I can't thank u more...I was just afraid entering into the forum after yesterday's epi...pplr were bashing SSO fr being SSO ! when he was only being true to his charater ! he neither can cry lyk rudra nor he is able to indulge himself into something else lyk om ...he is the eldest son of a business family...who has the responsibility of family reputation on his shoulder...is being protective abt family reputation a crime? he tried to solve his prob his way...but anika whose viewpoint was different than him , assumed it the biggest crime ever...that scene completely defined that they need to explore more abt each other...they don't know the other one at all... let alone thinking from other's pov

Appreciating a performance and justifying actions is two different things... I loved the performances by both the leads... I am currently enjoying laughing and hating shivaay.. Coz he is supposed to be hated.. He isnt doing anything which is to be loved... But since as viewers we are seeing it all.. We surely know his reasons for totally going out of control; we are just stating them.

At some one saying the show should have the leads not ending up together... Well its to real for a fantasy love story and audience wont like it.

Hats off to u pritha. Seriously this is a much wanted post. Pritha u explained everything very beautifully. I was very disappointed yesterday the way people thought about yesterday's episode. I personally felt it was the best. I know as a girl, the way SSO was acting with Anika was not acceptable.
This not the first time shivaay was like this, we have seen this side of shivaay in the past also. For him family is the most important thing and he will do anything for his family. Yesterday for him everything he did yesterday was to safeguard his family reputation, all his emotions, thoughts etc were shut down at the moment.
When it comes to Anika, she is too good. She did what she felt she should do and there nothing wrong with that. At the end of the day both did what's best for them and for present situation.

Mind blowing post for a mind blowing acts & facts. How can we forget conveniently that if a boy walks out of the marriage, all will cry like hell dropped on them as the brides and her families reputation was tarnished and have seen in many cases that either bride or her father killing themselves out of humiliation. here the case of Oberoi's is more as their reputation, business and everything will fall and flow in the drains.

Here after Tia's walk out, he had managed to have a marriage of convenience (he didn't promised the father that he will fall head over heel for his daughter and she will be the queen of Oberoi family. He made the deal by using financial means which was accepted by the father. So it was a win win situation for both.

Anika spoilt it by advising the girl to follow her heart and normally what do we do at home, if some one damages something? We ask them to rectify it by themselves and that is what Shivaye asked Anika to do. If she says she believed that Shivaye may kill her brother, then she is the real fool and has not understood him even 1%. He just used her fear to get her ready to marry him and she was very much in her sense when she married Shivaye. if she married him to save her brother from death, Shivaye did that to save his Daadi (the old lady would have died of heart attack after knowing the bride has walked over her grand son.

It's very strange how behaviour so violent is lauded under the guise of characterisation. Yes, he is not in his right mind and is resulting to such atrocious behaviour, but somewhere this kind of behaviour sends out a wrong message. He needs to understand his mistake and earn his respect back..

totally agree with you... sso ko to sso hi rehna hain... koi bhi insaan apni personality apna nature puri 360 degree me nahi badal sakta fir chahe wo pyarme bhi kyu na ho to sso shivay kuch percent tak banega but agar puri personality uski badli to wo bewakoofi lagegi.

I think our biggest drawback as an audience is the fact that we analyze the information presented to us also like an audience, and we don't do it from the character's perspective.

Shivaay thinks Anika is someone who slept with someone for money. And now she if giving him gyan about getting married on contract. She, a girl with no morals has now left him in a place where his family name will get tarnished. That is what irked him. And when he questioned her, she slapped him.

Again, NOT justifying his actions... but if I think about it from his POV, if not understand, I can at-least see why he did what he did.
