Where do I start?
1) The concept...In today's time, we are consciously forgetting everything classical, language, literature, the culture so on and so forth. No matter which part of the world you go the phenomenon is pretty universal. It is very heartening to see people turning back to their roots. The concept of Navaras was first propounded in Bharat Natya Shastra. There is no art form that exists outside the periphery of these Rasas. SO big congratulations for bringing this collaboration to us, and what better time than Navaratri. The nine forms of Durga itself depicts the navarasas.
2) Harshada your write-up 'Fear' actually brought out the bhav of fear very well. This is my understanding could be quite different from the inspiration behind your write up but I believe the biggest fear of any one's life is fear of the unknown, or fear of tomorrow. A lot of people are scared to take that huge leap of faith because they are scared of a possible untoward result. Fear strangulates hope and thus life itself. What worth does a hopeless life have? That I guess is what your Anika's fear was Fear of the unknown.

3)Ms.Lizzie :- Peace...Oh, what a ruckus we are in and this world at the moment needs nothing more than peace and it is that butterfly that when in grip simply dies otherwise is forever elusive. You brought it out so well. Peace is not something to look out for. It is not a prop to enhance your performance on this stage. It lives very much within you. You stop craving for it or for anything else and it comes and sits on shoulder casually fluttering its wings away, and changing the course of the winds around you. Your write-up reminded me of butterfly effect I had once read about somewhere. I am glad Omkaraji found his butterfly and waited for her to come to her on her own wish. Very well written. Kudo!

Rainzz:- I Need Me, Can there be a greater truth? One who fails to rise for him/herself can never rise up to anyone else. It takes a lot of courage to accept sadness as a lifelong companion and show compassion towards one's own self. You brought out Anika's compassion not only for her self but also for her brother. Such a short write-up up but with such beautiful deep undertones.Kudos!

Book.Worm. Joy is something that simply spreads no matter how great an Akbar or SHivay Singh Oberoi you are, joy is a very infectious virus and it eventually curves the straightest of lips. Gauri's joy was as infectious as it could get. It reached out beyond the screen. The caveat; I am very easy to please as I am not Shivay Singh Oberoi. Waiting for my drink though..Great work!

Flames Of Anger

Rasa- Anger (Rudram)

He sat in the darkness, his eyes fiery and mind scorching hot with his thoughts. Her flashes continued to haunt him. It pierced his heart more. He din't know how long had he been sitting there.

Where was she? Why was she there? What was she doing there? Why was she away from him? Why did she say she needed a break from him? These questions which a while ago tensed him, made him worry for her, made him mad at himself. Now, disgusted him. Ever since that phone call.

She had been with another man! How many he wondered? That women was exactly what he had first assumed her to be. One cheap woman!

He remembered how she always hovered around him, asking for attention. What right did that woman have to ask what she was in his life? He clenched his jaw in anger. FAKE.

Everything was fake, The concern, the care, the friendship, the ...attraction. She was cheating on him, even a blind man would get it. He was NOT BLIND! He had just begun trusting her. Just, started a little more than, liking her. Started understanding and seeing her in a way he never did. Just, started treating her like a wife.

He had been first. Stupid decision he took of for once opening up his heart for her. But, why did her betrayal pain so much, now. It never did before. Perhaps, because he had ...fallen for her. Her selfless nature, the way she loved his family, the way she would stand by him through the thin and thick. Everything was pretence! He threw away the vase placed on the side tale by which he sat.

The sound of the metallic vase echoed and died down. But his anger dint! With every thought he hated her more. She had done what everyone else had done to him. Just like his dad cheated on his mom. That woman cheated on him! She was fake just like Riddhima and Ishana had been. But this woman had taken her drama to a next level. She had fooled not just him but his family as well. He gritted his teeth in anger. No one messes with his family, how dare she play with their emotions. He was used to people playing with his emotions but he wouldn't tolerate anyone messing with his family's feelings.

Suddenly the silence was broken and so was his trail of thoughts. The door creaked open and she stepped in. She slowly closed the door and tip-toed inside. She hadn't had plans of coming back to his home so soon. But had changed her mind after her English class. After all the family was her priority now, and so much was to be done for Bhaiya and Bhaujaai's wedding. Also, she had promised Daadi she would do all the duties perfectly. She couldn't run away from those promises. She assumed he had slept seeing the room dark. She sent up a thankful prayer to Shankarji, the last thing she wanted to do was answer his questions or fight with him again.

She had only taken a few steps ahead, when the lights were turned on hitting her eyes. She blinked accustoming her eyes to the sudden brightness and saw him standing with his arms folded. His eyes had the stone expression she had seen the second time she had met him.

"Back home so soon? he slowly advanced towards her.

"woo...Omkara Ji hum...

He dint stop and continued to walk to her, she looked fluttered and unconsciously started moving behind.

"What happen Gauri tum theek toh ho? he asked his voice feigning concern.

Gauri smiled in slight relief and nodded in a yes. "Wo hum...break...apko...kher..raat bahut..She terribly groped for words.

"Haan kal subha aa jaati...! You should have stayed the night! Raat ko wain ruk jaati

"What do you mean ? she said baffled.

