedding, she herself said she thought of her brother first...that elder sister has disappeared. Once her own world and life was in doldrums, she completely ignored her beloved "Chhotey" and the ordeal he went through (lets keep Khushi aside for now)

And as soon as her hubby was brought back, she went back to being the doting sister 😕

So she's a fair weather 'mother figure'?!!!

The writers have turned her character into a selfish and self absorbed person. I have no interest in seeing her onscreen anymore...

My father defends my mother so fiercely, you would think he's crazy! In fact, it's a well known fact, that nobody had better say a word against my mum, for whatever reason. And actually, that includes my siblings and I!! That my dad has to contend with two vastly differing cultures (Italian/Persian) is a feat of his love for my mum. He always says, without respect there can be no true and pure love.

I don't think Arnav has that for Kushi. I mean he says that he loves her more than life itself, but what's the point of lip service, no action??

But of course! We already know that Kushi will NEVER get the redemption she deserves from any of the people who purport to love her. Neither has her husband the spine to defend her, (hell! he can't even defend her for something like phatti saree, how will he defend her from a goon??) nor has the creep, Shyam the conscious to feel guilty or ashamed. Neither do any of the Guptas including Payal have the capacity to love her as one of their own, nor do any of the Raizadas have any respect for her. She's there only for what she can do for and give them. What they can take from her. Like I said before, she's like the incense that sacrifices by burning so that others can enjoy the pure fragrance of heaven.

The CVs hate Kushi so much that they are actually cutting off their noses to spite their faces! They are actually prepared to take the disgust thrown at them to demean Kushi! How spiteful!

I woe the day I got into this serial. The only reason I keep watching is I keep thinking (hoping against hope) that Kushi will one day get her due. That the CVs will finally see the light and make Kushi rise like the phoenix from the ashes. Yes, after all the shabby treatment she has received from Day One! Well, I can keep on dreaming, nah???...

But it's not that I get any pleasure from watching this serial. I'm like a junkie, now. I know this serial is no good, yet I can't stop myself!!!!!!!
