So all the outrage on Narmada's treatment of Imlie, one thing was missed out (at least i didn't give it much thought before I stumbled across some tweets on the topic. Even when @Sir-Please mentioned to me, i was casual about it.)

Imlie being rude to strangers

Imlie was rude to nurse in Aryan's room, then to the doctor who was managing blood bank and then in traffic jam as well.

But this isn't the first instance, last time she abused a random autowala, snatched his auto to reach Tripathi house after she sensed Aparna's distress over the phone on her CEO day.

In both situations she was distressed about her family members being in trouble. And while I was disappointed in her on CEO day, it was easier for me to let it slide this time around. I can think a few reasons for my different reaction as a viewer:

1) acceptance that this is her character trait, being raised by Satyakaam

2) this time she did it for Aryan (and less for my love for aryan, more for the fact that he's been there for her, as an unconditional support always)

Thoughts and opinions please.

I personally accepted this as one of her character traits. That's how she reacts when in distress and in eagerness to help her loved ones.

TBH i would like her to be little more considerate about other people as well. Maybe they are nothing to her but they definitely mean alot to their respective families.

I have always noticed it and found it quite distasteful.

Maybe the makers are trying to show her as a ball of fire by randomly insulting and shouting at the strangers. She sees them as hurdles, mindless floks maybe 🤔 who are in a way of some bigger good she's trying really hard to do hence she needs to put them out of her way. That's how I understand the way she behaves with strangers. And I find it quite hypocratic because she acts as all mahaan. But then really doesn't care about people she doesn't have attachment to expect when they trigger her savior complex🤪

I don't mind her being rude to blue kaki, she had it coming to her for all the namecalling and insults, but random unsuspecting strangers is not cool.

Well yeah, another example was uday's intro scene, when he's being rude to the lady (later turned out his mother)

Well it is undoubtedly.

But she is also someone who fights for random strangers when others are being rude to them, so in a way it's inconsistent.

I didn't like the auto scene because it was so unnecessary. Like she just made a phone call and there was some issue at t house.. Like sister calm down, you are behaving as if there is a fire. You don't even know what the problem is. No one is dying

This time it was understandable bec there was a real possibility that aru might die. So hyper hona banta hai

Just bad conceptualisation i think. Bec she is shown as someone who will help strangers too. Poore dil jaan se. So not exactly rude i guess

It's so true, Imlie has acted really rude. I have not seen fully but even during Arylie marriage she was doing it for Tripathi family but she was very rude to Aryan. Actual marriage was also due to AKT, it was not due to Aryan.

Actually for TRP drama they have made Imlie's character the most inconsistent one of all in whole show I suppose and there is no other explanation for her inconsistent behaviour. The other day when nargis met with accident then as a good human she got her admitted to hospital but later on she was crying in aryan's arms ki vo ladki bohot akeli hai, hum uski madad kaise kare etc. and then next day she is begging some doctors and misbehaving with some other nurse and doctors who are just doing their duty is purely inconsistent writing to generate drama and that's all. And yeah as someone pointed here, her selective sweet and rude behaviour with people is also because of her hero complex and also because she thinks that since she's doing this for greater good of her apne so her rude behaviour is also justified with her mentor and friend aryan and also random strangers like that poor autowalla. She is sensitive to people's emotions selectively and no good person can be selectively sensitive, they are sensitive to the emotions of others almost 99% of the times barring some exceptions. So yeah I'll say it again her selective behaviour is because of inconsistent writing and also to generate drama factor to earn TRP and hence money.
So it's better we take whatever the makers give us with a pinch of salt and not expect too much from her character.
