But defending a character has nothing to with whether they condone the same views in real life. Often times it's just about perspective.

I defend Khushi because in this world ultimately Khushi will win in the end...
She might be naive but she is not spineless...
Her resignation speech still resonates...
" hum thik hai...aapse wajah se nahi...par aapse bawjood hum thik hai"...
Bhaad mein gaye aap aur bhaad mein gayi aapki naukarii"...
I agree that cvs have diluted Khushi...
I don't like ASR the character...
But people here want to marry a guy like ASR in real life...😲
So that's what confuses me...

That is the main difference. But simply because , some one says you have to marry me, I am not going to go say yes. Instead I would say , go ahead, I dare u. ASR would have to deal with ASR not Khushi :P

Also, I would have disclosed the Shyaamu truth the day I found out, so me landing up in any of Khushi's predicaments is highly unlikely. If we start discussing this further, it will turn in Arnav vs Khushi again . So instead of pointing fingers at khushi, I would say , that I would have done things way differently, hence not landing in her situations.

But then again, the CVs have written this to create a drama, I am sure people would have behaved differently in real life.

Yep if someone tries to do that to me ...I would defend myself...
So if he opens the dori like in first scene...he would have gotten a tight slap ...
But point is in real life some girls want to marry an ASR...
That's what I am stunned at...
On screen it might sound cool or hot...
But in real life a guy of his mentality o( mentally unstable) will make your life a living hell...
If you are just talking about ASR a fictional character...I can at least understand he might be hot as BS plays that part.
But some girls in this forum want ASR in real life...so why would you want to get into relationship with mentally unstable guy ???😲

hmmm i dont know what to say...😕
why now all of a sudden there is a post on Arnav v/s Khushi...😲

yep some of the girls including me support Arnav in each of his steps, but that does never mean that we wont understand the pain of other girl, i mean khushi...we too support khushi in times against arnav...😳
am not defending arnav here again..., but just saying Arnav and Khushi both are to be blamed..., if arnav cant control his anger and brings whole world of khushi to a stop!!, khushi never ever used her brain and never been strong enough to fight against arnav for his misdeeds towards her, she let people to use her as a doormat!!...both are mentally weak to take a very strong decision...😳

@chillygirl and rockerchic: both of you, very well said...specially Rockerchic👏

As I said, my personality is more like ASR than Khushi
That is why I can relate to him more
We let people be as long as they leave us alone.
He isn't mentally unstable
More like frustrated that he is being forced to do things that he would rather not.
ASR has never acted on his own.
All his actions are reactions to Khushi's actions
As I am not Khushi, I doubt he would react the same way with me.
I wouldn't have gate crashed an event
I wouldn't have argued with him in his office.
Maybe after I left it (that was very immature)
i don't eat food on other people's property
I can go on.

I am not talking about the looks at all.
I am talking about the personality
Polish, education, mannerisms
I like the fact that he is an atheist. I am one as well
I like the fact that he is close to his family
I like the fact that he isn't sexist. If you remember the Lavanya incident , where she is asking for his permission to go to a party, he is like, why the hell are u asking me. It is your life.
He expected Lavanya and Aman to work equally hard.
Not special treatment was given based on gender.
I like that equality.
No point in comparing him to when Khushi started her Dabba service
(story from then was utter unASR like )
I like the fact that he is independent and he has started his own business.

We all know the answer to your Q...because most teenagers watch this serial only for BARUN and they don't see how cruel ASR was to khushi...only we some mature fans feel khushi's pain...for them asr is hotwa he can't do any wrong and only they send GUTTER POST... whatever it means I don't know...😆

well very valid point u have raised!! but i guess the short and sweet answer is many girls don't look beyond the surface..
thus fail to care about the actual emotions of the characters, what they are going through as the appearances capture their attention more..

Also on IF the line b/w reel and real aspects of an actor becomes a blurred line..therefore supporting the character is synonyms with supporting the actor..which is very much wrong!

cz i have watched Barun himself criticizing somethings ASR does to Khushi!!

Anyway there r sane people here, who criticize both when and where it is due..

Okay I am missing out on a lot of good posts these days.
Better late than never.
ASR is a fictional character , Barun Sobti is just the guy who brings ASR alive on screen.
If someone says something against ASR that does not mean that He/She is bashing Barun Sobti.

Learn to differentiate between ASR and Barun.
One is reel and another one is real.
For god's sake Open your eyes and see it.

I have nothing against Barun Sobti.
I wish him all the best.
He is a great guy.

But I hate ASR's guts .
So I will talk about it.
I can talk about a fictional character, I have full right to.

Now before anyone calls me biased , I appreciate ASR whenever appreciation is required, but I don't get many chances to do that.
I cut him some slack last night but Let's see how long that lasts.
His brain cells will not remain intact for long, I am sure of it.

Girls need to chalk out the difference between real and reel.

Thank you for making this post TM.

EDITED-

I read all the previous pages and I came to this shocking conclusion that some girls want to marry a guy like ASR?
Really?
Can they inflict this kind of suffering on themselves just because the guy is hot headed and good looking?
Really?
What is wrong with ppl?

A guy who shouts, screams at people has manners???
A polished guy would pull dori of a stranger???
A Harvard educated guy who doesn't understand difference between an affair & blackmail???
My definition of mannerisms is if you are angry, don't shout, don't break things...
Keep your feelings under control...
Just because you are angry doesn't mean you should go on rampage...
For me a polished guy is someone who knows how to behave with everyone...
How to treat everyone with respect, dignity ...
A guy who is man enouggh to say sorry when he is wrong...
So I can't connect to ASR at all...
I am a very hot headed person...but thankfully I don't shout,scream,throw things when I am upset...
That's what we learnt in preschool...
I am an engineer too...
But I don't look down upon people who are not educated...
May be I was fortunate enough to be born in wealthy, highly educated family...
I just did well in school...That was enough for me...
But some people don't get that chance...
Orphans are not that lucky ...they are given up by parents even before they are mature enough to know meaning of a parent...
I don't think class has anything to do with money,education...
Nani in ipkknd might be uneducated but I will call her polished & classy...
Polished or classy person will never touch dori of a stranger in first place...
Polished or classy person will never leaveAny human being from first floor...unless it's for self defense...
Polished or classy person will never refer to A poor girl as gold digger.without any proof...
...period...
So may be definition of classy, polished, well mannered is different in our books...😊

I don't want to marry an ASR just as i don't want to be like Khuhsi.

They are fictional characters and hence their attributes and shortcomings are exaggerated. But i am sure when people say they want to be like Khuhsi or marry an ASR they mean the positives. Like Khushi's innocence/kind nature and ASR's caring nature towards his family/ability to love deeply.

It's just an escape rout and a very common trait in everyone. Nothing too serious.
