What I am trying to say is I admire many of his traits and I do not mind his dark traits. I have no problem at all with how he behaved with Khushi. You do. What you condone, from where I stand was simply good tactical decision. What you feel or condemn, doesn't affect my viewpoint of him and vice versa.

But one thing for sure, if Barun quits, I might just quit watching IPK, ASR or no ASR. It will be hard to relate to a new person.

I am not saying what feel shud matter to u at all. I m merely pointing out that u cannot say "ohh l like ASR bcos he is shrewd, intelligent, smart" but when he behaves like a jerk its the scripts fault reference is the line ur earlier post where u said our complaints are abt the script. No our complaints are abt ASR. HE is a compete package...which has certain admirable traits and certain dark traits...

No where did I say that my POV shud affect ur view point, neither have i ever expected that from u before ... this is not the first time we r having this debate...

Well even in case of an hit and run accident wher victim dies, judiciary world wide punishes the driver, yes that driver did not intend to kill the person, yes he ran bcos he thought of his self interest.

To show the contrast.. they had to blow up the bad traits..they have to show him in negative light to bring about the positive change... yet to contrast that.. he has rescused her numerous times too..

See we r crossing the realm into ASR is this way for the purpose of the story...I m not talking about the story or plot here...I look at ASR as a complete package with admirable traits that u like and dark traits I criticize...

Ofcourse reason is story but this discussion is abt those traits which cause harm to someone both physically and mentally. And I am concerned about people liking/ignoring those traits just bcos he has a few admirable ones.

Yes whenever he did something good whether it is for her I did praise him too...

Wow! Great posts! I always felt Khushi to be the central character in IPK. She is the heart and soul of the Show and not ASR or Arnav. Khushi is emotionally stronger than Arnav. In a crisis who does the thinking? As a woman, I do feel her pain and cry when she cries. She is the one I would like to give a big hug to, not ASR or Arnav.

In my opinion, ASR seemed to be more appealing because of the age factor of female viewers? Younger generation perhaps? Mixing ASR, Arnav and Barun all in one image? (I really think we should get Barun out of this equation. He is simply portraying a character.) Seeing only ASR's 'hotness' and blocking his actions? ASR was cruel, humiliating, abusive, threatening, blackmailing, ruthless, demeaning, insulting, controlling, and so on and on... There was not a single quality that was positive. In real life situation, and if I was Khushi, I would stay miles away from that ASR guy. He was bad. Really bad.

Both Sanaya and Barun has done such an excellent job, that we are having such conversations. Defending and taking sides on fictitious characters!!

And again I am giving you the same response. They mean the positive traits. No one wants to be man handled. Lol. Your entire debate is of no real consequence because how ever wild the fantasies are in will have little impact on real life. And that's a fact, you can look it up in any psyc textbook.
