Yeah, I wanted to write something unconnected to the show. It's a different concept and except for Payal many of the key characters like the monster, his parents, the first bride and the boy are original characters I have created.

Though I would venture to say that the Payal in this story is nothing like the demure girl on the show. My Payal is feisty, courageous and strong. Thanks so much for your encouragement. Really appreciate you reading and commenting on Part 4 of this story. Glad you liked it.

To answer your question, something has definitely happened to the first bride or sparrow as the monster likes to call his wives. Which is the mystery of the story.
