About SSO and OUR Double Standars- Lets Flip our Thoughts - Page 4

The thing i didn't like about SSO was him placing his foot near Anika's fce. No matter what explaination someone gives for this act I just found it disturbing.

Coming to the sequence I wasn't much surprised as I knew this would be the bad side of SSO. He qas angry and we all are aware of his temper issues and how he gets aggressive. This wasn't the first time he did to anika. This time it got a bit more intense.

Agree with you it was approripiate for the story and ShivIka's story. And i also liked the episode

Manhandling is a complete different thing. Shivaay was hust behaving aggressively with Anika. Maybe it's juat that when a male gets agressive with a girl we name it as manhandling.

About that Rape thing i haven't seen something(comment or post) like that yet. So i won't comment on that. I think people just need someone to bash once in a while. We need to think about the broader picture.

C when a girl slaps a guy we call it woman empowerment... N we all clap... When. A guy slaps a girl we call it violence... Y? Hypocrites we all r... Intact we go on to say ladke ki hi galati hogi... Like preeti said if Shivaay had walked out on tia we wud hv blamed Shivaay n anyone whom tia wud hv married we wud hv called that guy the savior... Her tia walked out on Shivaay n Shivaay managed the situation for himself with a deal... For him marriage is a deal... N he Does think only from his head... Problem is anika thinks only from heart... She doesn't understand that sometimes financial implications leading to reputation tarnishing n hence impacting health of ppl is also very possible... Shivaay is a business tycoon... Such a mess by tia wud deffo put a lot at stake for him... His business, reputation, daadi's health... His mom's health... He is on verge or destruction... N he had managed well... Anika advised the girl who had agreed infront of her parents for this deal... N boom the girl is gone... So Shivaay questions a supposed 'characterless girl' who gave her the right to decide what's right n what's wrong...

Shivaay thinks Anika is someone who slept with someone for money. And now she if giving him gyan about getting married on contract. She, a girl with no morals has now left him in a place where his family name will get tarnished. That is what irked him. And when he questioned her, she slapped him.

Again, NOT justifying his actions... but if I think about it from his POV, if not understand, I can at-least see why he did what he did.

I think this is why I did not celebrate her slap much...just as I didn't celebrate his manhandling.

She did truly interfere and spoiled his plans (even though she had a legit reason but she still spoiled his plans and because of her, his bride ran away). And after that slap, that too from a 'characterless' girl who has made his last minute bride run away, it was expected for him to lose any semblance of control that was left. Again, not justifying his actions.

And she also slapped him because of HIS misunderstanding that she's slept with Daksh for money. SO to me, both were wrong and right in a way. And I don't particularly enjoy watching FL slapping ML or vice versa. Shivaay has spiralled down to the lowest pit.I hope the upward trajectory they show us is convincing and does not involve making Annika anymore a mahaan FL than she already is. It would leave a bad taste!

He wants her to save his reputation by marrying him as it was on her advice that his substitute ran away... Seedhe se bolta toh anika manane wali nahi thi na... She thinks by heart alone... She doesn't think by mind at all... Agar sochti toh Before giving advice she wud hv realised Shivaay has done best to hold the situation which is getting sabotaged...

His physical abuse isn't justified n so is Anika's slap...coz Both r violence in the end...

You have said it all that we have been discussing.
And iM NEVER going to be tired of repeating how LITTLE i enjoy violence, ideological or physical, but there are violences of many kinds according to individual flaws. I will NEVER be okay with any one hitting anyone else, and anyone else romanticising that violence.

But throwing around extremely sensitive words like rape, bipolar, psycho, people need to educate themselves a bit more for these words are offensive to those who HAVE been on the receiving end of all this.
I'm sorry but rape-culture is a hugely problematic and sensitive concept and i refuse to believe that that is what was being portrayed OR that is what came across in yday's epi.

HE reasons where correct , his actions where not, but one has to change, coz change happens, that not unrealistic, HE IS A GENTLEMAN AS WELL , you cannot deny that, you have seen the gentle man only.. This beast was forced to come out, oh yes it will come out AGAIN, when ANIKA his FAMILY will be targeted in future by MONSTERS like Daksh !

I am not forgetting these movies, redemption is one of the most beautiful developments a character can undergo, my favourite hero Anshuman Rathore accuses his wife of adultery but then he had the most beautiful redeptiom track .. the best i ever saw on TV .. my problem is and will be with the developments .. now on dadi's insistence they will live together? They made shivaay cross the limit for the sake of drama and now he went with dadi to that girl's house who he was threatening to rape? Its just weak screenplay just to bring them together .. and i have a problem with that .. if u made him cross a limit then let him deal with it .. but if not .. then stay realistic ..

Be brave in what u show .. dont make him run to her house the next day bcz the leads have to be together and that will bring TRP .. be brave and let ur characters face the consequences of what they did ..
