I agree with the topic maker. Although granted he definitely has improved from the initial days, however I often find it difficult to interpret his 'expressions'. I understand that his role demands him to be reserved, stiff, arrogant and completely to himself, but there are certain scenes whereby his gaze is blank and lifeless. Perhaps his acting skills does not reach the expected notch due to Sanaya's overpowering characterization, vibrancy and enhanced acting abilities.

But I'm confident that he will improve = )

I get exactly what you are trying to say (er atleast i think i do 😆) In the beginning when the show hadnt even started Barun was criticised left right n center, juz like San on the other end i wasnt sure myself haven seen a few Shravan scenes, what a transformation, nobody could have imagined that, or maybe his fans did juz like we did for San L0L

I think that something 'missin' is not on Barun's part, the guy has got eyes that emote well.

Basically i cant explain wat i gotta say so i will take example of friday's epi.

When Anjali was hurt, and crying and praying with that challenging spirit, Arnav's expression didnt mean much, he was worried for his sister but apart from tht i guess the Arnav who doesnt believe in God was nowhere to be seen, which was a disappointment, as i stated before i would have preferred to see Arnav having a Silent War with God accusing him and questioning him for all the hurt his religious sister was getting now, and a climax when Anjali smiled and then got back to praying. Arnav should have been like 'She has come back to you, but i wouldnt..Never' That would have been Epic..ofcoz things dont go the way i want them to usually 🤔 i was waiting eagerly for some good Arnav dose after watching the precap. nyways what i truly mean to say is that the guy whose writing Arnav scenes truly keeps missing chances here and there to emote Arnav well, i guess its coz of the stress which they are putting on the Fact that Arnav can go to any lengths for his sister. Honestly writers we got that long Back, move ahead now please :P

That Aside, U have done a tremendous Job in opening a decent post positively criticising the actor, and stating ur opinion in the best manner possible..! 🤗

I beg to differ.

See, Arnav's character is a complicated one who has to show his emotions through expressions. He can't speak and that's the beauty of it. I personally think that he is an awesome actor. How many actors have we seen acting without words? I'd say there are very very less actors in the industry who can do what Barun is doing.

If you must remember, in Friday's episode when he was staring at Khushi while La was making him break her fast, he was totally quiet the whole time but his eyes and expressions were speaking. This is just one example of many of his finest performances.😊

yes thats exactly the point, he could play a naughty , irresponsible shravan boy very well
i am sure people must have hated him a lot when he was selfish and irresponsible to the core 😆(is it so as i never watched or tracked BHPH) he was convincing there then as a stubborn arrogant ASR he is doing a good job 👏

actually i too got confused a lot trying to understand what exactly ASR is upto
i could not make out using ASR expression, thats the precise reason i went and looked back
some BHPH epi to see is it Barun problem or CVs
Becuase if man cant act then i will skip the show its not use seeing the same expression
it gets boring after some time , even Arhi scenes will not be able to hold me
and i did not wanted to be disappointed
Thank god it looks like its CVs who want that exactly not conveying what ASR is upto.

Why he will question ? he just does not believe in god. he just gives in because of his
sister remember he is ready to come but not to change the dress 😳 even when he makes
kushi drink water and later she blames him for breaking vrat he is like " how in the world
should i remember that you kept vrat for me you have fainted and reviving you was important " Silent war will come at later point of time but not with god but with himself
i am sure there is lot of testing time for ASR as a character and barun as an actor
i would love to see the conflict of loving the girl more than himself but hating her
more than anything else in the world 😍

haha you are right in a way, but thats what we want , but ASR is not like that
he does not want anything from god once he told anajali that "maange kya lena
isse jyada maange tho my board room main poori kartha hoon 😳 " so he just
does not have communication with God its not started at all for him god is not
existing

yes CVs are to be blamed here not the actor, but then ASR is the character of arrogance
and stubborn, confidence less words he will keep quite rather than talk, prefers keeping his
thought to himself, he does not want to criticize others too so thats the way they want to show

and finally found the answer so long theories 😆

I am fine with even his dialogue delivery too.. correct amount of punch and softness when required.

Sorry to differ, but i think Barun's acting is just awesome.

Like tibs09 had mentioned that delivery of "pata nahin kya kiya hai" quickly followed by "aisi kuch baat nahin hai.." was really good.

He is making the character quite relatable and makes us feel what he is going through. When he held Kushi's hand while getting the thaal, i felt he wanted to convey.."i want you...not the thaal"...and after doing the arathi that sideways glance asked, "did you understand"...

when shyam and anjali were talking to each other, maami, akash were all smiling...but asr had an expression of relief and contentment...that maturity in handling responsibilities was seen...

it would be exciting to see if and how he will change and share a joke with Kushi or tease her ...

I agree with the TM. It is indeed difficult to interpret Barun's expression at times as most often it is the same. He has however phenomenal screen presence. I hope he improves his acting skills with time. If not, at least if he can speak out his thoughts aloud...

Its not Arnav cursing God, its coz of the pain his sister is going thru, its him merely taunting the idol. Ofcourse he doesnt believe. At the end wat i gotta say is, People can really sit back and enjoy being his fans, the post is merely an opinion of a fellow member, which every member has the right to disagree or agree to as per their wishes. I know Aanchal quite well enough to say that she's a sweetheart and hurting any1's sentiment was certainly not her intention.

i am never a gaga over fan of anybody 😆
i will never watch a serial just because my fav actor is in there!
thats goes to sharukh or aamir too i will not watch a movie just because they are there 😆

except on one ocation when i saw movie aamir just because of Rajiv khandewala 😆😉 but i did not even watch a single epi of aamne saamne , thats how it works for me

i was also little bit worried about the acting and in turn longevity of the serial because SP is a very big channel and views vary from kids to old having different liking 😕 so was digging whole of last week and my pov and support for Barun comes from that nothing about this particular post. because see my other post

That is the case with me too, SRK, i even saw Dulha Mil Gaya for Him 🤣 🤣 Oh well i started watching the show for San, but now am watching it for all of em, Luvin the show :D

I saw tht post, n it pleasantly surprised me giving an insight into Shravan Ghanti nahin baji ROFL thts hilarious..! I am basically not blaming Barun for the essence which i missed, i am blaming the writers who are moulding Arnav's character and have currently brought head on focus onto the fact that he can go to any lengths for his sister. Barun stands at rank 3 in my list of favourites, that says enough as to what extent i have been charmed by this guy. 😳
