oh I agree, but is the show at least doing a decent job of not showing a cliched route? If they want to go uncliche, show something that's consistent with what they showed, lets say last week?
without tying up loose ends, they cannot build the next track. without Arnav's realisation of mistakes, he cannot builr up a solid foundation of their relationship. And if they show it like that, the audience will not buy it.
when there are a whole lot of elephants in the room, they ignor them spectacularly and come up wth an out of the world plot that's stupid although they try to show it as 'uncliche'.
This is where the audience loose touch with the story

If you think about it, they are actually catering to the regular indian audience by incorporating Arnav's dadi. She's a typical strict type (bitchy imo) of character seen on every type of soap. The production house is trying to rope in the older viewers as they are quite strong in numbers. I'm sure they'll be gravitating towards this show now. After all, they love bitchy mother in laws.

😆 😆 "Bitchy mother in laws!!!" Honestly is that what people want to see?? Thats pathetic!! Thanks for putting my fears at rest, true, the fans stuck with the show when it wasnt doing well so here's hoping we'll see better days and better content and for my peace of mind a good show that will stay on air for a long time to come. 😃

when the show fails to provide what they want to watch, they turn away looking for shows that cater to their tastes.
As I said, this post is trying to decipher the psyche of TRP audience. Not intended for people who would like to do character analysis and decoding. That's strictly for IF crowd who generally doesn't contribute to TRPs.

Don't worry, these housewives will stick to this show like a magnet if they see a mother in law being horrible to her daughter in law. For some reason, they love women hating on other women. Maybe because it depicts a reality of their own life...who knows. So, I just mean that the ratings will go up just because of the dadi lol. The younger audience is just not enough to keep this show going and some may not like it but if you want this show to survive, get ready for some woman on woman hate.

Even i want to see those things, however cliched it might me..
But that is just the kind of thing that clicks with the audience, unlike Khushi been shown to be allegedly wrong, for the umpteenth time! :/
Dadi, i guess was brought to add that little touch of 'saas-bahu saga'.
But that kind of things really doesn't work with IPKKND!
Cause i think most of started watching it due to the sheer lack of it, and also for the unique potrayal of love between them.

Ever since after the terrace seen have i waited to see Arnav realising his mistake, repenting and apologising! :(
That wasn't shown to us!
Everytime he showed the slightest sign of remorse, was i was optimistic that he would apologize!
That wasn't to be!
Yes, the remarriage is happening, but the fact that these vitial things haven't been shown, is really getting on the viewers..

I have no clue why even after all this, do i switch on my idiot box at eight, hopeful for there to be a change.
A miracle! :/

@bold
that's where the problem lies
without realising his huge mistakes and all the insults khushi has gone through, asr is ready for remarriage
agree that people are waiting for remarriage
but after everything about khushi's innocence cleared out
guptas don't know the real truth of marriage yet hell except nani and anji no one know it
even they know half baked truth

Though i ve lots of reasons to vent out on the CVs i still feel that 2.5 is way too low for this show when compared to the other shows which r higher than IPKKND in the TRP ladder.

Just out of curiosity i read the Written updates of the dhokla show, mature oldies love show, marriage musical chairs show, Desi Masterchef show, babies galore show, child bride show & many other such blah shows & i am actually shocked that with that miniscule non-existent story line they r higher than IPKKND.

I feel this show is way better than those kitchen politics & baby shower shows. But kya karen our mindset is diff frm that of the house wives who watch Indian soaps 😕

So my honest opinion is that IPKKND definitely deserves better TRPs.

May b coz it airs at 8 which is the most competitive time slot

I sure hope you are right love, I sure hope you are right 😊

NOT just Khushi, but Arnav as well! They are BOTH misunderstood by the people around them, and thought of as selfish, when THEY have done the most selfless act of all! Sacrificing their OWN happiness for the sake of a loved one!
Khushi did it, and so did Arnav! But instead of getting some acknowledgement for the suffering endured by both in varying degrees in the past 6 months... (Khushi mostly in the earlier stages of the marriage, and Arnav during the kidnapping), they are being "Villified"!!
There is NO justice in this! THAT is why TRP is not going up! MY personal POV!

I agree with you, but I have watched shows that had a topping 6 TRP (choti bahu season 1 to be precise) where the HUGE injustice happened to the female lead of the story didn't come out till few months before the send of the show but still garnered HUGE TRPs, becuase the stry line was consistent.
I rememebr cribing about the justice not not metting towards Radhika but still the audience clicked with all of it becaue the story was well executed with a wonderful bond between the leads.
I still say they can work with the material at hand if they can move the story on consistently directed path without changing tracks midway.