"Ahaan...english...badi fast ho yaar!

"Yeh aap kya keh rahe hai, humari samajh mein kuch nahi aa raha " she spoke genuinely confused.

His patience was lost. In one quick move he held her arm and pulled her closer, looking at her menacingly. "Bas Karo.Apna yeh natak. Kina girogi aur. Sabke saamne kuch aur peeth peeche kuch aur! Enough.

She trembled in his hold and his angry voice. "Pehle, hum koi naatak nahi kar rahe hain! Humaara haath chodiye, kis haq se aap...

"o kis haq haan he said his hold getting stronger. "I thought, tum apne aapko meri patni maanti thii!

"Rishtey mane se ban toh nahi jaate naa. Aapne hi shikaya hai. Aur hmaare mane se aap humaare pati nahi bante toh hum aapki patni kaise ho sakte hain...aapne kabhi hummein.."

"Shut up. Apna ye nonsesnse pati-vratha bane ka drama bandh karo. Koi kitna gir sakta hai. Break...Beak ke naam pe tum toh...Mujhe toh kehne mein bhi bura lag raha hai. Kaisi aurat ho tum! Her eyes grew wide and turned red with anger. As soon as he left her hand in disgust she swung it a slap clapping on his cheek.

He looked at her with bloodshot eyes. How dare you? he screamed back.

"Hadde aapne paar ki hain! "she spat, furious.

"Tumhaari baatein tumhaare character se match nahi karti!"

"Aap ne naa kabhi humein samjha naa samjhne ki koshish ki, sirf...sirf ilzaam lagaaye, sirf jo chahaa wo samjha. Aap tab bhi galat thee abhi. Tears rolled down her cheeks. She was tired off giving explanations to him.

"Jo khud galti kare wo doosre ko galat kehne ke laayak nahi hota! "He shot back angrily at her.

"Yeh jo naqaab pehenti ho naa...phek do...aur kitna girogi? " he said pointed his hand at her face.

Her cheeks flushed and eyes red she stared at him. Taking a step ahead she grabbed the lapels of his sherwaani. "Kyun aisa kya galat kiya hai humne, kaunsi galti ki hai, jo humein aap yeh aisi sazaa de rahe hain?

She cried, her voice cracked as she spoke the words her anger underlying her voice.

Leaving him she stepped away. With every step she took back, she was filled with regret and anger. Regret of loving this man and Anger, anger of still loving him and trying to work it out.

"Sabse badi galti humaari yeh hai ki,

Hum aapse pyaar kar baithe!

Omkara Ji- Omkara Ji- Omkara Ji "she frantically moved left and right.

"Sirf Omkara Ji...Humaari poori zindagi aapke ird-gird ghum ne lagi."

She stood defeated as he stared at her with his stone gaze. She wanted to scream, tell him not to look at her like that. It hurt, it hurt n heaps and bounds. The pain of him seeing her with disgust and hatred pained, and the pain was boundless.

She dragged herself down to the floor against the wall, unable to even stand on her feet, for she had fallen. Fallen in Love. Fallen really hard and fallen really bad.

A longish pause followed as he looked at her with no particular emotion., and she continued to cry her pain out.

"Ho gaya toh...you can leave. " he spoke still angry.

She looked up at him in shock. She felt disgusted. Her anger rose. She rose on her feet and walked to him.

"Kya aapke seene mein dil nahi hai?

"Hai, Tukdon mein pada hai. Judne laga thaa, phirse bikahar gaaya. He spoke painfully lokking at the wall behind her.

She couldn't help but cry. She could see him in tremendous pain despite the tears of hurt that clouded her eyes.

"Kyun de rahe hai dard?

Apne aapko aur hummein?

He finally lowered her gaze down at her.

"Jo dawaa ke naam pe zeher ho,

Unhe dard ke baare mein sochne ka haq nahi hota!

Her tears now dried.

"Sahi keh rahe hai aap,
Humaare zindagi ka sabse bada dard aur,
Sabse badi galti,
Dono hi aap hain!"

She dint care to turn around to see how much she had hurt him with those words. Which she was sure she had. She was angry. It wasn't easy to make her angry. But once she was angry the world had to face the consequences of her wrath.

Just like when Maa Durga was angry and had taken the Maha Kaali Aavatar, she could only be stopped when Lord Shiv himself, obstructed her way by coming beneath her.

Omkara had dared once again to repeat the mistake of pointing to her character. A mistake could be forgiven once not again and again.

He could only stop her anger from destroying their relationship if he bent down and apologised. But it wasn't an easy task.

But he was a hot head himself. The flames of his anger, still burning. He wouldn't bend now. No he wouldn't His anger did not let him see beyond.

Alas! The fire of anger only caused the world to turn to ashes.

And, The Ashes Were What Remained !

P.S

Hope you liked this shot on Anger. Anger destroys the bad but when it goes like an uncontrolled fire it destroys all. Anger is the most dangerous weapon that humans have. If not used wisely it leaves nothing but ashes behind.

A very happy Durga Ashtmi To All Of You.
May the Goddess always keep you blessed.
