I dont want it to have teh same storyline that other shows have, thats all am saying. I dont want it to lose its intergrity.

Oh ok, yeah no worries! I believe that there is a lot more story to be told for this show. I mean, it survived while they wrote crap so I don't see any reason for them not to gain ratings now. If you think about it, they are actually catering to the regular indian audience by incorporating Arnav's dadi. She's a typical strict type (bitchy imo) of character seen on every type of soap. The production house is trying to rope in the older viewers as they are quite strong in numbers. I'm sure they'll be gravitating towards this show now. After all, they love bitchy mother in laws.

I guess your right!! Every good thing has an end. And yes, i'd rather they end the show than have it mulled with cliche.

NOT just Khushi, but Arnav as well! They are BOTH misunderstood by the people around them, and thought of as selfish, when THEY have done the most selfless act of all! Sacrificing their OWN happiness for the sake of a loved one!
Khushi did it, and so did Arnav! But instead of getting some acknowledgement for the suffering endured by both in varying degrees in the past 6 months... (Khushi mostly in the earlier stages of the marriage, and Arnav during the kidnapping), they are being "Villified"!!
There is NO justice in this! THAT is why TRP is not going up! MY personal POV!

I don't think its becoz of the villain coz there's one more show on SP where evil always wins over gud and the show was doing very well in TRP's but as soon as the evil was exposed the trp's dropped(even my grand mom stopped watching it) and they had to make the character evil again lolz

awesome post👍🏼
agree with you totally
people(here trp audience) wants to see khushi get justice
asr's mere acknowledging the fact that khushi is not wrong doesn't count as redemption
how cliched it may sound but people do want to see feel good scenes at least once in a while
always demening khushi, name calling by many people, first asr, then shyam and now dadi,it doesn't go well down with people everytime
if they want to see saas-bahu,rona-dhona stuff they have plenty of options
and people who are telling if you don't like it,don't watch it,i don't count in trp
but those who do are already reaching for their remote

I completely agree with you. A lot of people have been speculating that the show might go of air because of the TRP's for a while now and the way the show has picked up pace, i am beginning to get scared that the Production house might just have lost interest in IPKKND because of the same reason.

Personally the show works for me because its not cliched! It gives a thinking person like me some thing to watch. I just cant understand the average IQ of the audience in India and their expectations from the kind of soaps they like to feed their imaginations with! I mean havent people had enough of cliche?? Its there on every channel on every second daily soap, isnt that enough for them that they have to turn a good thing into a mediocre run of the mill show. Beats me completely!!

Mediocre

Oh I agree with you but not everyone thinks like you and me. Bottom line this is being watched by house wives and working women who at the end of a grovelling day would like to sit down infront of the TV and watch something to entertain themselves and forget about their problems for half and hour.
when the show fails to provide what they want to watch, they turn away looking for shows that cater to their tastes.
As I said, this post is trying to decipher the psyche of TRP audience. Not intended for people who would like to do character analysis and decoding. That's strictly for IF crowd who generally doesn't contribute to TRPs.

yup i think trp audience wants DRAMA !

the female lead crying ... saasu maa taunting her... hero who is all soft and sweet with his wife.

the show is unique in that way. i also think mahadev gave them competition at the 8pm slot along with BV bec of the marriage shown there. but im sure the story is headed a direction where trp will come up.

Bang on! :D
Even i want to see those things, however cliched it might me..
But that is just the kind of thing that clicks with the audience, unlike Khushi been shown to be allegedly wrong, for the umpteenth time! :/
Dadi, i guess was brought to add that little touch of 'saas-bahu saga'.
But that kind of things really doesn't work with IPKKND!
Cause i think most of started watching it due to the sheer lack of it, and also for the unique potrayal of love between them.

Ever since the terrace seen have i waited to see Arnav realising his mistake, repenting and apologising! :(
That wasn't shown to us!
Everytime he showed the slightest sign of remorse, was i was optimistic that he would apologize!
That wasn't to be!
Yes, the remarriage is happening, but the fact that these vitial things haven't been shown, is really getting on the viewers..

I have no clue why even after all this, do i switch on my idiot box at eight, hopeful for there to be a change.
A miracle!

Hiru🤗
Problem started on the 14th feb 2012. I had always said that a marriage based on unrequited love is not TRP gainer. Now if Harvard was a normal lead who is not so svuave and intellegent it would have worked a la lamp and wick show but here he was potrayed as one smart man. So after the wedding had they shown him atleast thinking again that would have worked but we got comedy, abuse and plain baloney. This was the time people stop watching but they did not get what they expected.
Then when the whole truth came out, again audience was expecting a huge redemption track where Harvard would truly repent but we got more smirks and blackmail and again it tuned people off. The villan is secondary. Other characters were never developed and the one stupid track after other.
All good things do come to an end so will with the show and I truly feel thats why they are rushing now. This is the only show where until now which is what a year the lead have not had a decent conversation. What kind of relationship is this? even aunties want love...there is enough misery in life as it is why would you want to get hooked on a show and be more miserable? they want love and the leads chemistry is amazing...but then we got to watch willow love her brother which again was sickening.
Well when the show ends and everyone goes on their merry way, lets just hope that they are successful in whatever they do. Life does go on doesnt it??

THIS. Thank you.

I also like to add. There is so much you can insult the intelligence of the audience.

No baby bump for 7months.
No retribution from ASRs side.
Mindless romances.

What do you know the TRP audience is much more sensible than what they thought.

Also you're confusing the audience. What track is this?

Is it
A- Past
B-Remarriage
C-Shyam drama

Pick one. Damn it. By showing all three it's clearly visible how un made the CVs mind is. They trying hit or miss. Unfortunately it's a miss miss and miss.

Sigh.
